  1. With the 99th pick in the TSW Mock Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Ben Cleveland, IOL, Georgia The once proud Cowboys offensive line was pretty atrocious last year. While players returning from injury should help, we want to begin to rebuild the unit through the draft. No better place to start than with this mountain of a man, Ben Cleveland, who is 6'6", 354 lbs. Instead of using more words to talk about Ben Cleveland, I'm just gonna leave this picture of he and his fiance here. @glazeduck and the Inglewood Chargers are now on the clock.
  2. Fair. If I'm ranking "points that are of value in a player debate", though, I'm assigning "accrued Pro Bowl bids" at least as much value as "subjective opinion of message board poster".
  3. The specific discussion to which I was replying is/was about whether or not the Bills play Tremaine Edmunds "out of position". While I know that's a hill that several posters here are willing to die on, it seems quite clear that the Bills brass and coaches simply don't agree. Neither, apparently, do the Pro Bowl voters.
  4. And what about the 2020 season, where fans had no say in things and the players were voted on strictly by NFL players and coaches? Was that Pro Bowl bid invalid, too?
  5. Totally fine with that. I like Trey Smith. Just didn't want to get out of the first three rounds without taking a corner, as I don't want to have to rely on Levi Wallace again or wait until round 5 or later to take a swing.
  6. Yeah, and he’s suffered to the tune of two Pro Bowls in three seasons. Poor kid.
  7. Just bustin balls. No offense intended.
  8. But one of them is Watkins101, so I'll see ya tomorrow.
  9. Looking back at who was on the board when the Bills picked in each round, now that they've made all three selections for this exercise... I would have preferred either: CB Tyson Campbell/ WR Elijah Moore EDGE Joe Tryon WR D'wayne Eskridge/ CB Trill Williams
  10. Well....I guess it's pretty clear that TBDers want to fix the defense. Can't say I agree with the value of the last two Bills choices, though. 1T in the 2nd round and Big Nickel in the 3rd round? That's a lot of cheddar to spend on two part time players.

  12. The part about Zaven Collins was really interesting to me, because I felt like they were talking about Tremaine Edmunds. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with their takes. I just found it interesting. TULSA LINEBACKER ZAVEN COLLINS Defensive Coach No. 2: He has some freaky stuff to him, but he has to be in a particular scheme like Philly, Indy, Minnesota or Dallas where he can stack and run and hit; he’s not the most physical guy. I know people compare him to Anthony Barr, but I think Barr was more fluid. You watch his film and he’s good in coverage, but I’m not sure how it’s gonna translate to our level. He’s so big; I’d be nervous if he’s out there one-on-one with (Christian) McCaffrey or a Tarik Cohen or someone like that. He plays high; not a thumper. He can chase plays down. I think his instincts are pretty good. Defensive Coach No. 3: I like him a lot, but what are you looking for? Is he an outside linebacker? You can’t teach 6-4, 260 and moves like that. I think he’s an Anthony Barr-type player, but you better have a clear-cut vision for him. At 6-4 trying to play inside linebacker, it will be hard to get his pads down, and he’s not gonna run around people like he’s in Conference USA. The way the league’s going now, the best middle linebackers, Devin White, Roquan Smith, Devin Bush, Pat Queen, Lavonte David, are all like 6 feet or shorter, and it’s such a space game now.
  13. 🤣 I friggin' love this guy. Anyone have folks in their lives with this many one-liners and colloquialisms?
  14. This will pitch the “jersey numbers determine career outcomes” club into existential crisis.
  15. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/04/21/nfl-passes-expanded-jersey-number-rule/ Get ready for jersey numbers to look different. NFL owners approved a rule proposal today that dramatically expands which positions are eligible to wear which numbers. Now jerseys with numbers in the single digits can be worn by defensive backs, linebackers, running backs, fullbacks, tight ends, H-backs and wide receivers. Defensive backs and linebackers could wear any number from 1 to 49, while running backs, fullbacks, tight ends, H-backs and wide receivers can all wear 1 to 49 and 80 to 89. Quarterbacks, punters and kickers will still be required to wear numbers 1 to 19, linemen will still wear 50 to 79, and defensive linemen and linebackers could also wear 90 to 99. Several NFL players have indicated that they’ll consider changing their jersey numbers this season.
  16. I'm sure the resident TBD draft experts will weigh in, but I, for one, absolutely believe he would be a great fit for the Bills and a real asset to our defense. As you stated, he has positional versatility, and can play a traditional safety role or capably take snaps as a big nickel/slot defender. He has even shown skill as a punt returner. Prior to opting out of the 2020 season, he was a turnover machine at Oregon. NFL.com lists his player comp as Jordan Poyer. The only problem with Holland is that I believe 30 is too high to pick him, and he won't still be on the board at 61. He seems to fall in that 35-55 range. Unless the Bills trade back, I don't see how they can draft him. Furthermore, with Poyer and Hyde having both recently been extended, I'm not sure they'd view at as a worthy use of resources. I like the player a lot, though.
  17. Gotta love someone who levels an accusation of “idiotic post” and then says the nonsense above. You bought Trump’s Big Lie (which has been refuted by, oh , I dunno, ANYONE with a shred of credibility) hook, line, and sinker and you’re accusing ME of idiocy? That’s rich. 😂
  18. I don’t want to hijack this thread. There’s already a thread about this. Suffice it to say: you’re ignoring and/or conveniently failing to mention a few very key points, and you’re absolutely a perfect example of those who fail to acknowledge the serious reality of what occurred that day. Feel free to PM me or take this up in the 1/6 thread.
  19. Keep proving my point.
  20. Define “creeps”.
  21. Case in point, re: minimizing/downplaying. 10,000 bonus points for “horsecockery”. By the way, in looking back over your posts in the 1/06 panel thread and others, I see that I was off base in my statements about what you’ve said on that matter in this forum. There ARE some folks on here who regularly seek to insinuate that the Capitol storming was no big deal, or who seek to otherwise minimize or dismiss it. FireChans just did it a few posts ago in this very thread, for instance. I wrongly lumped you in with them. I apologize. It was an inaccurate and poorly researched characterization on my part. I am sorry. As to the Rite-Aid smashing:I do think there is some merit to the idea that “rioting is the language of the oppressed”, and that there are instances where it is defensible. Not all instances, admittedly. I certainly don’t condone the destruction of locally owned businesses, in any case. While I myself have not ever participated in property destruction as a form of protest, I also recognize that I do not belong to a historically oppressed parcel of society. I recognize also that, in the heat of the moment and in an act of crying out at repeated injustice when no other act seems to make their voices heard, people could find themselves engaged in such activities. I accept, though, that we will have to agree to disagree about the appropriateness of property destruction as a means of protest, and I don’t mean to hijack this thread in that direction.
  22. @B-Man Has posted quite a few things downplaying it, while simultaneously frequently expressing his outrage at "liberal protests". He's not the only one. side note: I can't believe Pelosi actually said this *****. 🙄
  23. I don't know who needs to hear this, but it's not normal for police to commit extra-judicial murder. The fact that extra-judicial murder by police officers is so normalized is scarier than the fact that people sometimes destroy property in order to protest it. I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you normalize, defend, and minimize the storming of our capitol and murdering of capitol police by right wing mobs in a seditionist effort to overthrow a free and fair election, but get angry and upset about Rite Aid's windows being smashed, you're a monstrous hypocrite.
