I get the sentiment. I guess the thought is that they'd have ended up with him anyway more than likely. At least this way we get something out of it. and that is where we differ.

I think Easley is on the PS before Sills.

Hey, you want to let the NBA cash in on you go right ahead. Buy a jersey for a team that no longer exists and was stolen from your city. I'm guessing that the Toronto Bills would have been OK with you?
-
We get it, you don't. Clever response.

A. I'm pretty sure the owner is fully insured. B. It's an f'ing golf course - get over it The shame is that in order for that tiny piece of universal karma to happen people in West Palm Beach and several other much less well off places will get destroyed as well and they won't have the resources to that the owner of mar-a-lago does and I'm pretty certain that the owner of mar-a-lago doesn't give a damn about them to help them either so it would be best if that didn't happen. So, yeah, hurricanes are bad and I don't want people's stuff destroyed or for them to die. I don't think the owner of mar-a-lago will be overly inconvenienced either way.

Sometimes it can be.

and he wouldn't have been had they not been screwing the team over. that's my point. https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/news/2016/05/07/whatever-happened-buffalo-braves/84047660/

Because.

That doesn't mean that the method they lost the team was ultimately acceptable. Buffalo lost the Braves so Boston could keep the Celtics. Hooray. Not for nothing, but if that team wasn't intentionally broken up and sold off for parts they could have won a title. They had 3 NBA Hall of Fame players in McAdoo, Dantley and Moses Malone and this was the NBA before Magic and Bird. It's Major League only the rich jackass owner succeeds in the end. It's a pre-season game. You think they're gonna play? How many minutes? NBA teams sit stars in the REGULAR season let alone the pre-season. You get to see the bench and the future D-League in action.
-
So why should we encourage the NBA to come to Buffalo with an inferior product, in an obvious money grab, to pull at nostalgia? The NBA didn't give a rat's ass about Buffalo and it still doesn't. F them and they horses in on which they rode.

No they shouldn't.

Mar-A-Lago is pretty near the center of that track. It would be a damned shame if that got wiped of the face of the Earth.

So is Blazing Saddles. PG doesn't mean even remotely the same thing before 1984. Consider PG on old movies to minimally be PG-13 and often the same as modern R. Edit: To clarify, the rating system has changed several times and the way things are rated now doesn't resemble what it did in the 70's. Old movies have not been re-rated using the modern scale so if you are browsing PG comedies and see the likes of Slap Shot and Blazing Saddles next to the The Secret Life of Pets and The Angry Birds Movie don't expect the content to be in the same ballpark of appropriateness for children - parentally guided or not.

I'm confused. If the league conspired to screw Buffalo out of a team, in order to keep another team in a city where they wanted it, you'd pay money to that franchise ever again? Let's say Bob Kraft wanted to move the Patriots to San Diego the NFL then brokered a deal between Pegula and Kraft wherein they'd trade franchises. Pegula gets the Pats and keeps them in Boston, Kraft gets the Bills and moves them to San Diego. You'd be ok with that at some point in the future? That's exactly what happened with the Braves. I don't watch the NBA. I don't give them 1 dollar. Hell, I don't even eat Kentucky Fried Chicken because of John Y. Brown's scumbaggery in that sordid episode.

#1. Charlotte has an NFL team #2. Birmingham, Columbus, Nashville, and OKC are firmly in college football territory. It is beloved. They don't lack for football. #3. Las Vegas will have the Raiders shortly #4. Portland, frankly, I don't think gives a damn. -

Trying to muster up some feeling for PEDboy. Failing, sorry. -
That's true, and they are under the roster limit. I just look at other guys they have IR'd like Mike Love. Didn't need to do that this week either.

Not yet though I wouldn't be shocked if this happened. I think the moves will start trickling in tomorrow around noontime after coaches look at film and meet. It may come in multiple waves and some might not come down until Saturday. Guys teams are trying to trade will be held longer. Guys they want back on PS could go at any time. Sometimes teams hold them to the end, sometimes teams put them out there early. Deadline to be at 53 is Saturday at 4pm

They could have done it already if that's what they were going to do.
-
We still need a punter, that is certain. Whether they go vet or talented rookie remains to be seen. I think if they were interested in Allen they'd have pulled the trigger already.

Tonight was very special for some of our players

There are ways to win PS games that are bad. If we played 1s, 2s, or even 3s well into this game for example. or game planned a ton, or blitzed a ton. That's not what happened. They played their usual vanillaish game with the guys they should have been using and the game was won by a couple guys making individual plays, not because of scheme or lopsided talent on the field. Kyle Peko made 2 great individual plays on 3rd downs to get the ball back, Murphy's PR, even the GW drive. It was a scramble, a screen pass with penalty yards tacked on, and a square in. Nothing crazy, just well executed. The previous games the staff obviously had a plan and Beane alluded to it. They threw a lot intentionally weeks 1 and 2, ran a lot week 3. They didn't deviate from that plan regardless of the score in those games. Starters played appropriate amounts and, for the most part, the games were won by the backups (and in some cases the deeeep backups) That's fine with me. You want those guys to not be terrible and you want everyone balling out when they are on the field trying to win. Does it mean anything for week 1 that we won tonight? Not at all, but I like the way they did it. -
Yarbrough will be on a roster no later than week 2.
