  1. I'm not sure if it's been posted in this thread, but since 2001 only 5 QBs have represented the AFC in the Super Bowl. Yes, 5 QBs in 16 years... Tom Brady (x6; '01, '03, '04, '07, '11, '14) Peyton Manning (x4; '06, '09, '13, '15) Ben Roethlisburger (x3, '05, '08, '10) Rich Gannon (2002) Joe Flacco (2012) 2016: Brady or Ben
  2. If you factor in the odds of finding a top 5 QB in the first place, probably the other way.
  3. Ian Rapoport Verified account ‏@RapSheet Ex-#Jaguars OC Greg Olson is interviewing for the same spot with the #Bills, source said. He's a candidate along with Brad Childress
  4. I tend to wait until after the draft and free agency before attempting to look at next year.
  5. That's your opinion, only time will tell.
  6. They have? Because it happened with a completely different roster and staff? I can tell you for certain that this roster is 0-3 in games with replacement QBs.
  7. Cleveland: RG3 (I agree with Bandit that they draft DeShone Kizer though) SF: Jimmy Garoppolo Jets: Mitch Trubisky Bears: Deshaun Watson Bills: Tyrod Taylor Broncos: Tony Romo Texans: Jay Cutler
  8. No, that was Chip Kelly (HC), Pat Shurmur (OC), and Bill Lazor (QBs)
  9. Sure. I suppose first and foremost, Andy Reid's west coast concepts were the very first that Tyrod was introduced to after college. He trained regularly with Mike Vick when he was getting ready for the draft, and Mike taught him a lot about the timing, the route concepts, and accepting what your gut tells you once in a while as long as you hit your timings. Tyrod is also very much a rhythm passer, and some of the short screens and run/pass rollout concepts can put him in his comfort zone early and snowball into confidence and big plays later in the game. Some of the erratic play calling and trick plays this past year really hurt in this regard. Also, as alluded to with the timing training, a lot of the plays will have quick timings, which will eliminate the overthinking that Tyrod can tend to do while everyone else is yelling 'throw the ball!'. Finally, I think a lot of people's eyes will be opened when they see what Tyrod can do when he's asked to do what Alex Smith does instead of what he was asked to do that past 2 years.
  10. He can work in a West Coast, and I'm sure he'll tell them as much. The question will be whether the staff thinks he can.
  11. Nooo... But if I were Ryan I'd argue that Peterman pantsed Watson!
  12. Blokes, I think I found my unpopular QB crush. Please take an extra look at CJ Beathard in the senior bowl a couple weeks from now! I think he could be our Hasselbeck if we go the West Coast OC route.
  13. And this year's 4th, if I'm not mistaken.
  14. Last time they met the Texans didn't score.
  15. OC: Childress QB1: Tyrod Taylor QB2: CJ Beathard/Nick Foles QB3: Cardale Jones
  16. Well, he was replaced with their OL coach. So not well.
  17. When he was HC of the Vikes I'm pretty sure Frazier was his DC/AHC as well.
  18. Well our new OL coach was a DC for one year, so you never know!
  19. I'd assume it's the same technicality they were playing with today. They tweeted a video of McDermott signing his contract and said 'officially official'. I'm guessing it just means Frazier hasn't come in and signed his contract yet.
  20. Fake account, not schefty
  21. Correct, which could also be why we haven't heard anything. The Chiefs are still in the playoffs!
  22. That's why I keep coming back to Childress. He's not the OC, he's co-OC. And I believe he also shared some time in Minnesota with Frazier.
  23. Even if he was a QB coach it'd be a lateral move, but that's beside the point. He's 'Co-OC' in KC.
  24. The spring before Tyrod was drafted he worked out with Vick a lot (who was on Philly, under Reid, at the time). Reid's offensive concepts were actually some of the first Tyrod was exposed to. Knowledge and execution are obviously different things, but he has a level of familiarity.
  25. Andy Reid tree (Philly & KC now). West Coast concepts.
