  1. When we drafted Bernard in the third 95% of his board said he's overdrafted His play as a rookie when he got on the field left a lot to be desired... He didn't look good when he saw the field So much so that in the off-season again 95% of this board did not feel comfortable with him as the starting middle linebacker... People thought that was our biggest question mark He did not look anything like a pro bowl linebacker in his snaps as a rookie... But that's because players get better with Repetition thank God.. as a back-up line backer even in practice you're doing scout teamwork mimicking the opposing teams defense , not perfecting your own But hindsight is 20/20 ... But 95% of this board was not comfortable with Bernard out the gate... The coaching staff was , this board was second guessing it... But it's because the coaching staff knows how to plug players into their system and get the most out of them.. Dodson looked good here... Our system is very linebacker friendly And Edmunds did go man to man over 30% of the time in his career here.. he would man up on running backs and occasional slot receivers when we disguised coverage I would much rather have Terrell Bernard , because his IQ is so high .. but Tremaine and Milano definitely played man coverage around 35%.. Milano would normally man up on tight ends , Tremaine would man up on running backs and occasional slot wide receivers in a bracket coverage... So he would only follow them if they cross face
  2. We didn't even retain our pro bowl middle linebacker... Who we drafted 15th overall Yet we re sign Ed Oliver... We are going to resign Greg... Signed von Miller 100 million contract... Even drafted guys like boogie in the second The bills were top five in sacks last year and are pushing top 10 this year.. a defensive line of Greg Rousseau and Oliver and AJ and von is not average.. even if it doesn't seem like they're taking over games every week ... NFL games are won in the trenches and we're 8-2 There's not 10 defensive lines better than ours McDermott has been here 8 years... Two safeties drafted.. one was the sixth round In his eight drafts he has two corners in the top three rounds .. including a trade so we'll say three But six defensive lineman in the top three And three linebackers in the top three Sean McDermott is a secondary guru who thinks he can get more with less at those spots Nobody in the world thought poyer or Hyde were all pros at their old teams... What Sean McDermott did was identify what they were good at and solely put them in good positions to succeed.. like he does with all of our secondary players.. that's why undrafted guys like Levi Wallace could start here for years and look good in the system But Levi Wallace can't play at that level around the league for other teams.. McDermott puts him in the best spot week in and week out McDermott values defensive line , linebacker , corner , safety We could plug in castaways from other teams or sixth round picks like Benford or dame Jackson and they play great because of McDermott scheme... Defensive line are either pushing people around or getting pushed around.. you can't mask that And our NFL best point differential over the last few years shows we win in the trenches
  3. McDermott's scheme wouldn't work as well if we didn't have the front seven , especially our eight-man defensive line rotation Even the best corners and safeties in the world can't cover for 5 seconds if your defense can't create pressure.. multiple D lineman in the first round multiple in the second Carter in the third.. signed von Miller to 100 million dollars and let Edmunds walk The d line is way more important to McDermott and he will scheme everything around that... If Anything our nickel corner taron Johnson makes the defense go... He provides so much and run and pass support he is invaluable Our two all pros at safety were free agents that their other teams didn't even want to re sign.. besides Bishop in the second round we haven't put a lot of early resources into safety ...
  4. Spagnola is not some super defensive genius He's had plenty of defenses that struggle.. he has great pieces all over his defense.. when they didn't have those pieces they're not that electric He's literally no different than Leslie Frazier... They run different schemes but they're success is basically the same.. when they have talent their defense is good when they don't have the talent they can struggle In fact when I went to Kansas City for the bills chief game couple years ago.. this just shows you how every fan base is alike Nobody and I mean nobody over there liked spagnola.. every single person said I wish we could trade Leslie Frazier for him Now fan appeal doesn't mean much... But the point stands that their own fans did not like him.. they didn't like the defense he ran and they didn't like his play calling Yet this board, think we don't beat the Chiefs because they have guys like spagnola , yet he's not belichick or parcells He has Chris Jones who is a Hall of Fame game wrecker that most teams can't block , with other good defensive lineman and linebackers and players Spagnola was literally one of the most inept head coaches of all time, he has a great team and a great organization.. he's not that special
  5. I forgot that post deadline vested veterans are also required Basically to stop them from forcing their release and just signing with a playoff team
  6. Ah yes post trade deadline they all have too Your right
  7. The line, the backs and Josh don't do a good job selling the screen game The offensive line and the backs need to sell it better and so does Josh There's a little more room for those outside jailbreak screens and shakir works really good in tight space .. teams also contain the edge against Josh which could also make it more difficult What they could implement is more of a old school middle screen
  8. Kaisertown is absolutely Buffalo Nobody there considers it cheektowaga.. it's always been considered Buffalo proper, like Lovejoy And LoveJoy's even closer to cheektowaga
  9. Lovejoy definitely Eastside neighborhood Ktown while TECHNICALLY North of the River as you said , I don't think it really aligns itself with the East side anymore It's really only a couple minutes from Seneca Street South Buffalo It is definitely its own neighborhood but it definitely feels a lot closer to South Buffalo than the east side in regard of the feel of the neighborhood now Technically you're right it would be like lower East side or something
  10. Because it's more of a bar food... There's literally a hundred places you can get good wings at from cheektowaga or depew or South Buffalo or Kaiser town etc I can go to wiechecs or a hole in the wall like the Clinton lounge and get great chicken wings at the end of the day Wiechecs is a really good restaurant though that makes a lot of good food
  11. I definitely wouldn't say it's a hidden gem it's one of the most popular spots in K town Can't even get a fish fry there during Lent
  12. Ebenezer ale House in West Seneca has the brew and the wings And not too far from where you would be
  13. I also got picked up at the thruway mall transit center cheektowaga not downtown But it was very handy
  14. The busses have their own exit I took the bus to the Bills dolphins playoff game and we got a police escort to the stadium and we we got to skirt all the game day cars with a back door exit
  15. Lmaoooo I could just imagine these teenagers chirping you lol telling you that they banged your mother 😯😯
  16. Oooh yeah no never have I bet it's crazy
  17. What the hell is meta quest
  18. I've been all over but I've actually never been to Montreal I do speak French and I'm sure it's a beautiful city
  19. Yes... If you have a good amount of money saved and that's not an issue... Italy could be perfect for you The pace of life and the people are wonderful... The culture and cuisine is exquisite and their are sooo many beautiful small towns ... Some of the best restaurants you'll ever find are tiny family hole in the walls in a tiny town Employment is definitely the biggie , even for Italians... Parlez vous Francais? Because Montreal is French Canadian right
  20. My brother lives in Italy RN and it's not easy to make a professional career except in healthcare.. and it's still not like healthcare career in America It's not as easy to make really good money in Italy , so lots of expats save their money first ... Get enough to buy a house.. then fully move in because it makes money and life easier It will take time to adjust.. because America is full of 24-hour convenience stores... They really don't have that in Italy... also not a lot of diversity in Italy compared to America , so you are definitely going to be expected to adapt to local culture Slower pace of life
  21. Hopkins played last week with them and and 29 yards... So one good game and one game with nothing The same as Cooper
  22. Eh there's a lot of really good Bills players who are not on the wall If they help deliver a super bowl sure... They didn't even get us there... They are wall of very good
  23. Achilles injuries for a corner with a lot of miles is tough to come back from I love tre day but man that's all hard injury for a corner.. he was never the fastest... Although he was one of the quickest players... His closing speed was elite That burst is all but probably gone
  24. Well yeah prime DeAndre Hopkins was an absolute stud Age is a mofo in the NFL and 32 is a lot older than 30 The draft compensation shows what people thought their value was
  25. I mean he looked pretty good in his first game got dinged up in the second... And he didn't play yesterday So we got one game of amari and he got dinged up.. I don't think you could judge it from that let's see what he looks like in 5 weeks
