  1. That is most definitely not fake news.
  2. I find it such a non-event and you've got people tweeting him about breaking his leg at the Combine. I guess that stirs something in me. It's certainly not the smartest thing he could've done with his day but he didn't exactly Dri Archer it and say that he wouldn't play for anyone but his boyhood team. The Browns can't afford to get butthurt over this, they can't overthink it. So what if the fans hate him? Within a few weeks, he sacks Dalton and Roethlisberger and they'll forget all about it. As a fan base, they've forgot worse.
  3. He's a kid from Arlington, I absolutely buy that he'd want to play for the Cowboys. I choose to believe that, although potentially misguided (mainly because EVERYONE overthinks this ****), he's just a kid having a bit of fun. I don't see it as a slight to Cleveland necessarily because it's never going to happen, it's about the least likely scenario imaginable. When did we come to the point where we hate robotic non-answers from players AND vilify the slightest amount of character? 1) I'll disagree with Gil on that one but that's a subjective thing. I wrote something last night accusing a player of something similar so maybe some merit to it. 2) He's from Texas. I'm not surprised he doesn't like the cold. A lot of people don't. 3) Not attending the draft isn't a character issue. If you think it is, tweet Joe Thomas. He might take you fishing. 4) Misguided perhaps but not a character issue.
  4. If you want to walk away from the best player in the draft because he's a Cowboys fan and wants to play for them, you deserve to suck for eternity. "Already questionable character", what the holy hell did I miss?
  5. Why? Talking **** about the Browns is pretty much an American pastime at this point.
  6. You say that like I'm not entiirely aware already
  7. I think he's fundamentally reckless as a starting point. The good plays are more flashes than something I think you can build around. I don't deny that he's got a huge arm but he acts like he can get away with murder because of it. A positive is only a positive if it's a positive. His junior year racks up 20+ picks if his passes weren't so hard for defenders to catch. The regression that I expected to happen did happen. You can attribute it primarily to Treadwell leaving but therein lies the point. He had less talent around him to bail him out, something he needs even when he's at his very best. I buy him as being aggressive, which is a good thing. At times I think that spills over into Hero Syndrome, like a firefighter turned arsonist just to get the glory for putting the fires out. His play is borderline draftable for me. Counting in a 2nd ACL tear, that raises questions about durable and longevity, he's closer to a PFA grade. Add in the fact that I think he's a complete fruitcake, no thanks.
  8. I saw an inconsistent kid that has time to grow. I'll give him that time before I crown him or not, best I can offer you
  9. Been watching a fair bit of Zach Banner & Chad Wheeler recently so I've cast my gaze over Darnold a little. He's got talent but I'm not seeing a future 1st rounder there.
  10. I already have an avenue to completely ruin my credibility, thanks
  11. We've finally found a terrible QB that you don't love. This exercise was a success, Bandit
  12. Genuinely curious why you're sure that he'll grow up. With all the incentive in the world, he hasn't yet.
  13. Me and Rob disagree entirely on Chad. Let's just say, there's a reason this didn't fall on my to-do list
  14. My eskimo brother! Not made a bad living for himself from being a 6th rounder from UB. Coming up 31, hard to see him making another 53-man.
  15. Just might be the greatest game I've ever seen. I knew the comeback was on at halftime with the prophets of doom proclaiming Brady as dead. They really should know better.
  16. If you start caping for Elijah Lee and Jordan Willis too, I'm going to assume K-State are paying you off
  17. I'm typically not a guy that gives a damn about the Hall of Fame but it's sole purpose is to enshrine a guy like Terrell Owens. Sure, he was selfish. He was arrogant. At times, he was a goddamn nightmare. He earned the right to be that though. Best WR I've ever watched (even over Randy Moss). It's horse **** that he's not in yet.
  18. Not this guy. Was my 4th overall player last year. One of the few 1st round grades that don't look terrible after Year 1
  19. Just working through Jalen Tabor at the moment. I won't lie, there's a few plays on tape that make me think of pre-injury Ifo Ekpre-Olomu. Just a bigger, quicker version of him.
  20. Oh, Paxton. Consider me triggered. I hated that Pirates of the Caribbean knockoff looking mother!@#$er
  21. It's the face. He's far too smug for someone that average looking. I walk around downtrodden because I know I'm a solid 5. I know my place.
  22. His. !@#$ing. Nickname.
  23. The point is, how Kupp wins as a player has to match up to the strengths of the QB (the same as any other WR). As a get open early on the route type of short/intermediate guy, it's pointless investing that high a pick in him without having a QB that will consistently hit him in time, in stride and allow him to thrive. The Jarvis Landry comparison exists for the reason that both guys are who they are but you have to use them correctly to get the best version of them. If the QB isn't quick with his reads, get a WR that does well with contested catches. If he throws a good deep ball, get a great tracker.
  24. Kupp depends on the QB. I think his skill set is wasted on Tyrod. He's only worth a 2nd rounder if the team is going to feed him as a point of emphasis.
  25. I had my hopes pinned on him since New Year's Day last year. He probably thinks I'm the biggest creep on the planet by now Figured context was needed (I'm not completely stalking him. Yet) - https://twitter.com/StephenCulley/status/814557490406977536
