  1. Where is our pregame thread?
  2. The talent and skill of the Bills medical staff, the medical personnel with the Bengals at their stadium, and those at the UC Medical Center should be applauded.
  3. If he has recognition of family and such it would suggest his brain function may be oK.
  4. Neurologically intact is just tremendous news
  5. I suspect MArlow starts alongside Poyer on Sunday. It makes sense to bring in a backup S because you have multiple guys that can play the corner.
  6. You have encapsulated my feelings perfectly. I grew up across the Boulevard in the Town of Tonawanda. Went to the first ever game in 1960 as a 4 year old and been a fan ever since, even though my career took me away in 1983. I am encouraged by some of the news today about Damar. And what I hope is that the Bills come out on the field Sunday in honor of Damar to the cheers of 60 some thousand supportive fans.
  7. Guys, I teach anatomy and physiology. Just saw a report indicating he’s lying in a prone position. You do that when oxygenation is impaired; It was one of the advances made in treating Covid patients. Lung damage does not have to be a physical assault like from compressions. When the heart isn’t functioning properly then pressure backs up into the lungs and you get pulmonary edema. It’s harder to oxygenate through the lungs with edema. Hence the requirement for higher oxygen. I’m glad to hear they’re reducing the % O2. just heard a cardiologist say this will be a marathon and not a sprint. The next few days will be crucial; once they try and take him off the respirator they’ll find out if he can breathe on his own, and if so start assessing neurological and organ damage.
  8. When the heart isn’t functioning properly it can lead to pulmonary edema.
  9. My only concern right now is Damar. If we get some favorable news this week, I can see the team using that as a positive motivator. If they get negative news I think it could destroy the team for this season, and justifiably so.
  10. Please share my thoughts with your board. I’ve followed the Bills since opening day 1960. In that time I’ve never seen another team and it’s fans show anywhere near the compassion shown by the Bengals and their fans as has been shown since last night. Sincere thanks to you all.
  11. Never had to deal with this particular decision with 2 daughters. If my kid had a passion for the game I’d let him play but would make sure he had coaches that taught him correctly. I tend to be fatalistic about things in general.
  12. There is no perfect solution. What matters right now is to see if the Bills players are in any frame of mind to play Sunday. If God forbid Damar doesn’t make it then how do you make them play?
  13. Let’s all quit speculating. Keep Damar front and center in our thoughts right now.
  14. They sedate you to put a breathing tube in so you don’t fight the procedure. The sedation also lessens the workload on the brain. The critical thing will be if he regains spontaneous respiration’s when they remove the tube.
  15. They all did the best they could under enormously difficult circumstances. Let’s cut them some slack here and keep focused on Damar.
  16. Not enough info to know anything solid yet.
  17. Yes. He arrested on the field. Reports are that he now has a pulse but is intubated. This is not good.
  18. I teach anatomy and physiology. I’m really worried about a brain stem injury.
  19. Unless he’s gone, as sad as that is to think. And I pray that’s not the case.
  20. The league needs to step in and call this game. None of the players can be expected to go out there and play.
  21. Who the hell cares they were down at the half? They dominated the second half and won convincingly last week. You could care less about the Bills other than giving you an audience to grab attention with your ridiculous threads.
