  1. It's like what we did with poyer and hyde.. poyer was a browns castaway.. considered not good enough for a bad team Hyde was a good football player, considered a role player... McDermott took both and develop them into all pros.. the best of the best Baun is similarly of the same thing... But the rest of the league thought he was a one-year stop Gap player... The eagles get credit for putting him in the right position to turn him into a player That's player development... But in September if you said Baun or Nick bolton.. nobody here would say baun is the guy they'd rather have
  2. Eagles have guys like Zack Baun starting at linebacker Wasn't even a full-time starting linebacker for 4 years in New Orleans... Signed on a one-year 3 million dollar contract.. before this season nobody would have thought Zack Baun could be the starting linebacker on a super bowl team Drue tranquill Nick Bolton was definitely considered stronger than nakobe dean and Zack Baun 5 months ago Tranquil has a 20 million deal... The eagles had players who stepped up.. nobody thought Zach Baun was all pro level for years.. he outplayed his contract They're not trotting out Ray Lewis.. they trotted out Zach Baun and nakobe dean
  3. At the end of the day it's the scouts.. but it's the scouts that also found Christian Benford and Matt Milano bernard .. found Dane Jackson in the 7th round.. Levi Wallace undrafted Maybe the coaches are telling the scouts what they're looking for.. and it's not translating.. maybe they need to have them look for different types of players at the defensive line
  4. Better than me too that's the point lol people think if you're not a all pro you must sucks Do the eagles have a better roster , yes... Is it unbeatable? No lol if the Chiefs didn't play flat the narrative would be Reid the genius Now it's unstoppable eagles lol but they aren't unstoppable... They played better today
  5. This is where you clearly don't have the mind of a coach lol I'm just going to use an example... The worst running back in the NFL is closer to Barry Sanders then you are to him The worst linebacker in the NFL is closer to Ray Lewis then you are to that worst linebacker The talent gap between a 15 and 2 NFL team and a 14-3 NFL team is minute.. no matter what the names say on the back The talent gap between the fourth best outside linebacker and the 12th best outside linebacker is not far... The talent gap between the number one running back and the number 15 running back isn't even as big as you'd think on a one game scale A running back of Barkley talent doesn't even move a spread 3 1/2 points at the NFL level... You could win a super bowl with Danny woodhead and James White
  6. It's funny because people act like this is a massive talent disparity This is the NFL .. the talent Gap from the worst team to the best team is closer than people imagine... It's not far ... It's literally the top 1% of football players in the world People act like this is Alabama playing Chattanooga State... It comes down to execution The Tampa Bay buccaneers whooped Philadelphia early in the season the NFL comes down to who's playing the best football today
  7. Well no suck is relative Greg R, Tremaine , Ed Oliver , Kincaid not bad football players.. literally every other team in the league would employ them Like they're not busts.. Tremaine and Greg and Ed are actual starting caliber players.. Edmunds has 106 games played in his career and 106 starts .. 32 for 32 with the bears... Greg is starting on a lot of NFL teams The difference is they didn't develop into more than what they are.. you take a guy top 32 you want great not good But we have enough talent to win.. that's not a question But that also doesn't mean beane can't draft a little bit better in the top two rounds.. both can be true statements FYI the bills would be putting up a much better fight right now than the Chiefs
  8. Not really Plenty of teams overachieved in history ... You don't need 7 all pros to win a super bowl The Patriots against the greatest show on turf... People act like we're losing by 21 in the playoffs We are right there even with our current roster.. that's realistically not the difference Because we could have beat the Chiefs two weeks ago.. it's not even a question we just didn't play our best game Still think we're a better overall team.. the Buffalo Bills didn't execute when it mattered But having three more very good players would obviously help You're only as good as your weakest link and the bills develop talent as good as any team in the world.. we habitually take 5th round picks and six round picks and make them good NFL players Just drafting good players in the top 50.. and never drafting a great ones... Makes it tough on your cap.. because you could win with a lot of good.. you can't pay a lot of good players what you pay great players
  9. Beane is better than every Gm in rounds 5 6 7 He's pretty good in the mid rounds He has struggled to draft true difference makers in the top 2 ... Good football players.. not great
  10. People keep bringing up Alex Smith like he's a bum lol he was the first overall pick Played on not good San Francisco teams the first four years of his career.. very little receiving talent.. didn't even have a lot of receiving talent first couple years in Kansas City Like Sam darnold had a career resurgence this year.. and Alex Smith is 20 times the quarterback... People act like he's JP losman Patrick mahomes sitting behind that man is part of the reason he's so good lol sitting behind an established vet and learning is gold It always has been always will be.. but if he was such a bum he would have been forced to play Kermit the frog... Somebody who's been anointed baby goat Alex Smith kept him off the field for a year Andy Reid is getting circles coached around his entire staff right now
  11. No idea but his season is done
  12. I mean he's not a transcendent player But he's absolutely a good quarterback...Buffalo would have killed for a guy like Donovan McNabb Six-time pro bowler when it actually meant something.. McNabb led the NFL twice in total offense per game (2005, 2006), led the NFL in total touchdowns per game (2002), and in 2008 held the NFL record for lowest career interception percentage (2.09%, now surpassed). He is the Eagles' franchise leader in passing yards, passing touchdowns, attempts, and completions In 2004, became the first player in NFL history to finish a season with 30+ TD passes and fewer than 10 INTs He was top five in rushing yards for qbs eagles wall of fame.. eagles number retired... He was a good quarterback even if he didn't play his best in the postseason
  13. Andy Reid had more talented teams in Philadelphia then Bill did in cleveland Donovan McNabb was one of the best quarterbacks of the NFC in the 2000s.. easily good enough to win a super bowl.. those eagles teams were loaded.. but Reid and his team always came up short Even Alex Smith took longer to develop but he was a number one overall pick who was a good quarterback.. not transcendent but Buffalo still would have been killing for a guy like Alex Smith before Josh and after Jim Kelly lol Bill belichick also went to the playoffs with Mac Jones and won like 10 or 11 games with Matt Cassel He also stopped the bills no huddle offense in the super bowl.. and he stopped the greatest show on turf.. until Andy Reid gets six super bowls he's not better than Bill belichick He got fired from Philadelphia for always losing the big one Bill belichick also has a winning record against Andy Reid
  14. Or Josh Allen another all-time great player played a perfect game That was perfection
  15. I literally called my grandparents' Grandma and Grandpa That meemaw and pepaw stuff is so stupid imo if I'm being honest
  16. Bill belichick the footballs czar and Bill belichick the football coach are completely different animals Average GM with solid pro personnel decisions below average drafting World class coach and game planner
  17. BB is better than Andy Reid lol He won 11 games for Cleveland in 1994.. they didn't win 11 games for 26 more seasons He went to the playoffs with Mac Jones.. the dude is the best coach ever Even the best can't turn dog crap into pearls .. you need a little to work with
  18. Yea he's worth hundreds of millions of dollars of course he does He lives in Buffalo the majority of the year... His California house is basically on a golf resort.. one of his favorite off-season activities And of course California has better golf courses than Buffalo... So that's like R and R I'm pretty sure he has two properties in Buffalo and two in California
  19. Worthy is a phenomenal athlete but I've talked about him multiple times in the thread to how he is nothing like a DeSean Jackson He has a world class speed, but his routes have no nuance... He doesn't know how to change tempo to keep a defensive back off guard and his release needs work Even John Brown and worthy are nothing alike has receivers besides speed Why I liked Jackson and in the original post was because his savviness as a route runner and ability to set people up He could run a go route six different ways.. and a comeback off of it six different ways , and a post six different ways I'm looking for a savvy route runner who knows how to win with pace and craftiness and leverage downfield not just pure speed The speed has to come with the above.. if it's just blazing fast it's not going to do much long-term But you could run a 4.43 with the above traits and be exceptional
  20. If you watch this and didn't well up ... Your not human!
  21. Watch this video and then tell me you think Josh Allen is going to bolt Buffalo for California one day lol If anything Haley Steinfeld is one day moving to Buffalo
  22. There was a time in Madden in the early 2000s where Randy Moss and Terrell Owens were the only wide receivers rated better
