If the next season ends the same way that's when you make the change. McDermott and Beane get one more offseason to prove they can take this team to the next step. If they can't you don't waste any more of Allen's career.

That doesn't excuse the offense's performance today though. Everything looked so disjointed. Run game was mediocre, pass protection bad, no quick passing game schemed open. Worst offensive performance of the entire season at the worst possible time. -
Sure build the OL but we need a splash move. Everything about this offense is so much harder than it needs to be. Allen covers up a lot. We aren't getting consistent separation because Diggs gets bracketed and the other pass catchers don't beat their man in single coverage. Compare to Burrow throwing to wide open WRs all over the field.

He has another good 2-3 years in him and he wouldn’t have to be our #1. We are throwing the ball downfield a ton and Gabe Davis is not anywhere close to good enough to fill that role.

These awful CBs and our guys can't get open. Go get DeAndre Hopkins. That's my crusade this offseason. It is a no brainer move.

Our checkdowns stink. I will never understand why fans thought that is what our offense was missing.

How has this offensive coaching staff not figured out blitz counters? We have gotten killed on them constantly this year. Allen previously in his career was one of the best against the blitz.

True but it was better before the elbow injury.

He needs the offseason to rest his elbow. His short and intermediate accuracy has been off since that injury. Allen coming in ready to play next year is the least of my concerns. They have got to get him some more help.

Not sure there's anything we can do about the OL other than adding guys in the draft. It isn't a great FA class as far as I can tell. Just add weapons that can catch the ball and develop a quick passing game.

We have made zero great plays today when we had opportunities for them. Allen's run in the red zone earlier was it. Everyone else has failed to meet the moment at every possible chance.

That's fair, he can stay here one more year by default. But a splash move is needed for the offense and DeAndre Hopkins is the obvious move. If we have to make sacrifices elsewhere so be it.

Not a bunch of players. Just Oliver and Poyer. Hopkins' impact on the team would be much bigger than both of them combined, not even close.

They have to let Oliver and Poyer walk. Poyer is old and Oliver has not lived up to his draft status. Use their money to pay for a true #2 WR and build up the OL.

Go trade for Deandre Hopkins. What have we got to lose?

Just crazy how the whole team is unprepared for the moment. You'd think this was our first time in the playoffs.

Turns out we have a backup DL. I think Rousseau will take a big step next year after his 2nd full offseason, looks to me like he hit the wall this year. The rest of the DL is replaceable.

All that talk about 3 backup OL and this is the pass rush performance we get. It's really just embarrassing.

Just an awful play calling series in goal to go. 1st and 3rd down calls never had a chance.

2.7 YPC in the 1st half. Our run game has been bad.

We tried 2 checkdowns, one was tipped one was dropped by Singletary. It isn't going to work. It's just a narrative people came up with.

Offense needs to find some rhythm in the 2nd half. Deep pass game is not going to work. Get Cook on the field more, get the ball in his hands on quick completions.

We tried two checkdowns on that drive. One tipped, one off the hands of Singletary. Sorry guys but checking the ball down is not the secret to unlocking this offense. We are not blocking or getting open consistently enough, that's the problem.

That's an awful 3rd and medium defensive call. I don't understand that at all.

Our two most important DL are missing. It's making our defense non-functional.
