Look at recent comps for real world value, not someone’s chart. There are many charts out there and they’re simply a guideline or starting point. Markets also change , they’re not static. Go into a real estate deal and say “ the chart says it should cost X” and see where it gets you.

Charts are all well and good as a guideline, but it’s not the real world. No way you’re getting in the top ten from 22 without giving up a lot more than what the Bills gave for Diggs. They also have a 3rd year QB and can’t wait solely on a 1st round wideout to develop. It’s a good trade, and a fair one. They certainly didn’t steal Diggs, but the fact that Hopkins isn’t calling a new AFC team his home speaks volumes here.

Definitely not surprised. Great player and it’s too bad, but his story should be heeded by all players. A cautionary tale to any who try to make a 1970’s style tackle.

This puts it in perspective. A move up for a Jeudy or Lamb would have cost a lot more. I’ll take a proven WR for that price with my 3rd year QB. Think NO other AFC team would pay more than AZ did for Hopkins ? Not likely.

Yep. No one would think twice if O’Brien didn’t make an awful deal earlier in the day. A deal that wasn’t happening with an AFC team anywhere near contention. Plenty of teams would give a 1 for Hopkins, that was an NFC specific deal and they had to settle for less.

Nah, it’s just the legal tampering period right now. Not actual free agency. Bills leaks have been few and far between since Beane took over.

I agree with Bove to a point t. It’s fine to be in a good position financially, but they’re now at a point where they have to improve the team in a big way. Championship must be the goal !

They’ll wait out the crazy deals. Maybe a trade in the works? I can see them waiting for the dust to settle, Beane has $$ but wants value

Yep, and just played them in a very close playoff game that may have ended differently if the Bills had Hopkins.

I generally like this guy’s takes when he’s a guest on WGR. Very interesting and enlightening guy, but his tweet here is way off base imo. To the contrary , it’s just what fans need and what the league should be doing.

It would be up there no doubt. I’d like to see them show some concern over their inability to score points by actually getting better at it, though. Not just constantly tinkering with the defense.

That will never change imo. Teams have done this forever, so I see nothing that will affect this price gouging policy from continuing.

New York ( among some other states) will be a veritable wasteland when Cuomo is finished with it. I noticed he teamed up with other lib Govs to make sure people couldn’t go to a nearby state to get a meal, drink etc.

Not much, but there’s business to be done. Life must go on. I think this is a sensible compromise. You don’t need a live audience for the draft.

Don’t have to close businesses to deal with that issue if it arises. There are other buildings that could be utilized etc. totally different topic though. The Economy is going to be destroyed.

Closing everything under the sun. Many businesses will not survive due to their overreach. Unemployment will skyrocket , which is right in their wheelhouse.
