  1. I see him as a weird hybrid of both of those guys actually. But I also didn't think either of them were slam dunks, so maybe our evaluations are similar
  2. I'm personally not high on any of the QBs in the top 10, but that being said: If we're taking a shot on a QB at 10 I prefer Watson (if available). If we're taking a shot on a QB at 44 I prefer Mahomes (if available). If we're taking a shot on a QB at 75 I prefer Beathard or Webb.
  3. I don't think Ragland is Courtney Upshaw. He's at least 25 lbs lighter than Upshaw was coming into the league.
  4. Obviously depends on FA, but I don't see us taking 2 wideouts when we only have 6 picks. Hoping they go WR earlier than round 5.
  5. Lots of rumblings about Cousins looking for a reunion. Probably much ado about nothing though.
  6. 2 picks in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds and 3 in the 5th, plus the first pick in the 6th. I'm certainly envious.
  7. Adam SchefterVerified account‏@AdamSchefter 19m19 minutes ago NFL awarded compensatory draft picks early this year. Here's the full list of extra picks for teams: Holy cow, as if Cleveland didn't have enough they get an additional 3rd, 2 4th's, and 5th round pick... So, if I'm not mistaken, Cleveland picks (Rd (Overall Pick)): 1 (1) 1 (12) 2 (33) 2 (52) 3 (65) 3 (103) 4 (139) 4 (142) 5 (145) 5 (176) 5 (183) 6 (187)
  8. 42 of those would be sacks I assume. That leaves 58 dropbacks (3.87 per game) and he averaged 6.3 rush attempts per game per Pro Football Reference, so it seems to fit (60% of his runs are broken plays, 40% are designed runs).
  9. Oh I know. Just letting you know what one set of pundits believe will be Cutler's replacement
  10. ESPN's latest speculation piece has Tyrod going there 'as their best option for immediate success'.
  11. Did he ever change his stance? The two I saw were about a month apart and both implied the Bills were leaning towards keeping Tyrod
  12. CBS Board 10: R1P10 LB REUBEN FOSTER ALABAMA 44: R2P12 S BUDDA BAKER WASHINGTON 75: R3P11 WR ZAY JONES EAST CAROLINA 157: R5P12 EDGE DEVONTE FIELDS LOUISVILLE 172: R5P27 CB JALEN MYRICK MINNESOTA 196: R6P11 QB JEROD EVANS VIRGINIA TECH
  13. I probably need to duck, but if it goes that way Watson would be my choice.
  14. Cousins isn't expected to be available at this point, and Tyrod has been a complete statistical wash if not slightly better than Smith (Who also isn't available, btw) over the past 2 years. Carr was the 36th overall pick, which isn't really a mid-rounder in my eyes, but regardless yes. The Bill should definitely take a shot if there's a prospect they like in the draft, always. I don't feel there are any QB's worth the 10th pick, but I wouldn't be against a trade back into the 20's or so. Also would be fine with using the 2nd or 3rd on QB.
  15. He's probably my #2 choice at pick 10 behind Garrett (who'll never get to 10). After him it's Adams, Allen, Hooker, Lattimore, Davis, Williams, Thomas. Worst nightmare for me is all 9 of them gone before 10
  16. I hope we want Foster at 10 and stay put
  17. And if we trade then we are paying $13M plus a draft pick or some other asset.
  18. Next 2 would be WR3 & QB. I am concerned that our window of opportunity will be based on the age of the interior OL. Richie & Eric aren't spring chickens any more, but they're currently playing at a high enough level.
  19. And as we've been over, I think Tyrod is around 18th, which is better than 20 Let's put it this way: Tyrod is as good at running as Miller is at run blocking, but Tyrod is better at passing than Miller is at pass blocking. All imo based on my observations, of course.
  20. John Miller is a good run blocker and a not good pass blocker. He's young and learning, but that's not an excuse to say he's better than anyone else. In a couple years he may be, but this past year he was not. I am definitely concerned with his transition to the new system, but trying to be optimistic about it.
  21. Ugh, too many Tyrod topics, posted this in the wrong one at first... So, I pulled all below info from ProFootballReference's 2016 NFL Passing Stats. I just wanted to see how bad Tyrod really was strictly as a passer, without even factoring the ground game into it. I'll list his ranking among all qualifying QBs in the stats that are relevant. Attempts: 25th (436) Completion %: 19th (61.7%) Passing Yards: 25th (3,023) Passing TDs: 24th (17) TD%: 18th (3.9%) INT%: 8th (1.4%) Yards per Attempt: 21st (6.9) QB Rating: 18th (89.7) QBR: 9th (68.2) ANY/A: 18th (6.07) So in 2016 his worst ranking was 25th, for total attempts and total yards. Otherwise it would appear he was basically the 18th or 19th best QB going strictly by passing stats. Also, since a few seem to think he sucked in '15 as well even when he had more weapons healthy: (link) Attempts: 24th (380) Completion %: 16th (63.7%) Passing Yards: 23rd (3,035) Passing TDs: 21st (20) TD%: 13th (5.3%) INT%: 5th (1.6%) Yards per Attempt: 5th (8.0) QB Rating: 7th (99.4) QBR: 7th (67.84) ANY/A: 9th (7.10)
  22. And yet: 2015 2016 Offense DVOA Rank 9 10 Defense DVOA Rank 24 26
  23. Gregg Rosenthal had him 18th. If my math is correct that would be top 20
