  1. 7) 1998: Flutie in his first game as a Bill comes in for injured Rob Johnson (also first game as a Bill) in the second half down 16-0 in San Diego. Flutie Throws 2 TDs to Reed and then drives us down to a 39yd FG to win it on the last play. Christie shanks it. Bills lose 16-14. adding insult to injury, it was Ryan Leafs first NFL game and damn near his only win.
  2. So true! as proof, This is the only play I can remember from his entire time here!
  3. When I was a kid in the 70's, my Dad told me about this play from the 1954 Cotton Bowl
  4. Dolphins are mammals. We know this to be the truth. Don't care, Squish the fish.
  5. I think I'm gonna wear it to the Rams game next week!
  6. A close friend works for Motley Crue. The Bills made custom jerseys for all the band members for their concert at the stadium last week. Vince Neil was the only one to wear his during the encore. the other guys didn't care to take theirs. I was given my choice of theirs and chose Nikki Sixx
  7. I feel the complete opposite. Its a violation that happened after the play and didn't affect its outcome. It should not penalize the team. Its a personal foul that deserves personal punishment. Besides, fining them lots of $$$ is likely a more effective way to make them think before they act anyway. Just my opinion of course.
  8. Couple less mentioned but memorable openers, one good and one bad. '96 opener vs Giants on SNF. Down 17-0, Kelly rallys team to force OT and then win it 23-20! I was at the bad one. '98 opener in SD. the first Johnson/Flutie game. Johnson sucked and then got hurt in 3rd qtr. Bills were down 10-0. Flutie comes in and hits Reed for 2 TDS to make it 16-14 SD. Then he takes final drive deep and sets up chip shot FG for the win. Christie shanks it
  9. well if Steeler, Pats and Chiefs fans hadn't seen their teams play in a Championship game in 27 years I'll bet they would be happy to make it there.
  10. There is also the fact that in each of the last 2 seasons, the road teams won 3 out of the 4 wildcard games. Last year we were the only road team to lose on Wildcard weekend. 3 seasons ago it was 2-2. In 2015, road teams were 4-0 WC weekend.
  11. not true. that was 1998. we made the playoffs and wound up having to play on the road in the WC game vs Miami. If that Pats game isn"t stolen from us we get to play at home. that was the magic Flutie year and anything could have happened.
  12. Duke would probably beat the Jets by 13pts. Alabama would beat them by 40+ 😜
  13. Different cba for sure, but didn't Bledsoe sign a record 10yr 100 mil contract with the Pats before the 2000 season? Then only played 2 games before getting hurt and Brady happened? I could have faulty memory of this.
  14. I Always found it odd that the kid was 4 years old but didn't have a single hair on his head??
  15. I would hate the bye where you have it. It should be before the TNF game not after. That's a 17 day break. No thanks!
  16. 52 years old, married to the Bills for 46 of them and I've never even been to Buffalo. Thanks OJ. Born and raised in Peoria Illinois and moved to Los Angeles in 1991. When I was a bit younger and single I was an avid Bills collector. Had my two sons in early-mid 2000s and I lost my Bills room to them and so most of it got boxed up and stored. Through the drought I told my wife if the Bills ever made the playoffs again, I was gonna get it all out and decorate the living room and it was gonna stay till they got knocked out. She agreed to it because she follows football and had watched almost every game with me since Flutie and figured she had nothing to worry about. 2 years ago when it finally happened, I did it, although I didn't have access to many of the boxes at the time it was still cool to see some of that stuff again even if it only lasted a week. This time I was ready! hopefully it will get to stay out for a month this time! Most of it is from SB era of course. It was hard finding stuff in the 70's and 80's living in Peoria. Much of it is from many years of birthday and Christmas gifts. There are a hand full of rare and one of a kind items mixed in. The Last picture is my very favorite item. And it is legit. There's plenty more that I didn't put out, lots of jerseys, hoodies, t-shirts, about 75 hats, every issue of 'Shout' and my "real" collection, one of the most complete Bills football card collections from the early 60's through around 1999. Not bad for a diehard fan of 46 years whose never even been to Buffalo! enjoy! http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd http://photobucket.com/confirmation?token=vkyoC1fCsgTcaVMlkiDqZYxY401XfqTL5DWfIR7ULMwTHTs6mM1tKYgQcyY08rVkSAvt3qh1WaR5fBLKfmGDEg3%2FUL6cLOKd I'm not sure why the pictures aren't working. Did I do it wrong?
  17. The Bills have done a lot of things this year that they haven’t done since 1999. maybe playing well in Baltimore can be one more!
  18. I don't think OJ has enough money at this point to pay off Senorise Perry to get his number back. Maybe he could go back to his original #36?
  19. Thats pretty accurate in my opinion. The only real complaint that I recall around here was how he seemed incapable of catching a pass without going to the ground, even if he was wide open and it was a good throw. Missed out on a lot of YAC. He seemed to get over that with the Rams.
  20. Nope, Game was only on NFL network. They obviously can't sell nearly the advertising load that the networks can sell.
  21. not completely true. In the scenario with the Dolphins beating NE, the Steelers game really means nothing. Bills can lose to the Steelers and Pats can beat Bengals this week and the Bills will still win the division if they win last 2 and Pats lose to Miami. Both will be 11-5 and Bills win tie with better division record.
  22. Wow! Owens made more big plays than I recalled. I kinda remembered him being mostly invisible outside of the 98 yd TD.
