2017 NFL Mock Drafts & Top Prospects
Blokestradamus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in College Football
I'm not able to grab a GIF or video of my own at the moment but I saw this a little while back. This is prime "Bad Sam". Release point isn't that bad but that windup....... https://twitter.com/NflDraft_KC/status/832677551394938880 -

Biggest sticking point so far with Darnold is that throwing motion. It's Hogan/Bortles bad at times and those window throws in the NFL are picks if it doesn't tighten up. I respect the fact that he does advanced things on the field from a mental standpoint but man, that **** has gotta change. As I said, he has time so I'll allow him that. I hope he does progress, the game needs as many top QB's at it can get so I don't have to pretend Kirk Cousins is good -

Three years ago around this time, Shawn Oakman was a bona fide 1st rounder to some. Hell, McShay's mock days after the last draft had Mitch Leidner in the first round. I'd be "all in" on the kid if I thought it was warranted. From what I've seen, it's not something I buy. I understand it exists but that don't make it right. I'm the eternal optimist with QB's though so I'll give him ample chance to prove me wrong. -

I'll probably do some deep digging into him, Josh Rosen, Josh Allen, Luke Falk, Mason Rudolph, Lamar Jackson, Logan Woodside, Quinton Flowers over the summer. I'm a sucker for "there's always next year" until I watch them -
No Franchise Tag for Gilmore

Also, his 2015 season was deemed pretty decent by most people. In 2016, gave up less receptions, saw less targets, gave up less yards, less TD's, got more interceptions. Also played 3 more games than in 2015. -
It's good to see a few familiar faces. Sad as it sounds, I missed you guys (well, some of you) when the darkness fell. It should say a lot that, as a consistent victim of the banhammer at BBMB, I've been here nearly 2 years and not received so much as a polite ticking off. Just don't push your luck because you're no longer under a strict regime, that's all I'll ask. The novelties of being able to say vague and whatever will wear off pretty quickly, trust me Feel free to PM me for a catch-up or if you have any questions.

You want LSU? I'm good with Tre White or Pocic being added. If he tests well enough, I could buy Pocic at RT, dude is so long. My only hope for LSU long-term is that Arden Key returns to the game. I love that man with a passion as hot as the sun. -

I'm over 3,000 posts and not a hint of a warning yet. These guys are sound. -

I try not to annoint guys off one year of play. He's also losing Juju, Rogers, Davis, McNamara, Banner, Wheeler, Mama. That's a lot of talent disappearing. I'm curious to watch him next season. Will give a good insight into his pro transition, learning to play with and trust new targets. -

You should know, I'm a reformed man these days. With DC Tom to call everyone an idiot, I can focus on being nice and friendly. And Wyo says hello -

Oh my God. TEEF!!!!! -
To be 'average height' for that arm span, Njoku would be 6'10". Bonkers. He's also a phenomenal talent. Thought he'd be one-dimensional but he really tries as a blocker too. Not that good at it but willing.

Some teams expecting Williams to run in the 4.6-4.65 range - http://sports.yahoo.com/news/combines-40-yard-dash-is-far-from-overrated-for-rb-fournette-and-wr-williams-001042726.html Important that people don't freak out if/when he does.

I like it better than the Zierlein one, let's put it that way Career trajectory, he's probably on the Henne/Daniel/McCown spectrum. A guy you like having around as a backup, great in the film room but if he plays 16 games, you might be in place to get his replacement.
-
I should clarify my initial comments. Nate Peterman isn't a starting calibre QB, at least in my opinion. He's been the subject of many arguments for me since the summer with people who think differently to me. He's the classic offseason hype QB. He's white, meets every threshold, is articulate with coaches/scouts, smart, pro-style. Same type of guys like him that liked every other guy exactly like him (Tom Savage and the like). I'm honestly struggling getting past the idea that he couldn't win a job against Josh Dobbs, a QB so bad I have him as a PFA wide receiver. Personally, I think he's not accurate enough, his placement leaves a lot to be desired. His arm, much like with Brad Kaaya, is okay when mechanics are fine but, if rushed, it becomes insufficient in a hurry. Comes from an extremely limited passing game. He does have some positive traits from the neck up and they do matter, I just think he's destined to be little more than a backup. He'll stick around for a long time because guys like him do. I don't think he's anything close to an answer though.
-
He's not what people want you to believe he is. He could run 4.5 at that size, I still don't trust his hands and I don't think he's physical enough in traffic. Yolo, not seen anything on Brown yet. Still waiting on Chris Godwin too, I so badly want him to be his listed 6'3".
-
Oh, he'll be there in the 2nd, for sure. I mean, he SHOULD still be on the board in the 6th. Not an NFL QB.
-
Bucky Hodges came in at 6'6", colour me a little shocked. 257 pounds though, I'm not playing that body at WR and I'm not picking him to play TE.
-
The more I watched, the lower the grade got. I'll cut him some slack because of that god-awful passing attack but I think he ended up being a 4th rounder. The second I started making comparisons between Corey and TO, I couldn't do anything but call him WR1. The scary thing is, I think Corey can get better. Clean up those idiotic drops etc.
