Obama was the first one to assemble huge digital voter mailing lists. Now all candidates do that. For example, Hillary likely purchased or used Obama’s voter data list, and Biden likely used some of Bernie’s list after Bernie lost, so they could target their voters. Thats how it works these days.

They’ve improved each cycle. I would have to go back and refresh myself on what Trump needed Russia to do that American firms couldn’t legally do, but they basically shared all of the internal polling data with each other and targeted certain voters to climb back in the race in Pa, Mich, etc., in the last 2 weeks. Trump wasn’t able to do most of those things the second time around, so Cyber Command was on the ball.

What was new in 2016 was Russia’s and Cambridge Analytica’s help with the micro-targeting. Thats why Manafort sent them polling from specific places so they knew exactly where to target in the final weeks. Since then, Republican firms have adopted Russia’s model and used it in 2020. Were both parties doing it in 2016? No. Are they both doing something similar now? Dunno. I can’t answer that.

If you could get rid of S.S. and 50 other government programs by installing UBI and Universal HC, would that be more, less, or more efficient government? Where I think both parties get it wrong is with means-testing and policy designed for certain groups. For example, there shouldn’t be major legislation designed to help only women and small children. It should help every American or not be created. Can you name a moderate Republican?

That used to be my job. I worked for an Ad firm and we’d just identify undecided voters and hit them with direct mail ads. You can break it down to “lean Dem/lean R. This was before social media existed. Now, you can just hire firms that know every single thing there is to know about voters and just hammer them with fake news, issues that trigger them, etc., through their newsfeed.

I’m just here for the shaming campaign that was recently launched. Trumpers thought everyone would appease them all the way through to the end. Nope! PAIN is coming for those folks. -

That business must have really pissed someone off or didn’t comply in some way. That’s what schools have to do. I haven’t heard of a business doing that yet. -

Why are you getting all freaked out? I doubt restaurants, etc., would do that for obvious reasons, but places like Verizon, other large companies In sure will have something in place for their own protection. Remember, that liability protection thing Mitch wanted in the stimulus bills was never included. -

I assume most businesses will be doing that on their own. On the news earlier, they said the WH was “handing down those responsibilities to industry.” 1 year from now: FOX: Biden Administration pulls Vaccine Awareness Campaign from WH.gov in a blatant attempt to kill Republicans. -

They’re livelihood threatened by being forced to take a vaccine, or being forgotten when everyone else is vaccinated and they start dying? -

Just making sure that when we go on with our lives and forget that a certain group refused to get vaccinated, they won’t turn around and call it genocide. I’m glad we understand each other. -

I don’t believe the vaccine is being withheld from any certain group. They are refusing to take it. They want to be free. So that’s the plan? They want to refuse the vaccine and then claim the country is trying to kill them? Yup, I guess I should’ve seen that coming. -

Giving you the freedom to not be vaccinated is genocide? You can’t have it both ways. They want to be free and they should be free. This is America. -

I was just pointing out that his analogy isn’t logical. Would it really be worth Dems trouble to take it that far? I doubt it. We know what group won’t get vaccinated. Politically speaking, why would they want that group vaccinated? -

Your voter ID example doesn’t work. You’re trying to require an ID, which isn’t required, for someone to exercise their right to vote. We would be requiring a vaccine to have a license and register a car, which is a privilege, not a right. You’d still have the freedom to not get the vaccine. You just can’t drive or register a car. Pretty basic. -
Well, that isn’t actually true. We know state systems in some states had their voter rolls hacked. That wasn’t intended to actually change votes, it was to hump up precincts and create confusion and long lines, due to people’s data being deleted, changed, modified, etc. States reported that happening in highly dense Dem areas. Those stories slowly trickled out over those 4 years. All that matters is that they fixed it. There were no reports this time around.

Oh no. I don’t consume such things. I’m technically a vegetarian because I need hard boiled eggs on my salads. That’s the only animal product I eat. No dairy. For leisure, I consume strong Kratom…..and coffee. Quit drinking years ago. -

When I went to my vaccine site, I asked the cop if there was a separate line for people that wanted only the chip, and not the vaccine. He didn’t think that was funny. Maybe he was just tired. -

I like the HC option. That way, you can take risk and have your freedom, but if you get it and become hospitalized, you’re on your own for that 100k bill. That seems like a pretty fair compromise.
