  1. It's fine if you don't like him But he was the best player in the country as a 20 year sophomore There's not a 20 year old kid alive who doesn't have bad performances... Especially when they're not on the greatest team What did you think about Josh Allen's bad performances? Or Peyton Mannings? 20-year-old kid struggle because there's a defensive coordinator getting paid on the other side of the ball...Paid to stop him Urban Meyer refused to start Joe burrow at Ohio State because he said he threw like a girl... Joe burrow couldn't start at OSU And he's a number one pick who went to the super bowl It's all about situations... And how you grow Williams has much more talent than Joe b as 21 year old
  2. Football is the ultimate team game Peyton Manning never beat Florida... USC is actually not that great outside of williams... Betting ND over USC was a cakewalk USC is not physical... No defense... And nothing in the trenches... They're going to lose four games this year... I don't think they're close to being the best Pac12 team... Utah is playing a former walk on and he can keep it close USC is the most overrated team in the country But you can't put it on Williams because the team isn't built right
  3. Fighters fight man Would've loved to see him lump him up but warriors go when it's time I don't think it would matter if it was a UFC main event or a backyard brawl... Volk is fighting anyone they ask, anytime He's a beast and would probably fight GSP if they asked lol
  4. Height and weight are numbers ... I've talked about that on this board Williams is built the right way... My friend is in Oklahoma booster who helped recruit him ... And he swears he will be 6'2 ... Even if he was 6'1 7/8... 220 that's thick He doesn't get taken down by arm tackles and plays way more like elway or mahomes than a Jake locker or Mayfield He has an absolute Cannon... Can extend plays for 10 seconds, and not one linebacker in the pac-12 can tackle him one on one He's definitely not small.. I think he's bigger than DeShaun Watson just looking at him on the field
  5. College teams historical players that can help them win now They don't care about future draft prospects... So schools like USC always have one of the best college quarterbacks... But that doesn't always translate That doesn't mean a quarterback who goes to USC can't be really good Perennial powerhouses want to win college games... They don't care about developing a professional qb Which is a whole different game and animal... But Caleb would've been a Heisman winner at Oklahoma or USC and is not your typical USC qb He has way more pro potential than Leinart or darnold and even palmer in this modern game
  6. Even with 2 first round picks they aren't moving up that far And yeah it's crazy to give it up for a wide receiver even like Marvin Harrison Jr Does the Homer in you see how sloppy some of his routes are? Amazing talent but he's not Jerry Rice... Certainly would give up a first round pick for the rights to draft him... But that's not going to get it done with a guy who's going inside the top 6 I literally expect a 4.42 forty maybe faster... But he's long so he's probably better in the hundred than he is the 40
  7. Time to grind out this dub Horns up 🤘
  8. of course If you're a football player through and through you know the risks and don't care... JJ Watt was never going to be an accountant The dude is a football player... No matter if he had 25 surgeries or not... He'd keep playing
  9. The school the quarterback goes to absolutely does not matter It always comes down to the player not the school People don't like USC or Ohio State quarterbacks because they recruit the best high school quarterbacks to win now... They don't want to develop a guy for 3 years... They don't care about your pro potential... They want the best 20-year-old college quarterback available They don't care what you're ceiling is.. or how far you can grow They want the guy who could execute their offense every Saturday and get them to a conference championship
  10. He will still do that : )
  11. Really ***** good
  12. serious injuries may make you rethink things He may be mulling over his long term career... Scary injury ... Gotten 2 contracts Nobody says you need to destroy your body for football ... Coming from someone who destroyed his body He may be reconsidering things
  13. AJ will surprise if he plays McDermott knows his strengths and weaknesses... he would be an edge Blitzer and can make plays Keep him aggressive and he will surprise... Russel Wilson has NEVER been the same after he met AJ
  14. Yeah I don't buy it I don't believe McDermott let's Frazier call an entire season and then takes it away with 13 seconds left The one time he did take away play calling 6 years ago the entire Buffalo media picked up on it and asked him at the podium
  15. Oklahoma -17.5 vs UCF Iowa -3.5 vs Minnesota
  16. I think bass looks amazing inside 45-50... Usually right down the pipe He's dialed in on extra points from the left hash The right hash is definitely his weakest link with how he likes to shape the ball.. but I'm not even sure if the two misses were from the right hash They were his m.o Miss.... He usually pushes it wide right from 50 plus when he misses
  17. Exactly it's usually piss poor angles If you are in the right spot you don't need to hip drop tackle And it does create the same torque as a horse collar but with your hip dropping down on the back of your opponent's legs People also don't differentiate between dirty and legal in football.. there's plenty of plays that are legal but are considered dirty because they blur the lines It's a dirty way to tackle.. it's definitely not good technique, and it's way more dangerous than a standard tackle
  18. Listen football is a violent sport... Nobody wants to make it flag football There's a difference between tackling somebody from the side or the back... And dropping your hip onto the back of their legs rolling them up The key part of this is when they drop their hip , and rolls the leg up... Which causes serious injury like a horse collar You can avoid that... Nobody's saying you can't grab a player's ankle or leg... You can't sit down on the back of it
  19. @PatsFanNH You can disagree with everybody here... And say that's how it's taught But there's a reason why few division 1 football players are coming from New Hampshire Horse collar is illegal because of the damage it can do ... This is the same principle You don't need to drop all your weight onto somebody's lower body to tackle them from behind.. and roll them up You can tackle people from the ankles and shins without breaking their tibia or fibia or ankle
  20. Maybe I'm not getting my point across clearly... I'm saying hip drops is a dirty tackle And most players know it's dangerous but they do it because it's effective... They don't think about doing it it just happens because it's an effective way to tackle from behind But if the league starts cracking down on it players will obviously stop doing it.. they do it because they get away with it
  21. People know what they're doing That was my point they just react and do it... They don't have to think about doing it they just do it
  22. In a game where people are flying around 20 miles an hour It's a game of reaction not thinking... You really don't think in the moment to drop your hips away from his legs... Dropping your hips on his legs is what helps the tackle You're dropping on him in the speed of the game Somebody is running away from you and you're running up to him closing distance.. you're not dropping your hips away from him , you are sticking to him like glue
  23. Eli refused to go to San Diego and Elway the colts because they wanted to avoid bad organizations
  24. Well it's pretty obvious when you grab someone from behind , and just sit down all your weight on the back of his legs It's different than diving and making a tackle
