How can we not be all in on Metcalf now?
BuffAlone replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't put words into my mouth. I'd have drafted Both of those guys. Both were considered small but numbers at the combine alleviated some concerns about sustainability at the next level for a lot of GMs. Again, its just PART of the process. Every bit of info to be had is an excellent idea when a team's/FO's career and livelihood depends on making a decision. I mean, if you buy a new house, you don't just look at it and buy it, do you? I need to see the foundation, the yearly taxes, etc before I make an educated offer on the property. Again, its not everything, but the more you know the better decision you make -

Some numbers matter. Its just the way it is. Arm length for O-linemen. Short area quickness for skill players. Height/weight for Defensive front 7 guys. Like its already been said, its just part of the puzzle. If a 6' 271 lb OT dominates competition at Niagara county community college with 30 inch arms, that don't mean he's a viable option in the NFL. -
Predicting the 2019 QB class/Draft
BuffAlone replied to Zerovoltz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pretty spot on IMO. However, we've all seen how QB's get drafted ahead of their projected value. So starting with Lock, I'd need to bump up every QB you list one whole round -

I don't. I think he goes mid to late first rd. I got Taylor 1, Cody Ford 2, Dillard 3. Think they all go in the first. Wouldn't surprise me to see Jonah fall to the 2nd round. JMO of course -

Dilliard by all accounts may have looked the best out of all OT. Silky smooth. But yeah, I'm not on the Jonah Wagon like most -
Why would the ten spot be interesting for a trade? If Denver covets Lock and he's there at 10, they won't be trading that pick. If they move up, it will be for a QB so not much left at 10...

Id even take Cody Ford, Andre Dillard before a projected G in Jonah Williams -
Chris Trapasso Mock Draft: Bills take DT Ed Oliver
BuffAlone replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kyle wasn't a pass rushing force at LSU. He honed his craft at the next level. A DT needs to clog the middle, freeing up LB'ers firstly. A dominant pass rush is just gravy and sets them apart as a force to be reckoned with. That said, Oliver is that force -
Oh, I agree that they are more talented, but if they go 1/2, White could be in play. Their LB's are not good

Fair enough. Rice was drafted 16th overall. Not sure about his history of drops, being he played for a small school. If he had the drops as you claim, I'm surprised he went that high, especially given his lack of national exposure due to playing at lowly Mississippi Valley State. Small school guys don't get drafted that high, especially if they are prone to not catching the damn ball lmao. T.O. was a third round pick. We are talking days of anylitics and social media. Resourses that weren't available back then. We are also talking #9 overall. I don't see your arguement -

Not opposed. But at #9 overall I am. He has no short area burst. Nor the production in college that shows he's been a consistent playmaker worthy of a top ten pick. What's so hard to understand? -

I didn't watch. But I can't recall drops being an issue with Harry collegiantly, like is the case with Butler -
Don't sleep on him going #3 to the Jests. Pairing him with Darron Lee would be a solid move for them....if they stay at 3 that is

Butler has issues with drops. Thats the difference -
He has played all LB positions. And rather well I might add

Other than Quinnen Williams, Oliver is my favorite player in this draft. If he should fall to 9, I'm sprinting to the podium! Those are the only two in this draft that absolutely scream Buffalo Bills to me. -

Agreed. The whole sideline coat wearing spat thing hopefully is just enough to drop him to number 9 Smoke. Cory Glenn can't play OT either lol -

I think there are a few that may be available at 9 that's worthy. Oliver, White,Taylor,Dilliard, Byron Murphy. And if a crazy run on QB's happens( might happen) Josh Allen. I'm so ready for this draft! To think we have a QB and MLB in place for years to come makes this year very different and excruciatingly exciting! AJ Brown I hope! -

Two names to consider in round 2..Riley Ridley or N'keal Harry. Both scream potential Franchise receivers to me. At a reasonable cost to boot. Rome wasn't built in a day -

That said, I just can't see the overall value meeting the investment. Not when there are equal, or even greater holes to fill this year -

We will remain a run first team. Deep speed in Foster, a shifty slot guy, and a big reliable possession receiver. I'm not sure where, or if, Zay fits in, but regardless, if speed was all we covet, that can be found in lower rounds, or via FA. Not at the cost/risk of a #9 overall pick All about value! -

So, his change of direction speed doesn't alarm you as a top ten pick? But he doesn't... And we have deep speed. We need a possession receiver before we need depth at speed -

This is the most realistic pick for 9. Id rather Q Williams, but would take Oliver over Josh Allen or Devin White. I'd even prefer Oliver over Bosa to be honest, as a fit of need meeting talent and process. I just think Bosa is gonna be too diva for a process loving blue collar type
