  1. 2 more starts and 5 more losses against some questionable competition. Yes, I know w/l is a team thing, but 8-5 (6-5 in FBS competition) in his only year starting isn't exactly impressive
  2. Cardale Jones Verified account ‏@Cardale7_
  3. By most experts he really wasn't, but apparently he was to our guys! Mayock had him 41st overall, 2nd QB (link) Walter Football (yeah, I know) had him 85th overall, 6th QB (link) NFLDraftScout didn't have him in their top 100, which included 7 other QBs (link) Dan Kadar had him 99th overall, 7th QB (link)
  4. True, we can't afford 3 FA WRs
  5. 2 reasons for me: 1. New OC & Offensive system likely means more passing 2. You want the pieces in place when you do find a replacement QB in the draft
  6. If we pick up Tyrod's option and trade him on draft day we would still be stuck with $18M+ dead money in '17 for a player that would be playing elsewhere.
  7. There are others (1 other I know of specifically)
  8. Kind of chicken and egg, but I won't get into it as your opinion has been made clear in prior posts.
  9. It'll be interesting to see how our OL looks pass blocking when the guy behind center isn't one of the most elusive QBs in the league.
  10. It was size & running tendencies. The standard defense was he's the same size and weight as Melvin Gordon, who runs plenty
  11. Due to his size, not a history of missing 8+ games in consecutive years.
  12. Cleveland: Deshone Kizer (12) SF: Mitch Trubisky (2) Jets: Deshaun Watson (6) Bears: Tony Romo Bills: Jay Cutler Broncos: Carson Palmer Texans: Mahomes (25) Cardinals: Tyrod Taylor I decided to throw a wrench into things.
  13. Leonard Williams fell to 6 after being the foregone conclusion at #1 for basically the entire offseason. You never know! I'm trying to be optimistic. So that makes 8 picks we'd be happy with at 10 not counting Thomas, Fournette, or any QBs. I like those odds.
  14. And who knows, maybe we just hit on the HC.
  15. Let's go Buffalo!
  16. Clearly you'd like Garrett too, however unlikely the chances of that are
  17. I agree that you'd need to do that to paint an accurate picture, however, even if you don't do that for the other teams we still ranked 8th in PPG
  18. And yet 65% of the readers think we shouldn't let him go.
  19. Would you say our weather conditions are that much worse than Philly's?
  20. The definitive TSW Mock Draft has been completed.
  21. I typically don't respond. Also, I tried to do a forum search, but you can't search Dak because it doesn't have enough letters
  22. Yes, it obviously all depends on who falls where, but right now based on my board I'm thinking 3rd round for a sliding CB if at all. We only have 6 picks to fill quite a few spots.
  23. Oh right, I forgot you only read posts that are about Tyrod... Plenty on this board love to toss his name out there along with Carr. He had one good year behind the best OL in football with an excellent supporting cast. I don't expect the cast to change, which is why I don't expect much drop off, but let's pump the brakes on him being a prime example of what everyone should look for in the draft until he shows any signs of sustained success or progression.
  24. Yeah, that's fine. Don't disagree there. I don't think QB is our biggest need either, but it is certainly a need. Yes, and there have been some one year wonders. RG3 had an incredible rookie season on a team in far worse shape roster-wise than the Cowboys this past year. Nick Foles was incredible in 2013 (he only played in 7 games prior). Now he doesn't see the field. I'm not saying I expect this to happen to Dak, but it's way too early to say he's definitely a franchise guy.
