Think McD and Rivera will play some very vanilla defense tomorrow night.

Shady, Zeke, Bell, DJ, Hunt, Gordon, Freeman, Gurley, Saquan, Guice, Fournette, Henry. All those guys should be penciled in for 230 carries at a minimum if healthy. Penny, Royce, Chubb and others could easily break that number as well. Teams seemed to be going away from running backs a few years ago but the last couple drafts seemed to have reversed that a bit. It could be due to the amount of talented guys coming out, who knows. Is that true? Marshawn, Shady, Gore, Peterson are all doing the 10 year thing. I don’t think we will see many more Marcus Allen type of careers but 10 isn’t that rare.

Has anyone ever traded two first round picks for an NFL player? Obviously it happens during the draft, I just don’t remember a team getting a haul like that for a guy already in the league.

Sympathetic figure? He is getting roasted by the overwhelming majority of the board for being a jack ass. He came here on a minimal deal as a reclamation project, his situation is in no way comparable to Dareus. Nice try.

Worth mentioning it’s easier to bench the veteran and go to the rookie. If Allen starts the season and plays poorly it could shake his confidence a bit if the team needs to bench him. I’m not for coddling the QB but I could see why they might trot out Peterman/AJM for a few weeks.

I just hope Allen lights it up Thursday and gets that starting job sooner than later. That way I don’t have to spend my Sundays wondering if I could have thrown a better ball than AJM or Peterman.

Allen coming with the third team in the first preseason game, I hope he gets the entire second half out there. Give the other two one quarter each. Then move Allen up and split first team reps with the winner of Peterman/AJM with the lead up to the 2nd game. If Allen is horrendous vs. Carolina’s third string he continues to take 3rd team reps while the other spilt heading into the 2nd game.

Have you ever considered that people might not like his actions on the field or on the sidelines? I’m sure that turns off many more folks fans than does the color of his skin. If Josh Allen starts acting like Superman after every good play and then putting a towel over his head when things get tough I won’t like him either.

I agree. For the average Joe’s out there going for a jog or tossing around the DUKE being hydrated and doing some stretching is usually enough. We have seen guys like Larry Fitz pull his hammy, elite athletes doing crazy things with their bodies isn’t foolproof. Guys that have motivation problems do seem to suffer these types of problems at a higher rate though. Coleman may have been that guy, a change of scenery could serve him well.

Seeing some talk that he pulled his hamstring on Saturday. For the risk/reward it still doesn’t matter much if true.

When you’re trading for potential you offer a late round pick. Well done Beane. I hope he can stay healthy and groove with Allen.
