Once you win so much and lose it all then losing don't hurt anymore!! Winning isn't as exciting either haha. Zags just torched a few nice parlays that I had brewing with Xavier ML, WV, ETC. I'm still confident about the Gators taking a big duece on em' tonight thought. Wings and beer, wings and beer, and a pile of cash let's goooo

Wheres the market for Zach Brown?
CommonCents replied to PirateHookerMD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hightower came up 3-5 million short on what he thought he would get... I wonder what ZB is looking at, 6 per? 15 guaranteed or maybe less. Teams are really getting tough on ILB value. -
Good stuff, thanks for sharing. I remember him playing for GT, not sure why! It must have been pretty neat to work in that environment.

I could go either way at QB, I'm not a Taylor guy but with the restructure I'm fine with him being here in the short term. I hope they address the position as they would if he had left. If I was investing money in seasons and going to the games every other week I would prefer keeping Taylor instead of going to see a Brian Hoyer type play.

He did a bunch of stuff for the inner city parks, seemed like a really genuine guy. I forget who aired that show. I wasn't ever a fan of his until I saw that show and I wish they would cover more guys. It's easy to say _________ is a good guy and he does charitable work but it's a different level when you see them doing it and get a taste of their personality. As a sports junkie I eat that stuff up.

Hey EJ wait a second!!!! Wait wait wait!!! You forgot Doug Whaley, please take him with you.

You have no idea? I think it's because if you kick out the floor at QB there is a much better chance the team is unwatchable and plenty of season ticket holders would be wasting money. Sure they could have replaced TT and hoped for a DAk like performance which would salvage the season...but most likely it's going to be ugly.

One of the best guys in the NFL. For anyone that hasn't seen the documentary on Barwin in Philly it's worth a watch.

Over/Under for wins this season.

Bovada has them at 100-1 to win the super bowl, only 4 teams have worse odds. They haven't released regular season win totals but I will update when they do. With a new coach and roster turnover id venture to guess it comes in at 6.5 -
I don't live in the camp that thinks BB can endure all. This move would couple with the Hightower signing for things I wanted to see happen to hasten their decline. Once Brady's inevitable decline begins it will be harder to mask all their personnel decisions. The secondary took a major step back, Cooks is a deep threat- why trade for this guy? Brady's arm will decline sooner than later, Joe Montana in KC...Brandon Cooks running deep what a waste.

Still a ways to go I wouldn't be surprised if the Saints throw in a 4th-5th as well.

Butler to the Saints sounds like it is getting done today, everything I hear says its for the 32nd pick. That's a downgrade at CB! Logan Ryan and Butler gone and now Gilmore is in!

2017 NFL Mock Drafts & Top Prospects
CommonCents replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in College Football
Guess who spent extra time working with Cunningham today!!? The hoodie. That sexy little fox of his needs to give him more attention and keep him away from the draft stockpile. -
He didn't do enough good things on the field and it ended up costing him big bucks at the table during contract talks. Isn't that the long and short of it? It doesn't take a bunch of hand picked stats to be objective and see where TT ended up. Do we really have folks under the belief that TT handed the organization a double digit discount (10 mil) out of the kindness of his heart? What other player in any sport has ever given up half of his guaranteed money in the prime of his career, this player also has to have made minimal money through his career.

He is talented and apparently very immature, I'm fine with then using a visit to confirm this first hand. Maybe a favor to Jim. I would consider it a waste to meet with a kid with a spotless background and a mid round draft grade. Swing for the fences, same thing I said about Nkemdiche last year. Some guys are so talented you need to find out where their head is at and place a value on them. Guys with that type of talent never get taken off the board.
-
Why wouldn't you meet with a guy like Chad Kelly? He seems to have all the physical traits to be successful. Apparently his head is scrambled eggs...wouldn't it be wise to talk to him and get a first hand evaluation on this young man? Meeting with these kids is the biggest advantage the scouts and GM's have.

Revis says he will play for vet minimum
CommonCents replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm guessing between last season and his offseason embarrassment maybe he wants to chase a redemption story? I don't want him here nor do I think he would come, he will chase a ring somewhere. If Butler leaves NE then he could go there, Steelers etc. Ring chasing. He is still getting paid bonus money right? -
I'm keeping Evans over Julio this year. Evans is going to be the best WR in the NFL soon enough. Williams had so many contested catches in college, if it wasn't a tight back shoulder throw it was a wide open bomb. He scares me, I don't see the separation of an elite WR. I know that is becoming a lazy mention for Williams but even if you just watch his highlights it stands out.
