  1. The Penalties are stupid drive killing mistakes that are hurting the offense! Where's the discipline? The lack of building a power run game with two really good RBs. Singletarty averaging 6.3 Yards per carry average! Gore 8 carries. Singletary 3 carries...meanwhile the Eagles rushed 41 times for 218 yards. WTF! Good thing Matt Miliano was back as he led the team in tackles with 13 TOT, 10 solo. Dumbell needs to stop making the QB the focal point of the offense and run that damn ball!
  2. Gosh Darn Josh Allen... he allowed 31 points today and he couldn't stop the run!!! And, he didn't block very well for the Bills run game!!! Not only that, just because he led the team in rushing doesn't mean the OC didn't call enough run plays in the rain...what a...
  3. Eagles pounding that Bills run D...kinda sad
  4. Pederson is giving Daboll a lesson on how to design run plays...
  5. I dunno, I get this feeling that father time will finally catch up with Brady near the end of this season or perhaps an injury. I can see all five of those teams giving the Patriots trouble and perhaps even Miami. I can dream can't I?
  6. I dunno about that. The Patriots play Cleveland this week and after that it could get tough for them They play @ Baltimore, @ Philly, Dallas at NE, @ Houston, KC at NE, @ Cincy, Buffalo at NE, Miami at NE That looks to be a tougher schedule than Buffalo's with five teams with winning records on it and the Bills only play three. Like the Bills, the Pats have played a bunch of losing teams so far. Buffalo has a real chance to take the division
  7. Yep, so far. Not saying much though with a negative 15 point differential. 171 PF -186 PA The Eagles are in disarray with a very bad secondary...provided they don't get their injured DBs back for this game. Plus they don't have WR DeSean Jackson. Seven Eagle starters DNP this week and two of them OTs. The teams the Eagles have beaten, Redskins, Packers and Jets. On another note. Upcoming games against 3-4 Eagles, 1-7 Redskins, 0-6 Miami, 2-4 Cleveland, 2-5 Denver, 2-4 Steelers, 1-5 Jets...Bills 7-0 against these 7 teams with losing records? However, the Bills play the NFC East leading Cowboys 4-3 on Turkey day, the AFC North leading 5-2 Ravens on 12/8 and the 7-0 Patriots at NE TBD. 12-4 or better a real possibility?
  8. Of course the HC and staff want to win as their jobs depend on it. Its the GM and owner who decide to tank. The most obvious tank was the Colts for Luck! Their OC retired just weeks before the season and they decided to bring in a new vet QB just weeks before the season who had no clue about their offensive scheme. Polian lost his job... but they got their guy! Seems ironic to me that they fired the GM who tanked them and picked the right guy...then hired a boob GM who didn't understand the concept of building a decent O line to protect that rookie. The thing is, even with a top 10 pick there is no guarantee that this losing team will get better until they hire that top GM, scouting staff and HC. Cleveland and Buffalo are clear examples of this. The Patriots picking in the last 10 out of 30 and going to the SB year after year proves the draft isn't all that important as some think it is.
  9. All regular season games are important and this is a against a team that is reeling at 3-4. Especially after their HC says they will beat the Cowboys and the get trounced. The Eagles offense is mediocre as is their defense. Offense 14th PF, 23rd Yards. Defense 24th PA, 18th yards allowed. This team has some fans thinking that they should have kept Foles.
  10. I truly believe it's Josh Allen that is making Brian Deboll look half way decent as an OC. Look at last season as Daboll was so intent on making his offense work he called for more deep passing plays more often then any other NFL team. And, he did that with Peterman and Barkley too. Calling for deep passing plays when you are fielding the very worst offensive line when those deep passes take 3-5 step drops which requires more then 2-3 seconds in the pocket...which no Bills QB had consistently. Kinda stupid IMO. When Josh proved his potential as a runner escaping for his life behind that bad line, then Daboll put in QB run plays. This season the offense is doing better but this OC has Allen starting the game throwing which is exactly what you shouldn't be doing with a young, inexperienced QB still learning his craft. Frank Gore is averaging 4.5 yards per carry, Yeldon is also averaging 4.5 yards per carry, Singletary is averaging 9.0 yards per carry. Gore also leads the Bills rush game in broken tackles. Last game the Bills started the first series with Gore gaining 8 yards and on 2nd down and 2, the next two plays are passes, why? Josh has started almost every game coming out stumbling with passes first against all sorts of different defensive looks. Thus making this inexperienced QB the focal point of the offense. Why not come out running and when the defense moves to stop the run it opens up the lanes behind them. That first drive in the second half of the Miami game the Bills came out running with 3 straight run plays for 22 yards and finished up a 98 yard drive with 6 runs, 6 passes for a TD and a 2 point conversion. They even overcame a -10 yard holding penalty on that drive. Allen went 6 for 6 on that drive.
  11. Of course Beane is looking... as he is always looking at every position. He was probably looking at Sanders, Sanu too. These aren't the droids you are looking for...move along.
  12. Like GunnerBill stated, this is an offense that usually comes out passing. Now, consider that WR John Brown has stated that this current Buffalo Bills offense is the most complex offense he has been involved with. There is a real reason as to why Josh Allen comes out stumbling most games. Its because the offense is on his shoulders to make plays. At this point in his development he should be part of an offensive scheme and not the focal point of making things happen. The Bills say they don't want Allen to play "hero ball" and yet that's exactly what he usually needs to do to win the game with the comebacks in the second half of many games this year. (If he wasn't knocked out of the game by the Patriots cheap shot, some say he could have had another comeback win.) My point being, is the Bills defense is ranked currently #3 overall and would look even better with a run first offensive scheme that led the NFL in rushing like it did under Roman and Lynn in 2015-2016. The Bills now have a QB that isn't afraid to throw it to a receiver unless that receiver is wide open. They now have a solid offensive line that is perhaps better all around then what they have fielded since the 90's. They just need to fix the mental errors so they stop shooting themselves in the foot with stupid penalties. This line looks to have some road grading monsters that does so well when they absolutely need to... Like at the end of the Titans game where they played keep away for four minutes! That final drive went left end Frank Gore for -1 yards, and they didn't give up the run game after that negative run. Next play, TJ Yeldon off RG for 11 yards! Frank Gore up the middle for 11 yards. Frank Gore left end 19 yards. Frank Gore left tackle 4 yards. Frank Gore up the middle for 3 yards. Josh Allen off left end for a first down, Kneel, kneel. Thing of beauty for four min to win the game!! Yes, this team is 5-1 and Yes, is in the hunt for a WC. Although, like i said they are squeaking by against the scrub teams when they should be dominating them. I feel this offense would have more passing yards if they ran to setup the pass. Lets not forget that this offense is the best offense Brian Daboll has ever fielded and it would be even better if he realized he doesn't have an elite QB throwing it. He has a young, talented inexperienced QB still learning his craft. P.S. Go back and look at that 4th quarter performance against the Patriots by Matt Barkley. In less then around 10 min of playing time Barkley was sacked, intercepted, called for delay of game, fumbled and the O line had a false start. It's not just Josh Allen.
  13. I agree with this. My take is Daboll attempts out think everyone with his pass first offense, and this is still a very raw, inexperienced QB under center that shouldn't have the offense put on his shoulders by passing first. If this team had Greg Roman, Anthony Lynn as OC and the team was leading the NFL in rushing like they did for a few years under them. I think this years team with the current defense would be blowing out these scrub teams instead of squeaking by them. If that were the case the next five games the 3-4 Eagles, 1-6 Redskins, 2-4 Browns, 0-6 Dolphins, 2-5 Broncos wouldn't even be a question. The Cowboys, Ravens and Patriots would be the only real challenges on the schedule...and even then!
  14. Look at the Dolphins game. Passing first puts all the pressure to make plays on the QB... which really is the not smart thing to do with a young, inexperienced QB. The Bills started that first series with an 8 yard Gore run and then 2 incomplete passes, JA run off RT for no gain (penalty on Ford - 10 yards), incomplete pass. While this drive eventually led to a 3 point FG. My point being Gore had an initial 8 yard run and 3 incomplete passes followed. Why not run Gore or Singletary on second and two? That first series in the second half is exactly how it should be from the start with 6 runs, 6 passes, a 98 yard drive for a TD and two point conversion. Perfection!
  15. That is basically what I'd be looking for in running first to get the defense thinking stop the run first and then move to more passing. I never mentioned more runs then passes. Proof, that, that idea will work.
  16. This offense should be about developing Josh Allen into a franchise QB while also making the offense productive. Allen is forced to dig the offense out of far, far to many holes because of dumb, stupid penalties to the tune of around 8 per game game so far. The other major issue is the play calls coming in late so the offense needs to call a time out or suffer a penalty. Its not on Allen either because this happened with Matt Barkley in there against the Patriots. I would like to see the Bills rush game more productive from the start of the game. Run to setup the pass and make teams fear that run game and when teams move up to stack the box have Allen throw behind them. This team also needs to find the deep pass to make those DBs play off the line and put the fear of god into them.
  17. 11 of 32 for 86 passing yards, 4 ints... 5 turnovers... The Patriots play the 2-4 Browns next and then the only team that has a real chance to beat them @ Baltimore! On Nov 3rd. Dallas, Houston, KC and Buffalo have a solid shot too. On a side note the Patriots play the Cowboys at home the week before the Bills play them.
  18. After 6 games the 2019 buffalo Bills are 12th worst in the NFL in penalties. 1975 plays, 51 against for 412 yards...57 flags! This means there are 20 teams better at not inducing a flag. 8.5 penalties a game is piss poor discipline. I realize that this is a relatively new group of O linemen. But this stuff can't happen against good teams or they will dig themselves a huge hole. Granted, the Bills don't play a team with a winning record until the Cowboys game 11/28. With the defense as good as it is this team should be blowing out scrub teams like they face in the next five games. With two weeks to prepare this Dolphins game was almost an embarrassing loss save for the defense getting 2x turnovers in the second half and special teams scoring a TD. The offense must fix the penalties, the late incoming play calls. The Bills fans were booing the Bills off the field in the first half for a real reason.
  19. The Bills won...and yet 9 penalties for 83 yards. ToP Miami 33:31 vs Buffalo 26:29. First downs Miami Passing 13, Buffalo 10. First downs rushing Miami 8, Buffalo 5. Total yards Mami 381, Buffalo 305. I wonder the difference if Christian Wilkens doesn't throw that punch... Those penalties remind me of a Rex Ryan team and simply shouldn't be happening on a well disciplined team. In my view the Bills are so much better than how they played against Miami. I hope they play better against the Eagles.
  20. Posted before the draft too. From April 19th 2018.
  21. That's hilarious if its him... If the Panthers don't want him anymore I'll bet a half a dozen teams would.
  22. His last year as a 49er he went 1-10 in 2016 with a QBR of 49.5. Blane Gabbert went 1-4 and had a better QBR. If anyone thought he was worth a damn he would be playing, JMO
  23. "Rosen had been terrible all day, completing 15 of 25 passes for just 85 yards, throwing two interceptions and getting sacked five times. And Fitzpatrick promptly marched the Dolphins down the field for a touchdown. So you could certainly say Flores made the right call. But benching Rosen just after anointing him the undisputed starter makes the Dolphins look incompetent." https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/10/13/dolphins-bench-josh-rosen-for-ryan-fitzpatrick/ The Dolphins getting beaten by the 0-5 Redskins Point differential Wash, 73-151. Hilarity ensues...
  24. the guy runs like 2 routes... The Bills have deep threats in John Brown who ran a 4:34 and he runs all the routes. Foster runs a 4:41 and when healthy he will be back in the lineup. Ford was projected a first round pick and he has been needed on the line. Where he ends up will be up to him but great OGs are so underrated by everyone.
  25. The guy need 300 targets to catch 100 receptions and the Bills just aren't throwing to him that often. Darn shame too as he looked like from College he could be another Jerry Rice.
