  1. Who is the leading candidate for MVP right now? Josh Allen. Enough said.
  2. Through the entire off-season I said the most important factor this season was Brady and how he schemed the offense. Thus far he is doing extremely well. Those who keep harping on the idea that the WR group is subpar are doing so because they are grasping at straws to find something negative. Why they feel the need to be negative only they can explain. When you have a philosophy that everybody eats, you won’t have a guy put up huge numbers. Brady’s offense is predicated on having everyone eat, and by balancing run and pass. And it’s working. It’s working because the O line has been dominant, because Josh is in fact going to the right guy at the right time, and because in this offense it is not just WRs that catch but TEs and RBs. Look how many guys scored last week. For those now moaning that we’ll have to see what happens when they take X away, or play a better team, blah, blah, my response is this: let them be scared of us, not the other way around.
  3. Someone asked me today what I thought about the Bills start, and that is the word that came to mind. Solid. The entire team is just solid. Josh is solid, although his level of solid is above that of mortal man. The O line is solid in the rush game and pass protection. The D line the same in run defense and pass rush. We lose two starting LBs and the replacements are playing solid football. All the WRs and TEs are playing solid ball, making the catches they should make, eagerly participating in blocking for the run game. The DBs are all really solid, especially the CBs. And who would have thought guys like Hamlin and Lewis and Ingram would be playing as well as they have? Cook to me is the one guy who has gone above and beyond (and Josh as well, although to me he's just playing at his normal incredible way). Coaching is solid too. Brady is calling stuff that allows the guys on his offense to make plays. Babich is using his players to maximum effect. And McD is overseeing all and showing confidence in his team like going for it aon4th and 3 on the first drive. Solid team. Solid coaching. solid performances. Solid victories. This is the kind of effort if maintained can take the Bills a long way.
  4. I said a number of times success this year would depend on Brady. So far so good.
  5. That's how you learn
  6. Ok boys, let’s matriculate the ball down the field!
  7. We do not know the extent of brain injury, do we?
  8. I think you’re on to something here.
  9. Diggs has the job he should have at this point in his career, he's the 2nd or 3rd option. When guys get into their 30s and start slowing down that's what should happen. If his ego had allowed him to accept that in Buffalo he'd still be here.
  10. This would be a question more for the lawyers out there. but given the number and apparent intensity of the concussions Tua has had, is he legally competent to make a decision about whether to keep playing?
  11. I get that. And I’m sure Brady hits that in film review.
  12. Spector and Williams can hold down the fort. And Little Joe might get to show his stuff.
  13. I realize people are going to complain all year about this because they will refuse to accept what Brady will be doing with the offense. He is going to run the ball more, he is going to use a lot of different receivers, and Josh will go to the open guy. And the open guy will vary within games and from game to game based on the defense. We saw this last year when the offense started to click and when Diggs got less touches. We’ve seen it the first two games. And it’s working. So complain if you want. I like having two victories with over 30 points per game. But that’s just me.
  14. Let me clarify: football for Tua. Not football overall.
  15. Love how the boys are playing but hate to see what happened with Tua. There needs to be serious discussion about whether football should be continued.
  16. Ok boys, let’s matriculate the ball down the field!
  17. Duby just misses my top 5
  18. While the contract he got was nuts, I don’t think anyone could have predicted his abilities would decline so dramatically so quickly.
  19. My top 5 Bills receivers of all time (and I’ve seen them all): 1. Andre Reed 2. Jerry Butler 3. Stephon Diggs 4. Eric Moulds 5. Bobby Chandler I picked guys who spent a good amount of time in a Bills uni. Duby just misses out on this list. Guys like Owen’s, Lofton or Rashad could be on here for career performance but to me weren’t here long enough for my list. To me Andre has to be #1. To me he basically invented the slot WR position.
  20. Yes. That means I graded them higher.
  21. He was speeding apparently. He got pulled over and from what I can tell did not obey lawful orders. Why should he be treated differently than anyone else?
  22. Knox on offense. The Fish will focus on Kincaid, we'll run a lot of 12 formation, Knox gets 2 TDs. Groot on D. He gets several sacks and constant pressure on Tua.
  23. I think Alpha is a bit over the top with his grades. I give the WRs a solid B+ because they were getting open, and their blocking was very good. I'd give the RBs and TEs each a B. TE maybe B-, but clearly the Cards decided to take away Kincaid. And I think our friend Kirby Jackson is really suffering from a severe case of confirmation bias with respect to the WRs. I fear Kirby decided going into the season that the WRs would suck, and that nothing will change his mind. Like it or not, and clearly Kirby doesn't, the ball will get spread around a lot in Brady's offense, just as happened Sunday. Total yardage was lower primarily because of the defense not performing well in the first half thus taking away a lot of time from the offense.
