Critical must lose game next Sunday
Boatdrinks replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, most of what is discussed on this board is not provable. This player should have been picked , that player wouldn’t have been good in Buffalo etc. We do know that good players are found throughout the draft by many teams. Save for a franchise QB that the Bills probably won’t be picking next year , the concern shouldn’t be so much about a slot or two of draft position. It should be on those doing the drafting. Lots of teams flounder even with years of high picks. This forum is far from a scientific exercise. -

Nice TD. Glad he caught it because 31 held him around the waist but of course no call. It’s absolutely mind boggling how reluctant officials are to call penalties against that team that areright in front of their face. -

Chung should have been called for PI. It’s amazing but the team that takes the most liberties with PI, pick plays etc is the least penalized in the league according to Al Michaels. -

I predict the difference between top 5 and top ten pick in 2019 will not make a significant difference in the Bills overall future success.- 87 replies

I don’t know if there is a discernible difference in bust percentage between say pick 5 and pick 10. Even at QB. Good players can be found at most positions throughout the draft. Anything past the first 3 or 4 rounds becomes a crapshoot to a degree. Thinking the Bills future hinges on a few slots of draft position is far fetched. It has a lot more to do with the competence of those doing the drafting. That’s what many fans are afraid of.

Nah, a loss is not a loss... Losing the way the Bills are isn’t exactly what they wanted, far from it. It’s the type of thing that shows no competence, gives no hope for the future. Instead of plugging one or two or even three holes, the vast majority of the offense needs to be replaced. Right up to the OC. These coaches do think about their reputations and their jobs, you know. This is the kind of thing that gets people fired , calling friends and basically scrapping for some assistant position to stay in the league. A team on the cusp that just can’t finish is a much easier fix than an all time disaster schitt show like we are witnessing. This team is miles away, even if Josh Allen is decent.

When $90M isn't really $90M...

I’m not optimistic about their prospects in FA. Their drafting of offensive talent appears suspect as well. When the postscript is written on Beane /McD it will show they really boxed themselves in with their slash and burn methodology. Too big a hole to dig out of. -
Watching Rams -Saints is pretty crazy...Bills might be competitive in this league in another ten years or so
