  1. Now you're bashing Tyrod by including games he didn't even play in? That's a new low.
  2. We didn't have to play Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, or Matt Ryan. Those kinds of things even out. What doesn't even out is playing against an injured third string QB. I don't think that happened in any other game all season.
  3. Also, if you take out the game Tyrod didn't play, we move into 8th in offense.
  4. And I already said: "Except 15 other teams played the same team we scored 45 against. We're the only team who played against the Pats' injured third string QB. The former is statistically relevant. The latter is not."
  5. 25th in yards, 24th in TDs. I don't recall ever saying that wasn't a bad thing, but please stop blatantly lying. The Patriots' defenses have been ranked #1,2,6,8,1 for their Super Bowl wins. Hey MAJMauryCrusher, why does Tom Brady need a top defense to win a Super Bowl but we don't even need to be in the top 20?
  6. Not usually a grammar Nazi, but you only had to get four words correct. C'mon man. Also... Sweet comeback. Well I'm glad the defense tightened up for about two minutes out of the entire game. Seriously? Simone Biles would have trouble with the gymnastics you're doing in your head.
  7. Except 15 other teams played the same team we scored 45 against. We're the only team who played against the Pats' injured third string QB. The former is statistically relevant. The latter is not. I'm sorry, but did you just suggest that giving up 69 points in two games is "giving Taylor a chance"? You guys are in maximum troll mode today. Edit: By "you guys," I don't mean dneveu. I mean Crusher, Maury, MAJBobby. The Three Musketrolls.
  8. Don't take it personally. The data was there. I just, ya know, looked at it.
  9. Oh dear. They've completely lost the ability to form cohesive thought. Sorry about that.
  10. So you're just going to pretend that you weren't wrong about 2011 & 2013 huh? McCoy did not do as well in 2014 with Foles and Sanchez. He had the second most yards of his career in 2014, but his yards per attempt were tied for the second lowest of his career. So that means he just had a high volume with Foles and Sanchez, and he had some pretty putrid games if you actually go check them out. His yards per attempt in 2016 with Tyrod were over a full yard more than in 2014 (5.4 vs 4.2) AND his receiving stats were more than twice as good in 2016 than 2014. You done yet?
  11. Michael Vick. Again, look it up yourself before you run headlong into an embarrassing comment. You asked what McCoy's stats were when he was with Kolb. Since you don't do any actual research yourself, I decided to answer your question. Don't get upset when it blows up in your face. And McCoy has always been elite. That doesn't mean he can't benefit more from the scheme he's playing in or the players around him. Also, your silence regarding the second part of my post speaks volumes.
  12. From 6 starts together (I didn't count the 7th because Kolb was injured after ten attempts and Vick took over): McCoy 96 rush 370 yards 2 TD Not nearly as good as with TT. Maybe next time you should actually do some research yourself. Considering the anti-Tyrod contingent has put zero effort into coming up with their own data to support their arguments, I'll assume you selectively remembered that statistic from my post that detailed the following: Defense ppg in wins 14.1 Defense ppg in losses 31.1 Offense ppg in wins 28.7 Offense ppg in losses 23.5 And that includes the shutout of New England, which doesn't even come close to happening if Tom Brady is playing (the Patriots scored 41 the next time we played them... in Buffalo) Claiming the defense was responsible for our wins and the offense was responsible for our losses is comical. You brought up the ppg stat, so take a look at the numbers you conveniently omitted. Then try and make that claim again with a straight face. Here's something else to think about: Tyrod in wins: 114/184 1174YDS 7TD 2INT 326YDS 2TD rushing Tyrod in losses: 152/255 1849YDS 10TD 4INT 254YDS 5TD rushing An astute observer might notice that he actually performed more like a "franchise QB" in tougher games, while the defense performed more like a "melted slice of Swiss cheese." And before anyone tries to explain it away with a "garbage time" excuse, I'll just point out that the only game that could possibly be considered a garbage time situation is one in which the opposing running back broke a franchise record for rushing yards and set the single-game high for the season. And that game hardly helped out Tyrod's stats. Obviously Tyrod needs to improve his anticipation and timing. Not only has no one ever claimed he didn't, but the people who actually support our starting QB constantly have to remind the anti-Tyrod fringe that no one is claiming that. And yet, we still get the jokers who insist there is a clandestine conspiracy to proclaim him the perfect quarterback. I would submit that Tyrod's supporters actually know his weaknesses better than his haters, simply due to the fact that they choose to be informed.
  13. I agree with your assertion about personal choice, but the problem is that people didn't know the risks in either situation, and those who should have been responsible for disclosing said risks actually covered them up and declared their product safe when they had evidence to the contrary.
  14. You ever notice how people who use terms like "snowflake" are the toughest guys on the internet and the most easily offended and childish pansies in real life? Think there's a correlation there?
  15. Only time they've ever played each other: Moore 16/30 233yds 2TD 1INT -1yds rushing Taylor 26/39 329yds 3TD 0INT 60yds rushing You'd rather have the first one? That's odd. I would be glad if the Dolphins signed Cutler, but I wouldn't be surprised if Moore took over regardless. Either way, I like our chances.
  16. If sarcasm, funny. If serious, funny but in a different, sadder way. Leave your politics at the door.
  17. That is demonstrably false. Defenses have to commit a player on many downs to the run threat that Tyrod poses. McCoy is often a beneficiary of this, as he has to worry about one fewer linebacker. It doesn't matter if defenses are playing the run, because they are also playing short-handed. It doesn't give them an advantage because they still have no idea where the ball is going. It's not the same concept as playing the run against a non-mobile QB and knowing that the RB will get the ball regardless of the situation.
  18. So you're saying that we lost those games because we stopped letting Tyrod throw the ball? That seems more like a ringing endorsement than a criticism.
  19. There you go. Just needed a simple edit to avoid all that embarrassment.
  20. We didn't play the Chiefs, and the other three games you mentioned are examples of some of the worst defensive performances of the year by any team. Solid argument. How is a success considered an excuse? Premium doublethink going on there.
  21. The Falcons could have run the ball on literally every play after they were up 28-3 and they would have won that game, or simply knelt for three downs and kicked a field goal after Julio's outrageous catch. Granted, Brady is probably the only one who could have won that game, but he needed a LOT of help from the Falcons. This says more about the hubris of passing than the need for passing.
  22. Add a proper diet and exercise to that, and add the qualifier "in practice" and the answer should be no. Always boggles my mind to see the "top athletes" in the country getting injured doing mundane drills.
  23. This requirement is always pretty absurd. There isn't a quarterback in history who can perform as well with practice squad receivers as he can with true starters. Brady has Gronk & Edelman, Matt Ryan has Julio, Roethlisberger has Antonio, Brees had Jimmy Graham and Brandin Cooks and Marques Colston. All of those quarterbacks have also had top defenses and/or top running games when their teams have been successful. GM's and coaches and analysts all talk about getting their franchise QB's "weapons" and a defense to help them be successful, and yet some people around here act like these weapons are only something that great QB's need. Tyrod isn't a true "franchise" QB, so don't worry about the state of his receiving corps or the defense. They're both irrelevant excuses. Please. We don't have to worry about Tyrod, barring his susceptibility to injury as a mobile quarterback. He's not elite, but he is good enough to win games. We need a defense first and foremost, and then we need a #1 pass catcher who can play a whole season. If you don't believe me, just look what our top-5 defense did with Kyle Orton at the helm. Pretty impressive. Look what Tyrod has done with a healthy Sammy. Also pretty impressive. Put those two together, add a healthy Shady, and BAM! Contender.
