Peters may be willing to sit all season
kasper13 replied to scribo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My big question to his agent would be "Why the hell did you sign the deal in 2006?" The answer would be 5 years, 17.5 million with an 8 million dollar bonus. That was good enough TWO years ago, he took the money and he should live with it. God forbid he has to live on that pittance for 3 more years. How he will feed his family is beyond me. If he wanted more, he should have waited. I could see if it was the last year of the contract. I can even see the point the Bills paid other OL more money. Fine, show up, play to the contract you took and the Bills will take care of you next year. I'd play hardball with him if I were Bills management. Not only is he signed for three more years, the Bills can franchise him for two years after that. Go ahead and sit out and the Bills still have him for 5 more years if they want. Better yet, he should quit altogether and he can go make $17.5 over the next 5 years in whatever field he has his College Degree in. Basket Maker pays big bucks these days. He is just trying to take advantage of the fact that the Bills may be playoff contenders this year with him at LT. This whole thing sucks big time. Just another greedy athlete putting himself ahead of the team. -
Judge rules against Seneca Nation on Buffalo casino
kasper13 replied to taterhill's topic in Off the Wall Archives
In other words, there goes $333 million that was going to be invested in downtown Buffalo. There goes 1,100 jobs that were to be created and now we will have a 9 acre vacant lot downtown. Actually, the vacant lot will fit in pefectly. All due to 12 people against casino gambling that filed the lawsuit. Some big politicians were involved in the lawsuit- former County Executive and current lobbyist Joel Giambra, Arthur Eve and Sam Hoyt among others. Way to go douchebags. -
For Some Reason, I Can't Remember
kasper13 replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I felt the exact same way. So much so, I went and bought a VCR/DVD Recorder combo and 100 blank DVD's, dug out my old VHS Tape Collection and am transferring games from VHS to DVD. First one I did was the 1988 Bills-Jets game when the Bills Clinched the East and the fans ripped the goalposts down (I was one of them). I discovered I also taped all the local news reports for two days after. Talk about bringing back a flood of memories. The beginning of the glory days. Can't believe it's almost 20 years ago. I'll go through all the early 90's playoff games next. Only games I don't have are the Super Bowls. Funny I didn't save those. To this day, the only two plays I have ever seen (for a 2nd time) of all 4 SB's are the replays of the Norwood miss and the Beebe-Lett play. I forgot how much I was into the Bills back then, even when they were 2-14. I still watch/go to every game, training camp, preseason and whatever else but it hasn't seemed the same for awhile. Not since the "Music City Fraud" I think. Now with all this Toronto crap and the Lynch thing. We need new glory days. Oh well, I'll just watch the 51-3 blowout of the Raiders or the 41-38 Wild Card comeback against the Oilers and all will be right in Bills land for a few hours anyway. -
ESPN's draft coverage was atrocious
kasper13 replied to Tim Anderson's Lunch Pail's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't like anything about Day One. ESPN and/or the NFL think they know what's best for the fans and they end up ruining EVERYTHING. I don't know who decided to push the start back to 3pm but that was a bad idea. They had the first 6 picks done and reported before the draft even started. 10 minutes in the first round was another bad idea. Hardcore fans love the draft and love the first round round. Why shorten it? Only two rounds on Day One, yet another bad idea. The whole thing felt rushed. Too many commentators talking over each other, talking over the picks, late with highlights, too many commercials especially with the shorter time frame and after the first few trades they didn't have time to even bother mentioning all of the others. I always look forward to the draft and was very disappointed by it yesterday. It looked to me like everyone on ESPN got dressed in a dark closet with $10 suits purchased at the Salvation Army Clearance Sale. -
4th Round Selection: Reggie Corner CB, Akron
kasper13 replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tom Donahoe drafting today? I don't think they know what they are doing. "Hmmm......Corner is a Corner? He must be good. Take him." How do they not take a TE there? -
DiPietro suffered two concussions in 12 days and hasn't played in three weeks. He has practiced exactly once in that time frame and that was today. Go ahead and play him in a playoff game and we will see what happens. The Islanders are grasping at straws already. Nolan said his team can't really try and go for offense because the Sabres are too fast and dangerous in the transition game, so they have to sit back and think defense first. Maybe they will open it up if DiPietro is back. Should be interesting.

If the Bills would have spent $170 million and kept McGahee, Clements, Spikes & Fletcher one guy would have said we "way overpaid for marginal talent mostly on the downside of their careers" and one guy would have said "They were all great moves" Last year the experts said the Bills draft was horrible and this year they are saying the Bills 06' Draft was great. The so-called experts are all really morons. Way too much airtime, internet and blog space to fill. Nothing any of these idiots say should matter to anyone.

Will me miss Fletcher and Spikes as much as Milloy and Vincent
kasper13 replied to Ray's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do not miss either Vincent or Milloy so..... no. Spikes & Fletcher are old and past their prime. They will not be missed. -
Bryant=Headcase means the Bills would never sign him. Rattay, Carr, ect.- Bills will draft a 3rd QB on the 2nd day of the draft and develop him. They are not wasting a nickle more than they have to on a 3rd QB. Think "What Would Marv Do?" I should have T-Shirts made.
-
Another big hunk of worthless crap the Bills do not need to waste money on. The Bills are rebuilding with YOUTH and CHARACTER. Arrington fits neither category. That would be a TD signing. Bills would have been better off keeping Spikes or Fletcher if they were even thinking of Arrington- which they are not. You have to ask yourself "What would Marv Do?" when it comes to signing and drafting players and think along those lines. Same reasons why they aren't wasting tons or money and draft picks on Lance Briggs.

Bills Busts 1. Mike Williams 2. Gary Marangi. Allegedly the 2nd coming of Kenny Stabler and a big favorite of Ralph Wilson. When Joe Ferguson got hurt in 1976 and Marangi got his shot, he was Billy Joe Hobert Bad and was out of the league by 1977. 3. Busty Underwood- 13th Round/316th Overall in 1971. He never made it and I still do not know why. He was worthy of at least a 12th round pick that year. All-Time 1. Ryan Leaf 2. Tony Mandarich 3. Brian Bosworth

Jared Zabransky from Boise State. Projected 4th-5th Round Pick. Ranked in the top 10 QB's for this draft. Projected as a solid backup NFL QB. Bills new assistant OL coach was the Boise State Assistant Head Coach last season. There's your third QB.

Dont throw away those McGahee Jerseys yet!!
kasper13 replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Buffalo Cops don't work Bills games. Erie County Sheriffs and Private Security does. You are all set if you want to throw your McGahee jersey on the field. Weigh it down with a hot dog or a golf ball first so it will reach the field. -
Its Darwin Walker for Spikes and Kelly
kasper13 replied to seq004's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the trade. If Spikes wouldn't have blow that achillies, I would have disliked this trade immensley but he was just not the same player. Virtually non-existent when he was in there last year. Time to move on. I was a little worried when I saw Walker's website. It says he is "Engineered for Carnage" and has a list of his "Casualties". Fortunatley, the list was just of the QB's he has sacked in his career. Pretty crazy. Bills fans should like him. -
Could this trade signal a possible deal
kasper13 replied to Cornerville's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's the kind of deal Tom Donahoe would go and do. The Bills are not spending more than real salary cap. No way they give up their 12th overall pick and then pay a LB over $7 million a season with a huge bonus. It's just not going to happen. Why did they get rid of Spikes? $4.5 million was too much for him and DT was more of a need position. They got a DT and saved over $3 million in real cap space. We all have to ask "What would Marv do?" and realize it's not trading away a high 1st rounder for Briggs. -
I guess Marv finally went 100% senile then. He and TO are going to pick up Tank at prison in the Bluesmobile. Beyond ridiculous. That rumor gives rumors a bad name.

Most- Jim Kelly Least- Ronnie Harmon

I have been to every Bills Home game (except two) since 1976 and have watched College & NFL Football every weekend for the last 30 seasons. I have forgotten more about football than you will ever know. I don't care if you have 190,000 posts. If you don't know me, don't call me a know-nothing fan. OL drafted in the Top 10 doesn't happen very often and when it does it is usually a waste of a pick.
-
If Brady Quinn is on the board when the Bills pick and they do not take him, I will never watch a Bills game again. The can take OL with their 2nd through 7th picks. They need a QB. The Bills have not had a good QB since Jim Kelly retired and it shows in the results year after year. Offensive Lineman are hardly ever drafted in the first round and even more rarely in the Top 10 of the 1st round. Since 2001, a grand total of 22 OL have been drafted in the 1st round. Only 7 were taken in the Top 10. SEVEN in the last SIX drafts and only THREE since 2003!!!!!. People want to waste a Top 5 or Top 10 pick on an OL? That is just nuts.

How long until these players want out?
kasper13 replied to generaLee83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Forget the players. How long before the fans want out? No Playoffs since 1999. No Playoff Win Since 1995. One Winning Season since 2000. Since the last playoff appearance..... 2000- 8-8 2001- 3-13 2002- 8-8 2003- 6-10 2004- 9-7 2005- 5-11 2006- 3-6 Last 6 Seasons- 30-55 Last 7 Seasons- 42-63 The last playoff memory we have is "Home Run Throwback". When is enough going to be enough? All I hear is how JP is OK, they played a close game, they have moral victories and stick with them or you are an idiot. The Bills suck and have sucked for 7 years now. The optimists are wearing blinders. -
right now we pick 6th in the draft ...
kasper13 replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The first and only thing the Bills need to do in the 1st round is draft a QB. If the Bills are drafting and Brady Quinn is sitting there, they sure as hell better take him. Anyone who thinks the Bills biggest problem isn't at QB is just a fool. Good QB's make average OL's look great- Example #1- Tom Brady. Quinn has had two years w/ Charlie Weiss. He will be NFL ready from day one. Arizona doesn't need a QB, so the Bills need to be at least in the top 5 to get Quinn. I hope they do lose the rest of their games. What good is 5-11 or 6-10 going to do? No good at all. It's sad that it has come to this point of being of a Bills fan. Hoping and wanting them to lose so they get a good QB in the draft. Another season pissed away. -
Next year we need to develop an offensive identity
kasper13 replied to bluv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are right. It's not going to be with JP Losman though. He is useless. Get Brady Quinn and then you can talk about an offensive identity. -
Why do people still support Jp?
kasper13 replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I support JP. Play him every game the rest of the way. The only shot the Bills have at a real QB is in the draft and they need to lose every game the rest of the way to have a shot at one. The Bills should be 6-3 and in first place. The only reason they are not is the QB. He is not an answer to anything except why the Bills are 3-6. Look at what guys like Rivers, Romo, Palmer & Brees are doing- tons of yards, lots of TD's and winning games. Losman isn't doing anything but costing the Bills wins. -
They gave this game to the Colts. The Bills are one player away from being 6-3 and in first place in the AFC East. That player is a QB. The ONLY positive is that they did lose the game. The more they lose, the better the chance at getting a real QB in the draft.
