  1. NAAFA is calling all fat people to boycott Southwest airlines. Normal sized people rejoice!
  2. man...just got a 2010 tacoma in dec 09...am now considering trading it in for a 2010 f150 xlt...i did not drop new truck money for all these potential problems
  3. drive across the traintracks on north goodman and you'll drive through all the red lights and stop signs to avoid getting killed
  4. snowstorms don't draw any sympathy...what Buffalo needs is an alien invasion
  5. Flash is on the same team as Superman...as is Batman, so none of this "Batman can beat Superman" talk.
  6. Your own response shows your own blindness to the ugliness of our world. Ignorance may be a problem but not addressing the problem by getting to the root of its source because of political correctness is another. Vick getting caught may actually be a great remedy to that cultural issue. He said himself on Dan Patrick's show that if he hadn't been caught, he'd still be involved in dogfighting now. Because of his "stature," everyone that supposedly didn't know that dog fighting is evil now knows it loud and clear...so there aren't any more excuses of ignorance anymore to that community segment.
  7. first response to this thread and i'll note that I haven't read the rest of it... this is indeed a cultural "accident" as you term it as even his supporters term it as such for instance, Jamie Foxx said http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/20414907/ I think Whoopi Goldberg and a few others said something similar along the lines of "part of His Cultural Upbringing." It's great you think you're colorblind, but let's not be completely blind of the facts.
  8. It depends on what you like to do. If you enjoy skiing, now is a good time. If you enjoy the lakes and the ocean, summertime. I personally prefer autumn as it's always beautiful in NE during foliage season and it's a great time to hike the white mountains. From where I live (Concord), the closest place to ski is 20-30 minutes away (if you want to ski Vermont, Killington is 2 hours), coast is 45, lakes region is 45, Boston is 55 minutes). A lot of stuff to do in every direction.
  9. seriously check out NH then. we're the only state in the northeast that could go either way during elections and actually mean it when we say that we value our "live free or die" motto...something I can't say about our neighbors in Massachusetts, VT or Maine
  10. it'd be a no brainer for me since I drive stick I had a different problem with a fully loaded (nice leather seats, satellite radio) Ford Escape rental in 2009. On my way back to NH from Toronto, while going downhill on route 9 in VT the car shuts down on me while I'm doing 75mph. When I say shut down, I mean the dash lights all turned off and my hydraulics disappeared so stepping on the brakes did very little to stop the car. Rather than pee my pants, which I'm surprised I didn't do because this is a curvy downhill at a full 75 mph, I put the car into neutral, turned the key to the off position and then back on again. Nothing happened so I repeated the process. The second time I turned that key, I made a mistake and turned the wheel slightly also as I mentioned, this was a curvy road and the damn steering wheel locked into place. I remember getting ready to panic then when the dash lights all turned on and after jiggling the wheel when the key was in the On position, the wheel unlocked as well. Hydraulics were restored and somehow the engine also turned, which I didn't think you could do in an automatic as I thought you could only push start manuals. If it wasn't for this particular instance, I might be driving an F150 right now instead of the Tacoma.
  11. oh yeah...and NH unless you're going to come here and vote for democrats and high taxes...those are the only dickwads that want to implement a sales tax and income tax...
  12. the booze tax may look high, however the price of alcohol is still cheaper than any other place I've been to in the US. I have friends from NY and MA that make bootlegging runs to NH for the cheap booze. The state of NH runs their own liquor stores so I guess the extra bit they charge in tax is equivalent to the profit a private store makes in profit. Property taxes? That was the first thing state residents told me when I moved to NH. "Yeah, we have no income or sales tax, but property taxes will getcha!" I look at my tax bill and just laugh...those fools have never lived in NYS. My house in NH is worth 3x what my house in Rochester, NY was, however I pay the exact same amount in property tax (actually, NH is a few hundred cheaper).
  13. how hard is it to put the car into neutral and then pull over onto the side of the road? seriously... that said, even though Tacomas aren't on the list, I am a little bummed that I picked one up in late December rather than right now as I could've probably got an even better deal...
  14. ocean, mountains, skiing, lake Winnipesaukee, no income tax, no sales tax welcome to NH
  15. now this would be worth Charlie Gibson's time...
  16. I'm watching Countdown with Keith Olbermann just to watch the butthurt. Olbermann, Matthews and Maddow squirming away...
  17. Looks like Obama is going 0-4 (NJ, VA, Chicago Olympis and now Coakley)
  18. I've also made peace with the Buffalo Bills. By moving out of WNY, my weekends are more productive since I don't have to watch the team get their asses blown out. I also do not want my son to grow up and suffer the way I have... Still a Sabres fan and watch Center Ice.
  19. I'm not buying dick from Government Motors ever again. Ford makes some very nice vehicles now, but I agree, the Ford Flex is kind of unsightly. Subaru has overtaken Toyota to be the #2 most reliable car maker according to consumer reports. My wife has an Outback and I gotta say that thing handles great. My coworkers at work have both the Highlander and the Tribeca. I'd say the Tribeca drives better but the Highlander has a better 3rd row (coworker has 4 kids, 15 years, 14 years, 12 years and 8 years old).

  21. I know the fans will keep coming back for more punishment regardless of what happens this weekend...
