  1. He was massively underrated here though People called him a bum consistently throughout his career but I always was clamoring that Gilmore was a All-Pro on a bad team One great corner doesn't make or break a team but he wasn't the reason we were bad.. I certainly did think he was a top corner even with the bills who got a bad rep Like I'm not putting a rank on him one through five but he was a stud here.. he played with a club.. people used to question his toughness and he played with a broken hand lol
  2. He has a long road to crack the starting center job anyways 15 years ago when the bills were awful sure we can draft a fifth round pick or a six-round pick and we had to play him because we were bad... He's probably third at the center cracking order rn behind McGovern and I think Alec Anderson gets a crack there first of McGovern isn't re-signed He doesn't have the length to be a guard.. svgp Alec Anderson who is the most valuable sixth offensive lineman in the NFL last year is the guy getting groomed everywhere.. he has played center guard and tackle And certainly is going to be given a shot at center if we don't re sign McGovern That's my prediction
  3. They have a great fan base When I went down there it was the only place that reminded me of a buffalo tailgate Friendly people, they offered food and drinks... They were passionate but friendly I really don't have anything bad to say about the people of KC
  4. Alex Van pelt looked like your typical Buffalo pizza delivery guy
  5. I'm not a tourist and I been going to bar bill a long time! Duffs is where Tourist's go for decades lol bar bill has only exploded in popularity semi recently
  6. Places like Lucias on the lake and giancarlos are pretty expensive... Might need a reservation too I put Lucias in the seafood, but they also have a mean tomahawk and overall great food Ebenezer ale House for some food and drinks and great wings too! West Seneca Brightsmith brewery in williamsville awesome place for food and drinks So many great places
  7. Yeah I know I did spread him out lol but the Buffalo region is pretty condensed From my house I can probably hit all of those spots at the closest in 3 to 5 minutes.. the furthest drive for me would probably be hoaks or jays artisan.. and I can still probably get there in 20 minutes So if you're traveling in the area these are probably all accessible within 10 to 20 minutes Jays artisan was named top the 8th best pizzeria in the country
  8. I hear you and I think he's super super talented He has a great build, and I like a shorter running back
  9. I see way more Buffalo Bills gear in Buffalo then there were people wearing Cleveland browns gear in Cleveland Sure Buffalo is a smaller City but it's definitely like Alabama for its craziness with football .. it is like an SEC town with sports People say goodbye in Buffalo by saying go bills.. like when you're walking down the street you don't say have a good day you say go bills that's pretty omnipresent But I do get your point we are a small city
  10. I think he's a stud I don't think he's in the Barkley , Henry , territory 30 carries a hundred yards against Penn State kind of dropped his stock slightly in my eyes .. like I don't think he's a guaranteed 10,000 yard rusher in the NFL And if you're taking a kid top ten you're definitely looking for years of production which is always scary with running backs

  13. I appreciate the banter , God bless
  14. Dude phone speakers don't pick up everything .. it ain't the first time on this site.. it doesn't pick up there their they're and stuff which I actually just typed out.. it doesn't pick up lots of stuff especially when you talk like a fast New Yorker They do get paid And they weren't allowed to play ncaa because they got paid.. some of these kids were getting $20,000 10 years ago That's not even the back door paying stars get I'm not calling them professionals.. they are 16 to 20-year-old kids.. the way they are trained away from home during the time period is definitely professional.. and they did receive pay, more back in the day than now but still paid That's why they were not allowed to play NCAA hockey for the last 30 years
  15. I speak into my phone so it doesn't always pick up my words correctly.. it was supposed to be $5,000 which if you look I actually changed it I didn't actually realize it's at $50,000 till this morning but qmjhl... Which the players were suing in the last 3 to 5 years Over agers .. 20-year-olds.. we're getting $20,000 before 2014... $550 a week Now over agers get 4-7k That's still money to play hockey with all expenses paid.. and you also get four or five years in juniors You can still make 10,000 plus dollars playing major junior hockey in your career... Which most kids are paying $30k to play junior A or B over the same 5-year period Paying $30,000 to play hockey.. versus actually making some money while having all expenses paid The kids should be making more actually compared to what the owners are making... The players are well well well below minimum wage
  16. They are allowed to play amateur hockey now.. after nil in America... The last 25 years they were deemed ineligible by the NCAA tho Any hockey player in this thread would back me up that for the last 25 years major junior hockey players were not allowed to play in the NCAA because they deemed them professionals getting paid ... You could call it a salary or a stipend The brand new Nils have just put a little bit of a loophole into it... But from 1999 to 2024 if you played in Major Junior hockey in Canada.. the three leagues I listed You were not eligible to play NCAA hockey because the NCAA deemed you a professional Connor McDavid who played for the Erie otters of the OHL was not legally allowed to go and play NCAA hockey because the NCAA deemed him a professional at 17... You are right they're not technically getting a salary they get stipends and allowances with cash But they can use that on anything And they get cash... Which is why the NCAA had them ineligible for the last 30 years before the nil happened NIL basically opened up the possibility of major Junior players keeping their eligibility to play in the NCAA which used to be automatically stripped
  17. For the last 25 years major junior hockey players in Canada.. aka the OHL, qmjhl, and whl we're all not allowed to play in NCAA hockey Because they were considered professionals getting paid by ncaa Connor McDavid could not go from the Erie otters to Minnesota Golden gophers because he was getting paid and was considered a professional by ncaa It is technically a stipend but that's for legal purposes.. and the kids do get cash which they can spend on anything They used to get a lot more money 10 years ago than they do now
  18. Tennessee also has a very friendly offense to run Josh Allen was playing under center running for his life at Wyoming... Tennessee is also a very good wide receiver School consistently getting wide receivers drafted and put in as undrafted free agents.. Nico I, who is Tennessee's current starting quarterback and a true sophomore.. basically had the same stat line as Milton as a 6th year senior You would expect more than 20tds out of a 6th year senior who had NFL aspirations
  19. I'm not under selling Gretzky's greatness He was always in a class of his own But I'm saying that there were other high point scores in his time frame all the time Sure Gretzky went for 200.. but there were lots of guys going for a 120 130-140 in his period There's not a lot of guys going for 120 today besides Connor
  20. Every single team has placeholders at some positions No team has 22 long-term starters at every single spot.. the way the NFL works with the salary cap you just can't do that Even the best teams will have a few weak links.. there's always a few placeholders playing The difference is if you have the 110th ranked placeholder playing or the 50th ranked placeholder... Levi Wallace's second year here where he played 75% of the snaps.. most of his advanced metrics were all in the top 40 to 60 for an NFL corner So not great.. but every single team plays three corners a lot.. 32 * 3 is 96.. he was squarely in the top two thirds at his best in McDermott's scheme We shouldn't have paid him and we didn't but we also did get good value out of an undrafted placeholder that's true too There's always going to be a couple of placeholders on your team.. it's about having the one that fits your scheme plays hard and is not a massive liability Levi Wallace was 10th in the NFL in yards per route allowed in 19.. 49th in breakups , 38th average Target separation, 44th routes defended, 49th yards allowed Again if you're talking about a top 15 corner not great stats.. for a platoon corner ... it was steady.. especially when there was 130 cornerbacks with enough snaps to be graded and he was typically 35-60 ranked Again I'm not saying I want Levi Wallace I'm saying Sean McDermott did get the most out of him
  21. It's not about if he's a good starter or not lol first of all three quarters of your team is depth players And I'm not even talking about current Dane Jackson.. I'm saying the development of him as a 7th round pick was successful and he beat the average NFL career As a 7th round pick he certainly is considered a good pick considering the average length of an NFL career is like 3 years.. there are worse role players in the NFL Same with Levi Wallace that is great development of an undrafted free agent it doesn't matter if he's a really good right now The bills developed and got quality play out of him and he also played for another NFL team and started some games.. the bills 10 years ago used to cut guys and that was the end of the road... Levi Wallace is certainly a success story at the NFL level and McDermott does get credit for developing him
  22. We took Dane Jackson and like the 7th round and he's had multiple contracts from multiple NFL teams McDermott develops guys at a very high rate if you don't develop it's probably something on you
  23. Confidence is one of the biggest things at corner... He started getting out played instantly by a sixth round pick in Benford Couldn't adjust to the on the fly coverages that McDermott asks of and he never got the confidence to play with his abilities Basically probably shot
  24. We typically do especially at the secondary
  25. Never really watch him play so I can't give honest opinion The Georgia tech point guard!! Wow Tyler Ennis like
