I see it a different way. I think he has to take a QB, and take one early. Whaley and company just pushed Taylor towards a bridge deal, that bridge needs to lead somewhere and fast. Doug is fortunate to have another chance, part of that is Rex being such a clown and the Pegula's probably harbor some guilt for their role in the hiring. Just my opinion of course but so far so good. Bridge deal = QB at 10. Whaley has another shot, he would be a fool to keep the bullet in the chamber. -
For any animal lovers...check out Beary Tales on Netflix. A guy raises two abandon bear cubs. They are pretty amazing animals, it's worth the hour watch.

Lydon left? He looked better last year too. Career suicide or something wrong at SU or both.

NFL to eliminate some commercials

What is the Mike and Mike show? Right Alex? -
Right. Let's survey a crowd dominated by drinking age males and their companions and use that to shape our buisness model. Take that same survey and have every household take it and the results would be different. I already said I wouldn't care if it was me and my buddies, it's hilarious to me. Not so funny for other folks though and I don't think it's hard to see why. As I said earlier if they aren't cracking down on players where would it end up? Most of it is harmless fun but you can be sure it would get offensive to some folks and the NFL is simply protecting their product. Let's be realistic no one is going to stop watching because they don't allow celebrations and certain players will still do it anyways.

Thanks. Sounds like the commercial breaks will be less frequent but 30 seconds longer? That's more time to get a beer and check the stove. 4 breaks per quarter instead of 5/6. It sucked as it was so I welcome the change. -
I have to be that guy....really?? No one else gets annoyed when Antonio Brown is twerking infront of their kids, nieces and nephews? The NFL wouldn't have to make stupid rules if stupid players didn't keep pushing the line further and further... Sure twerking would be hilarious if it was just adults watching...one week he jumps balls first into the FG post...then he's twerking...if the league wasn't fining him and cracking down on it what the hell else would he be doing?

I forget exactly what Goddell said but if you can find the presser from super bowl week or any follow up that might help. Some radio guys suggested different things they would do to reduce the amount of actual commercials. Some of it had to do with half screen ads after touchdowns and extra points and never actually cutting away for a commercial break. -

Hard to say anything bad about Ramsey on that play, pretty good coverage if he tracked the ball a little better he could have made a play before Sammy got the leverage. The thing that stands out most, perfect freaking throw. -

Goddell mentioned this during his Super Bowl presser, I'm surprised more folks aren't excited about it. -

He also returned a couple punts for touchdowns. He was as electric of a player as I can remember at any level. He was a one man gang. -
I'm sold that they are picking Watson if he is available. I said all along Rex and TT took the heat for last seasons failure and the benching/bridge contract are a sign of an organization that doesn't believe in their QB. Watson is everything EJ wasn't, his team won because of him, EJ's lost because of him. Mahomes seems to be a little less polished coming out. Kizer represents too much of what failed with Manuel (perfect QB body without the results). The more I think about it the more I think it's Watson, I don't love it but I will remain hopeful if it happens. The bridge needs to lead somewhere and this is my best guess.

Nothing nefarious, but his reports jump around quite a bitand I think he enjoys the attention it generates. He is an NFL employee right? So I suppose that's all part of his job. I do often wonder, what if Mike Mayock had a top 32 sheet under his pillow, would look the same as the ones we see? At certain times I think he just plain ole gets excited about a player and fools himself. Peppers is a recent example of that. I'm not bashing Mayock I think it's par for the course, he is a great analyst and all knowing but the science is far from exact. -
Whaley has done one heck of a job, except QB
CommonCents replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hated the Ragland pick but this conversation is about value. In what world do you trade up for a falling ILB and expect to get proper value in return? The board shaped up really well for the Bills as the second round sorted itself out and Whaley lost his patience. Of course Doug goes on to say that Lawson and Ragland were 1 and 2 on his board though so who knows. -

They traded up from 49 to 41 to take Ragland. Deion Jones was selected 52. Give me Jones and two fourth round picks please.
