I believe the reason he only got one game is because the Pats play the Steelers in 2 weeks. You know the NFL would never punish the Pats in any way for a meaningful game. I'd be willing to bet money that if the Pats were playing the Steelers this week instead, Gronks appeal process would have taken much longer and he would have been allowed to play this week and then been suspended for the following week. I was there as well but I was at the other goal line. we were in the first row at about the 5 yd line so we couldn't see squat when they were at the other end of the field. correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't that then become a penalty on defensive player? I thought once you go out of bounds, you cannot touch the ball? If a receiver steps OOB at some point running his route, he becomes ineligible and a flag is thrown if he does catch a pass. So although it would probably still be ruled a dead ball, at least they should have gotten the penalty yards. Or do I have this all wrong? I remember that Bills game as well and was asking this same question then.
