  1. I have found its better to let it all out on game day, rather than carry it around all week long ?
  2. Steak, booze, sense of dull dread... Sounds like any given Sunday for Bills' fans. I didn't know you could be paid for that.
  3. If this is true, watch for the Giants to take Metcalf at 6.
  4. Knew he had some injuries, didn't know he was due 10 mil tho! That does seem high for him. When healthy tho, he was a really good player I thought...
  5. Wonder why? Always liked that dude
  6. At this stage of the year, it's all speculation. The draft can't get here fast enough. Thought I'd lay out whom I believe to be the top ten talents in this year's draft, and see what everybody else's choices would be...as undoubtedly folks' draft boards are going to be quite different. With that in mind, here's my board 1) Quinnen Williams DL Alabama 2)Nick Bosa Edge Ohio State 3) Ed Oliver DL Houston 4)Josh Allen Edge Kentucky 5) Devin White LB LSU 6)Byron Murphy CB Washington 7)Jaylon Ferguson Edge LA Tech 8)Christian Wilkins DL Clemson 9)Jawaan Taylor OT Florida 10) Greedy Williams CB LSU Bonus 11-15 11) Josh Jacobs RB Alabama 12)Jeffery Simmons DT Mississippi State 13) Cody Ford OT Oklahoma 14)TJ Hockenson TE Iowa 15 a)Deionte Thompson S Alabama 15 b) Deandre Baker CB Georgia Thoughts? Opinions? Complaints?
  7. How can you not Love Kyle Williams? Hope he gets into the broadcast booth sooner rather than later. In the meantime, enjoy retirement Kyle. And thank you for being my favorite Bill since Jimbo!
  8. I don't think anybody is saying that ONE O-lineman is gonna fix it. There are multiple spots to upgrade.
  9. Good post. I think this is spot on. Regardless of where or how we do it, we all can agree we need to drastically upgrade the O-line
  10. Great stuff! Note that both WR from Ole Miss not named DK have had multiple contacts with the FO. Both have higher catch percentage. AJ in the 2nd, Lodge in the 4th?
  11. Especially at the price it'll cost to tag him...
  12. They Definately need to upgrade their LB's. They are abysmal there.
  13. Yeah, if you've noticed ANY of my posts, Im not that guy. In fact, I have said no way to Jonah, who could very well be a Gaurd, at #9. In fact, he's the 4th-5th OL on my list and I think may drop to the 2nd round. That said, if he's there at 40, and is BPA at the time, I wouldn't hate it. We need help everywhere, including G. No way do I take him at 9. I wouldn't necessarily be overjoyed at taking Taylor or Dillard or Ford at #9, but if they are BPA at #9 and fills an immediate need, I'm ok with it. Beane has already said he didn't feel there were any "elite" oline at 9, but if the combine changed his opinion at all, I trust him. He also has said their opinion is that they do not believe in the notion of a true "#1" WR in today's NFL. So I'd be hard pressed to believe they go DK at 9. They believe its more about matchups these days. FWIW. Sstrength at the top of this draft is D-line. Would even throw in Devin White to that mix. Kyle's replacement is there for the taking and meets value/need. I think that's where they go and I'd be happy happy happy to grab Oliver,Allen, or even Wilkinson at 9. Just my take on it...
  14. I agree. I don't think he is a top 50 prospect either. Hard to imagine him being a reliable blocker at the next level
  15. I never said a first round OL was a "fix". Nor do I think that. So I don't know whats asinine other than your assumptions that I said that, or believe that. What I believe is that DK Metcalf is nothing worth #9 and he won't "fix" this team. My opinion is we would do a better service to Josh Allen if we went early and often to upgrade the oline. That said, I'm hoping for Ed Oliver at 9. Not a WR. I just don't see that helping this team in the immediate future
  16. And how many 1st rd receivers get to the SB?
  17. Interesting. I've heard it said he was a locker room cancer tho? Having him at SAM and moving Lorax to DE would be a creative way to add a pass rusher?
  18. I hear ya bud, I just think he's a luxury pick that we don't have the luxury of drafting at 9 when our lines need just as much attention. A better O line helps Allen just as much, if not more, than DK does IMO
  19. Run first. Play action. Speed can be found anywhere. It doesn't have to come in the form of DK at 9. To me, speed and strength is his top qualities. If he's gonna be just used as a deep threat, that's attainable at a lower cost. What we need that we don't have, is a big bodied, smoothe route running possession reciever I agree. I love his play. Just not at 9 All for naught if our line ain't fixed. Rome wasn't built in a day
  20. Those were two QB's. T hats a little different than skill players
  21. Thats cool. I'm not saying he's not talented. Im saying that his talent/ skill does not fit us at #9 overall. Let's not act as if tho QB's above any other position are not the exception to the rule. I'm saying we can get an immediate return if we draft an elite D or O lineman at 9 and get a very good WR later in the draft that may be comparable to the production we'd get out of DK in the offensive philosophy that McBeane chooses to operate
  22. CB Derrik Baity from Kentucky would be a great 4-5 rd pick. 4 year player, never missed a game. 6'3" 190 lbs. 125+ tackles. 25 PD. 5 int's.
  23. 53 TFL in 3 years is not crazy production?? Sacks are a TFL too. He averaged over 22 total TFL's a year. I'd say that's crazy production for a college player
  24. And you are entitled to it. I'm not trying to talk you out of it. I myself am a fan of getting every ounce of knowledge available before making a life changing decision. Aaron Donald was considered small. A tweener. He was projected to go 4th-5th round. If he'd have bench pressed 17 reps, instead of an impressive 35 reps, do you think he'd have gone 13th overall? That's a case of numbers actually HELPING a team make the right call. Food for thought....
