I've said to others that I felt that South Park was the All in the Family of our times. Certainly a different framework of show but they go after every controversial topic, no holds barred. Part of the probelm with doing a full re-boot of All in the Family would be finding an actor willing to be Carroll O'Connor. Those are HUGE shoes to fill. Sort of like there won't be a Mama's Family because nobody will want to try to one-up Carol Burnett.

I don't think "liberals" fail to realize what you think they fail to realize. Quite honestly I think a show like that today would do fabulously. Maybe not on broadcast TV, but somewhere in the vast realm of entertainment broadcasting. Audiences would love to laugh at a character like that right now. Not with him because he is right, but AT him because he was so incredibly wrong and behind the times. Just like they did in the 1970's.

Your grandparents might have moved from Sicily but given the sheer number of times Sicily has been conquered and held by different groups along with it's positioning along so many major trade routes I think it's extremely that your DNA is a very interesting mishmash. Mine is similar. My great grandparents were from Cornwall, Norway, and Poland. Given that Vikings went all over Gods green Earth and Slavic peoples are subject to influences from all over the place, and the Cornish were conquered multiple times as well including by the Romans it's REALLY unlikely that my DNA will pop up as purely Northern European.

This I agree with. They brought him here intentionally and he's been crap. IMO he was the biggest counter argument to the whole "culture" commentary. Before we go too far off the reservation here look at the behavior of the fans who were in arms reach of Fournette during his fracas. Nobody did squat. If you're going to taunt the fans on your way off the field after getting ejected for fighting and you get hit with one empty beer can I think you've gotten off pretty lightly. This doesn't mean people SHOULD throw things at him but if you are going to incite the behavior then you need to accept what you receive to some extent.
