  1. I'm wondering if Elway thinks he still has a good enough defense to make a run, and throw his first round pick, etc.. to make a serious push for AB. He's likely not long in the tooth at his job if he doesn't hurry up and get that team turned around
  2. I don't know if he's ever played guard. But some of the stuff I've read, it seems like he's a zone guy. So, what did Indy run last year? Cuz that's likely the system we'll be running this year. I'm thinking it was a zone. If that's the case, Miller is likely gone as he don't perform well in that. In fact, none of our IOL did lol. Its gonna be interesting to see what happens. Morse allowed like 2 sacks in his entire career , both in his rookie year. He suffered some injuries the last 2 years, but is stellar when healthy. And maybe will come just a bit cheaper than Paradis. Guess we'll see
  3. One less team moving up for a QB?
  4. I was seriously confused at first. Took me a bit to realize that it WAS him. He must've gained 20 lbs recently. Even his face has changed. He looks like a monster now, compared to just a beast. God help the DB's when he takes the field! Hopefully, he isn't TOO big, and still plays like he can. He could be drafted as a LB at his size for crying out loud. Scary
  5. Why would we need both? I can't post links, but check out Sal C's article in the Democrat &Chronicle about it. Quite interesting
  6. Yeah, Morse seems a better fit than Paradis actually...per our need
  7. They HAVE TO spend money in FA. Its the rules.this is a "just In case" signing to be afforded BPA in the draft.
  8. I was duped by this thread yesterday. He's cut out of the photo. Ain't him
  9. The kid is good. Checks all the boxes. Tough. Smart. Process.heavy hitting defender over the middle Thrilled to have him!
  10. Oh, I agree with that. Just hope his cancer don't wind up here!
  11. Suppose he was just waiting for his legal issues to resolve before stating the obvious. Must be no probation involved so he can move freely lol Not to mention on the wrong side of 30 and big contract owed. Although, Steelers would eat most of that in dead cap.....
  12. Something always lingers when the grandkids pull my finger?
  13. Ddepends on whether or not year 3 is garuanteed. Groy signed a two year deal, and another two year deal after McD was hired. Yeah, his second contract was only $5 million, but was fully garaunteed. So depending on the language of the contract, it may very well just end up a middle of the road deal. This doesn't mean we don't draft/acquire more bodies at Center, or Guard for that matter
  14. At the end of the day, we MUST spend a minimum amount of cash in FA per NFL rules I believe. And if we can't entice some of the bigger names/contracts, the money has to be spent. So there's another aspect to consider.....and at this price, and position, I don't think it's beyond a reasonable contract
  15. That's Definately starter money. I'm guessing McBeane figure his fingers/tendons are healed fully and expect him to start. Question is, where? I'd still rather see him at G rather than C
  16. If that's the case, maybe Miller gets re-signed. He played much better in that scheme than in a zone. Just a thought...
  17. Or DT...he's a chunky butt these days lol
  18. That. Is. Ridiculous! Look at the guns on that dude. He may be more ripped than David Boston AND T.O. Combined How in the world are DB's supposed to tackle that man? Lol
  19. Im with this take as well Gunner. I think an extra 4th & 5th gets us back into the 3rd rd. Not sure a trade DOWN is as likely unless its only a few spots and the value is too good to pass up. I think Beane's statement regarding a top ten pick and not needing it does not indicate a trade down for more picks. I think it means we can grab a top ten talent although our roster is not in as bad shape relevant to our draft position. And THATS very good for us! I expect something like this being our lot 1) 2) 3) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 7) T hats still a lot of new blood to potentially sign. And not all of them are likely to beat out guys on the PS, let alone make the 53. It'd be more prudent to add a few less, higher rated guys, than add a bunch of guys who have no conceivable chance of sticking
  20. Revamped? Absolutely. Regardless, we need depth at the very least. The kid has shown in the past to at least be worthy of a reserve. And Teller last year was also worthy of that as a rookie. I'm not saying Miller is a 6 million dollar man, but he doesn't suck. I've seen him play well, albeit not recently. If the price is right, you keep him. But an upgrade would certainly be welcome
  21. I don't think he sucks. Wrong scheme fit, probably. Think at this point he's better than Ducasse and Teller. But at what cost is the deal breaker...
  22. If he clears medical, and with the "Carolina connection", sign me up. Any moves we make in FA to shore up loose ends, hello BPA in the draft! And I'm all for that!
