  1. People always assume that the party in power will suffer big midterm losses but it really looks like they’re going to bucks that trend this time. It’s a very unique political landscape and we shouldn’t compare it to previous administrations, especially with Republicans in so much turmoil.
  2. There isn’t enough time to switch gears before the midterms. They just wasted that opportunity. All they can do now is hope for super low turnout and cross their fingers. I expect Democrats to make the midterms about student loan debt/voting rights to increase young turnout. They’re definitely dragging their feet on those issues on purpose. If Biden’s numbers are still over 50 percent, there really isn’t anything Republicans can do. Democrats will also win that NC Senate seat and that’s all she wrote.
  3. It doesn’t look like R’s will take back Congress. There’s a lot more swing districts than people realize. Those seats are all in jeopardy now. I’m not sure they care. It looks like the plan is to just ride out The Big Lie and then hopefully start the rebuild right after the next presidential election loss, if the party hasn’t completely split by then.
  4. When is Bills @ Jets? I’m only 20 minutes away. I hope it’s week 6 or later.
  5. It actually happened way back in 2003. It’s just been a slow motion car wreck ever since. Trump was just the doubling down on crazy because they couldn’t fix the other issues they had with voters and the demographic changes. Republican consultants knew the math no longer worked unless there were big changes made to the party’s platform.
  6. No one showed up to vote for Bernie. He got slaughtered in the south. They yelled all day on the internet and not a single one of them put their game controller down and voted for the guy. He also has a problem with African American voters for whatever reason. Voters in SC just don’t know who the guy is. He struggles with name recognition with black voters. His campaign did recognize this problem and tried to improve, but it was never going to be enough after the Clyburn/Biden endorsement dropped.
  7. Trump needed to hit an inside straight. He had 1 path to victory and lost ALL 5 of those states. Don’t you think that was asking a bit too much? It would be a little different if he won 3 of those states and it came down to Georgia and Arizona, but that didn’t happen. He got destroyed. That wasn’t a close election at all.
  8. We should have some Gaetz news in the coming days. That little girl flipped so it’s not looking good for him. Rudy will take bit longer because they’re combing through his belongings figuring out what falls under attorney client privilege.
  9. So the party’s message should be…..The Big Lie? Just go with that and see what happens? What happens after that?
  10. Obviously, the Trumpism exit ramp was planned out well over a year ago when it was clear he wasn’t going to win, but I do give her credit for going first. There will be many more in the coming weeks.
  11. Why are Israelis so racist? Not sure. My dad was born in Israel. He isn’t racist.
  12. “Remaining silent and ignoring the lie emboldens the liar,” Ms. Cheney said. “I will not participate in that. I will not sit back and watch in silence, while others lead our party down a path that abandons the rule of law and joins the former president’s crusade to undermine our democracy.”
  13. I’ve been searching for the answer to this also. I always hear Bill Maher, Fox personalities, etc. complaining about it. I went to NYC and Hoboken NJ recently and asked around. I walked by some of these progressive schools. Basically, whatever it is they’re complaining about only exists in extremely wealthy private schools in NYC and possibly LA. Schools where millionaire’s kids go. It’s not happening anywhere in the public school system. Well, there’s Arabs that live and move freely in Israel and then there’s Palestinians who are surrounded by a huge wall that runs right through their land. They have to pass through checkpoints to come and go. Two entirely different groups. Then there’s the African migrant workers that get treated horribly in Israel. Yeah, they’re not very nice over there. Then you have the illegal settlements which you’ve probably heard about.
  14. Yeah, you pay into it. It comes out of your paycheck. They don’t take it out of yours?
  15. I don’t think you fully understand the history and the issue itself. Most Americans don’t. There are quite a few great documentaries from both sides available for viewing.
  16. Looks like Cuomo is going to survive. The pandemic, economy, pedo Gaetz, Rudy, Liz, all overshadowed his scandals.
  17. You need to go on unemployment. Cooks are the #1 profession for Covid deaths. Luckily, I’ve paid into something my whole life called “UI insurance” and I will approve you. Shh! No one else on this board has paid into this “secret” program so it’s VIP.
  18. We need to keep the cult leader alive and intact. The January 6 commission on every tv screen across America should help accomplish that. He caused the party to lose 3 out of 4 major elections and we need that to continue a few more cycles.
  19. Oh no! He got played. https://theweek.com/speedreads/982099/mccarthy-reportedly-gambling-that-dumping-liz-cheney-trump-help-make-house-speaker
  20. Joe cannot be stopped. The GOP is dead and buried.
  21. I forgot. The “deep state” did all of those things. Trump was just a president who was being victimized by others. He’s not responsible for anything that happened in 4 years. That was “Obama’s” people that did all of that. This was the first infusion of money. I believe they did it 2 more times after that.
