Not being able to run isn't a flaw as a quarterback... Because you can get it done inside or outside of the pocket A flaw is a hitch in your throwing motion... Or staring down your primary receiver... Or unable to find your check down... Or doesn't throw the ball away... Can't read a defense pre snap... Can't get to his third read... Feels phantom pressure etc Those are flaws that a quarterback can have that have nothing to do with physical attributes... And they're really hard to correct... Because if you throw the kid into the fire he will revert back to his Norm... But with the right coaching and circumstances can be corrected And I'm not saying Josh has a bunch of problems... Not at all... Someone said how we messed up Josh's rookie year And my only point was he would probably be even better today if we sat him for all 17 weeks... If he got an entire rookie year on the bench he would probably be the Josh we know and even better because he would have been able to knock out bad habits... Which you really can't do when you're thrown to the fire We went to the playoffs with tyrod Taylor and the worst wide receiver core I have ever seen Including an opportunistic defense that was built by McDermott Diggs and Allen weren't even here for that Again I don't think he's Bill belichick but he's also not a bottom 10 coach You want him gone and that's perfectly fine... We were also 7-6 before 13 seconds which people said was our best chance to win So we obviously righted the ship

Dude how does 31 other teams feel? I guess you're new to watching professional sports despite having 1976 in your username Because only one team is happy at the end of the year... So 31 out of 32 teams can b**** and moan about their players and coaches And we've been at the top of the league minus super bowls for the last five... Sean McDermott might not be Bill belichick but he certainly not average after transforming the bills franchise We went to the playoffs with the worst offensive unit I have ever seen in 50 years
-
So don't watch the Bills anymore Allen is one of the best players in the world, but it takes a team to win a super bowl And our team around him right now isn't playing like a super bowl team.. you want Mike malarkey as our head coach? People seriously must have forgot the drought years... McDermott is far from perfect but it's not always greener on the other side That's the only truth.. the grass is not always greener on the other side
-
Allen has had some of the same flaws for 6 years... They aren't magically now just coming out because of conservative coaching Daboll was super aggressive starting games with 15 plus throws... but some of Josh's flaws still would come out Because he never got to correct them fully.. you can't correct them in live game situations Because when chaos ensues you always break down to what you used to do... Josh is supremely talented.. but the same flaws he had five years ago still creep up And he still one of the best players in the world
-
I don't think I ever said it was Allens fault... He's literally one of the three best players in the world.. not even counting position He's a superstar But he could and probably would be better if he even sat his rookie year... It did nothing but good for Patrick mahomes Aaron Rodgers and every single other talented quarterback that learns from the sideline
-
People don't realize that as much as you can make a quarterback.. you can ruin a quarterback Josh in my opinion coming from the mountain West needed a full year on the bench and seasoning... That year on the bench can coach out flaws that you have Getting thrown in the fire is sink or swim... Yes Josh swam.. but he also didn't get to work on the flaws he had as a quarterback Some of those flaws still come around today... Literally 20 plus weeks on the bench could correct that So yeah I would have seen a two and fourteen season with Josh on the bench because he probably would even be better... Every quarterback should sit it's that tough Quarterbacks getting thrown to the fire is why they don't succeed First round picks used to sit back in the day and learn ... Nothing bad can come from a talented player learning the NFL game from the sidelines... But plenty can happen when you throw a young kid into the league and there's not enough pieces around him... Sitting a talented quarterback to learn the game is never bad
-
Umm McDermott would never go to Terry and say it's him or me lol Because contract wise and talent wise nobody siding with McDermott... Why would he pull an ultimatum with Terry pegula over a Hall of Fame caliber quarterback? McDermott certainly doesn't want to go back to the Nathan peterman's and tyrod Taylor's... He has a seven year career in Buffalo because Josh Allen blossomed McDermott bench Taylor because we were having trouble moving past midfield We're still 6th in the NFL in scoring... Yeah McDermott should get fired on the spot if he went to Kyle Allen

And that scummy Bengals defender slide tackled Kincaid like he was shutting down a shortstop turning 2 Incredibly dangerous and illegal -
WNY in general or Bennett? Bennett has A good amount over all 4 classes (fresh-SR) He has been putting out division 1 talent for 5 straight years Georgia came to Bennett practice last year to watch a freshman... But yes WNY has been upping the talent recently... Kids from WNY routinely commit to UB or SU or Pitt etc
-
Canisius has also built an amazing program over 10-15 years One of the top programs in New York state independent of school classification Western New York high School football is buzzing
-
Georgia came to Bennett high School last year to watch a freshman play He's certainly putting kids in a very good positions to succeed in life academically and athletically
-
It was a clerical error that got Bennett's wins taken away A procedural error .. with paperwork with a kid transferring over And yes technically every single Buffalo high schooler has to chose a HS... It's not like how Lancaster kids go to Lancaster... You have always had to apply for Buffalo City high schools They all have to apply to the city schools ... So a kid going into the 9th grade can apply to Bennett or tech or city honors etc Obviously a lot harder to get in the city honors then Bennett... So yes he is getting a monopoly on the best local talent in 9th grade... Pretty sure Hutch and Emerson and city honors also merged their football team... Bennett merged with East and olmstead which obviously helped But even the best A&b schools are recruiting now... Sweet home has been known to recruit Everything changed when the Harvard cup ended... That was the prestigious Buffalo public School cup which was not federation and they were not allowed to play for state championships... Now they are federation And every kid still has to apply to every Buffalo high School and get accepted... Some tougher than others and they are in different classifications now Bennett isn't hard to get into and they have the best HS coach in Buffalo and play AA ball... The only other buffalo city school in AA is Hutch tech ... Which is more an academic school It's like Georgia recruiting vs Duke But the Harvard cup was the most prestigious football cup in Buffalo for over a hundred years... The city cared more about crowning a city champion then going to state... Which kind of evened the field between the city high schools over 10 years spans When they went federation it did change the playing field... Now the only AA options are Tech or Bennett... And tech is more academic A option is McKinley B option is South Park , burgard rn South Park did win a state championship in federation but quickly declined... McKinley can't really get a footing in class A Everybody in New York state said Bennett going AA was a mistake... That they can't hang with Lancaster and orchard Park... They can't keep up with graduation rates... They won't have the depth... Nobody believed besides the community I would cheer for Lancaster any other time in the playoffs... But nobody gave the boys from Bennett a chance a decade ago It's a great story

First there's some people don't like anything or anybody Second Steve McDuffie has a great reputation in Buffalo by people that know him... Has been nominated for national coach of the year Has won State coach of the year.. keeps kids in School... Helps kids graduate .. helps keep kids off the street Has sent plenty of kids to college for a further education and to play sports The city of buffalo has some of the roughest areas in the country.. some of the lowest graduation rates in the country.. he keeps kids in school and graduating Also if it was that easy then every Buffalo public School should be able to put together a super team... McKinley struggles as does Tech and burgard having a perennial powerhouse and the best AA football team in New York state is a tremendous achievement It literally takes a lot to keep kids who are potentially going to go to gangs, in school and off the street.. McDuffie has done a lot for the city of buffalo It's silly to come in here and bash what he has done for the program and the kids of buffalo over 20 years He has changed so many kids lives
-
Lol infidelity If there ain't no ring on the finger.... There is no vow when you're dating
-
Buffalo has always had a lot of talent in the area but couldn't always maintain it.. lots of talent flunked out or kicked out etc McDuffie has done a tremendous job with the young men of buffalo giving them a stable figure and guidance Bringing the second inner city school in Buffalo to win a state championship and they want another He is keeping young men in school, making them get HS diplomas and has had many kids played college football including D1 Good luck in the playoffs

Washington v USC: Battle for the First Overall Pick
Buffalo716 replied to mannc's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yea , that's a big reason BUT.. it's not like he's 30... He seems to have fully recovered from his ACL injuries and his shoulder looks fine ... He had a serious separation of the throwing shoulder But he's a big strong kid and going from Indiana to Washington was the correct move... He has certainly earned the first round selection wherever it is And I wish somebody like him nothing but success And yes I would take him over bo nix -
