John, I understand it's a small sample size, but let's not get into the everyone fumbles stuff...
Karlos Williams fumbled twice in his 104 touches. That's 1.92%
Shady has fumbled 5 times in his 519 touches. That's 0.96%
TD Mike fumbled once in his 163 touches. That's 0.61%
JWill fumbled twice in 28 touches. That's 7.14%
It's concerning. Hopefully someone stops swapping his stickum out for grease.
Sean isn't going to be involved in daily general managing. That's why we hired Beane. He will provide input when needed, but his daily job is Head Coach.
You typically don't compare prospects across years. The fact is that the 2013 draft class as a whole was pretty bad. Look at the 1st round, outside of Deandre Hopkins there really aren't any studs unless you want to count Sheldon Richardson and his off-field issues.
So one QB is asked to carry the team and produces fewer TDs and more Turnovers and you're telling me he's better than the QB that is 'hidden' and produces more TDs and fewer turnovers?
Over a 2 year period:
QB1: 7,620 Total Yards, 42 Total TDs, 15 INTs, and an average passer rating of 93.3
QB2: 7,206 Total Yards, 47 Total TDs, 12 INTs, and an average passer rating of 94.5
Take your pick.
If Tyrod tears it up and the team still makes that move they get to evaluate the situation through camp and then they can trade one to recoup some of the losses a-la the Eagles with Wentz & Bradford.
1. Peterman was a 5th round pick
2. Many QBs show well in preseason
3. Cardale was a 4th round pick and isn't being mentioned
4. You can NEVER have too many good QBs, especially on rookie deals.
