The Big Gamble: Hydroxychloroquine
oldmanfan replied to Magox's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Did I say anything about the media? No. Any time anyone takes a drug they should do so after consultation with a physician. Don't twist my words into some kind of negative. -
The Big Gamble: Hydroxychloroquine

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/1756-185X.13842 A meta-analysis of current data indicates no data on prophylactic effect of the drug on Covid. Some interesting pre-clinical data but studies on prophylactic effect including side effects and such need to be done. They have one going on in the Detroit area from what I've read. Be interesting to see that data. People should talk to their doctor, weight benefits and risks, and make informed decisions. Doctors can prescribe off-label if they want. The benefits to those with a Covid diagnosis are not there based on the available data, and the risks of cardiac effects are real. -
One of the good ones. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Stop with the agenda stuff, please, and let's discuss rationally. This virus can be carried by those asymptomatic and is transmitted by droplets. The idea behind wearing masks is to help the wearer from spreading droplets. The masks do not completely prevent, they help. Distancing does not completely prevent, it helps. And so on. These policies have helped hold things down, they don't prevent. They help while we get to a vaccine and more effective treatments. I would agree wit h a liability waiver And if I were a company I'd go with the recommended precautions.

You all have fun. I come over on this side of the board every so often just to see how the weird kids over In the corner of the playground are behaving, and sometimes I can’t resist jumping in. I’ll be returning to the sanity of real life now.

No man is above the law. Bedrock principle of our country. To argue that is inane. Innocent until proven guilty. Another bedrock principal. The prosecutors look at the evidence, they think it’s enough to charge they charge. Prosecutors have to make their case and prove your guilt. You as defendant make your case. Doesn’t matter who it is president or not, Trump, Obama, George Washington, could care less which President. Presidents cannot escape being accountable to the law. And prosecutors must make their case. You hold a president above the law they’re called kings. Or dictators.

Your statement changes nothing. No man is above the law. Including our leaders. If he is innocent then fine. If he's guilty fine.

No one is the country is above the law. Should be simple. If his records show nothing then he's got nothing to worry about.

Dan Fouts is out at CBS; replaced by Charles Davis

I’ve always like Fouts. I think people go way overboard in their critiques of all these guys.
