  1. Or the QB could just throw more accurate passes.
  2. We had receivers get open on deep routes at least 5 times against the Ravens and Allen couldn't complete a single one of those opportunities presented to him.
  3. Wrong. Read the bold part. He's saying that you run vertical, and when the ball is in the air you round your route off to the football.
  4. Again, how do you coach someone to run faster?
  5. I don't think this makes much sense. The shortest route from point A (the QB) to point B (where the ball lands) is a straight line. Pushing farther up field in an attempt to round their route off isn't going to accomplish anything if they already can't get to the ball running in a straight line. If Allen was under throwing these passes, this would make sense, but there's nothing you can do to a route to make things work if the QB is consistently throwing the ball 5 yards too far. 100%. I'd guess Allen has missed 8-10 deep balls to guys running free behind the coverage this year. He missed three of them in the first quarter against the Ravens alone. Those 8-10 plays likely would have resulted in a bunch of touchdowns.
  6. Dawson Knox and Robert Foster are both over 6 feet tall. Both were overthrown by 5 yards last Sunday on what should have been easy touchdowns.
  7. The problem is Josh overthrows his targets most of the time. Our receivers can't get to his passes.
  8. This one is especially important because Pittsburgh is our direct competition for a wildcard spot.
  9. Because he's got good size, runs well, and gets open (something he's done all season). Give Knox an offseason to refine his focus on catching the ball in traffic. I think he'll be really good next year.
  10. That's not enough. The NFL needs to send a message or else it happens again. The slap on the wrist punishment never helps anything long term.
  11. It would be unprecedented for the NFL to remove an owner. This could happen in the NBA where they actually give a damn about their image, but the NFL is hell bent on protecting its owners.
  12. I remember hearing players talk about how the Pats would audible into plays to defeat specific blitz packages after Spy Gate. That the Pats knew exactly what was coming. This looks and feels like a repeat, working the system to allow a film crew access to see the Pats next opponent play. If it was for a documentary you'd think they'd only be filming the Pats. The whole thing wreaks like you know what. The most ridiculous thing is Belichick saying in an interview that post 2007 they don't push the line as much as they did before, as if they were cheating in a bunch ways until they got caught, and then had to reestablish how they'd push the rules since.
  13. Of course it was. They burned the tapes for a reason. This is an organizational failure that starts at the top. Bill Belichick should be banned from the NFL.
  14. Remember when you told me to stop with the hyperbole? Hypocrite.
  15. Bill Belichick should be banned for life. He is a continuous cheat and the NFL needs to throw the book at their most celebrated head coach.
  16. I would say that Knox has had an instant impact this year. I think next year he should be a 55 catch and maybe 700 yard type guy. We need to remember that he was hardly on the field the first 6 weeks of the season, when he was sharing snaps with Smith and Sweeney.
  17. How many were drafted last year? I'm saying that in a year or two, when Knox isn't a rookie, I think he'll be a really good player. People think we need to upgrade on Knox. Given how easily he's got open this year, I think that's nuts.
  18. Have you looked at who he went to college with? He was buried on the pecking order behind two of the SEC's best pass catchers his last two years.
  19. None of Kroft, Smith or Sweeney can get open. They're not worth having on the field as receivers because they're never open. Knox just needs to keep his eye on the ball. His issue is turning to run before the football arrives. That seems like something that can be corrected in the offseason with extensive practice.
  20. I think this is a must win game to show post season intent and keep the division in play heading into New England.
  21. Sorry, which first round rookie tight ends had significantly better seasons than Dawson Knox is on pace to produce thus far? Dallas was a dominant performance, but there's little evidence they're actually a good team this year.
  22. Our defense is amazing. We have depth at every position. If we can lock up key guys like Jordan Phillips and Shaq Lawson and add a few more pieces for next year, they should remain elite. On offense, I think the offensive line is very good, Singletary is going to be incredible next year, and our receivers are solid with Brown and Beasley under contract next year. I'd bring back Robert Foster, and I think we need to add multiple receivers to this team in the offseason (I'd use two draft picks on WRs). I also think Knox is going to be a borderline top 10-12 TE next year. He's been incredible value. If Allen can figure out his deep ball (one of the things I'm still skeptical of) and we can keep the coaching staff intact, the Bills should be an elite NFL team next year.
  23. I know. I've been riding him on my fantasy team the last month. He's been excellent.
