All in all, it’s really not a bad start for Josh Allen. I haven’t seen that “deer in thr headlights” look that you see from many 1st year QBs. And ive seen improvements from him as the game has gone on, which is all you can ask of such an inexperience QB with zero weapons and a crappy o line. Allen has actually done better than I expected him to do under these circumstances. I am am just so glad that he doesn’t look like he’s drowning, which is a legitimate fear of mine with this offense around him.

People need to stop with this Mahomes stuff. How can you even possibly compare the situation he’s in to the one Allen is in? Mahomes has the best offensive weapons in the NFL to surround him. He has a very good veteran team around him. Very good O line. He’s in his 2nd year in the NFL. Andy Reid has his system/program very well established at this point. Allen has none of this things. The situations are just not comparable.

How is that not a touchback? I thought the guy who first touched the ball stepped in the end zone. Maybe I am misunderstanding or missing something here?

I’m 50/50 on this challenge. At at first I thought it was a bad challenge. But that last replay they showed before commercial, it did look like the ball started to come out befor his elbow hit the ground.

They’ve been picking on him all day, and they will continue to do so until he shows he can defend it.

I’ve been impressed with how he’s handled himself today. The game definitely doesn’t look too big for him, and he doesn’t look flustered which is impressive with all the pressure he’s faced today.

At quick glance, I feel like Holmes could have/should have made that catch. Not that it matters

Sometimes it just takes some time for things to gel. We we got some young guys in keep positions on the defense, too. You can tell they are still learning what their responsibility is on a given play.

Man, Somebody must have said something to these players during half time, and out a charge up their arse. They are playing MUCH better to start this second half. I just hope it continues... (knocks on wood...).

Just about every rookie QBs that’s ever stepped onto the field needs a lot of work reading the defense. That’s why, IMO, it’s important to get Josh the experience.
