  1. I'm coming down from DC for the game, but I'm staying with panthers fans so we'll see if I can trick them into going. Thanks for organizing and posting!
  2. In reality, if we had the Bills' 2016 offense and the Eagles' 2016 defense we'd have likely made the playoffs
  3. The stats I posted were the entire season. The offense was average or above in 7/10 drive stats and top 10 in 3/10, the defense was below average in 8/10 drive stats and top 10 in 1/10.
  4. Did you seriously just compare a comment about a player who fumbled on over 7% of his touches to a joke about a fake beheading of a national leader? Maybe take your own advice, pal.
  5. Per Drive Stat Offense (Rank) Defense (Rank) Yards 31.91 (14) 32.52 (18) Points 2.18 (9) 2.11 (21) Turnovers 0.069 (3) 0.097 (24) Field Position 28.67 (11) 29.11 (23) Plays 5.93 (16) 5.95 (19) Time of Possession 2:43 (18) 2:49 (27) Touchdowns 0.264 (6) 0.229 (20) Punts 0.431 (22) 0.394 (20) 3&Outs 0.218 (20) 0.246 (10) Average Lead -0.94 (15) 1.43 (15) So the defense was top 10 in forcing 3&Outs per drive and the Offense was top 10 in Points, Turnovers, and Touchdowns per drive.
  6. Even if I take what you're saying 100% literally it is absurd. James Hardy's entire NFL career consisted of 10 catches and 2 TDs, and you're telling me he has not one, but two highlight videos that compare to anything Sammy has done?
  7. I watch the combine for the same reason that I watch the draft. I have friends who go through the process every year and I am interested in seeing their performance and successes. I don't think there is anything sad or pathetic about that.
  8. 'Most people do not listen with the intent of understanding; they listen with the intent of replying.'
  9. I suppose the question actually is, Are tax dollars that are spent on something you enjoy/like and use sometimes actually wasted?
  10. Seems like an attempt to generate interest for potential sponsors of the new stadium. Think about how often 'Lucas Oil' was mentioned through the combine coverage over the past few years.
  11. Seems like several already have too. It's been slow around here lately. I'm sticking it out (at a reduced amount) until camp starts up to see if things turn around.
  12. We swapped pick # 9 with the Browns (where Minnesota selected Anthony Barr). The Browns then traded up to 8 for pick 9 and a 5th rounder to select Gilbert.
  13. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that he has an impact on the season if Brady goes down or if he is traded to another team.
  14. For a day anyway. I suppose we'll know soon enough!
  15. Also, it would seem Dan Graziano thinks you have nothing to worry about!
  16. Yeah, just wanted to post it because it seemed to highlight the national perspective. For me the season relies on Tyrod stepping up in the new system and skill player health on offense, and big contributions from not big names on defense.
  17. ESPN posted a list of 99 People who will shape the NFL Season and 3 Bills made the list.
  18. Nope. Both are playing to get paid. Whether it'll be by the Bills or another team is another discussion though
  19. I guess I can lump some of the skill position data since 2010 into here as well since it's relevant to the topic (I included 2014 Baltimore, but I realize Dennison wasn't OC then). Top 2 players listed are the 2 most targeted players in the passing offense, if they are a RB I included their rush attempts as well. The next 1 to 2 players listed are the top running backs on each team and how many targets and rush attempts each player got on the year. If you want to pull it into the OP you're more than welcome to. 2010 Houston Texans: Andre Johnson - 86 Catches, 138 Targets, 1216 Yards, 8 TD Arian Foster - 66 Catches, 84 Targets, 604 Yards, 2 TD, 327 Rush Attempts 2011 Houston Texans (An outlier, for certain): Owen Daniels - 54 Catches, 84 Targets, 677 Yards, 3 TD Arian Foster - 53 Catches, 72 Targets, 617 Yards, 2 TD, 278 Rush Attempts 2012 Houston Texans: Andre Johnson - 112 Catches, 164 Targets, 1598 Yards, 4 TD Owen Daniels - 62 Catches, 103 Targets, 716 Yards, 6 TD Arian Foster - 58 Targets, 351 Rush Attempts 2013 Houston Texans: Andre Johnson - 109 Catches, 181 Targets, 1407 Yards, 5 TD Deandre Hopkins - 52 Catches, 93 Targets, 802 Yards, 2 TD Ben Tate - 49 Targets, 181 Rush Attempts Arian Foster - 35 Targets, 121 Rush Attempts 2014 Baltimore Ravens: Steve Smith - 79 Catches, 133 Targets, 1065 Yards, 6 TD Torrey Smith - 49 Catches, 93 Targets, 767 Yards, 11 TD Justin Forsett - 59 Targets, 235 Rush Attempts 2015 Denver Broncos: Demaryius Thomas - 105 Catches, 176 Targets, 1304 Yards, 6 TD Emmanuel Sanders - 76 Catches, 137 Targets, 1135 Yards, 6 TD Ronnie Hillman - 35 Targets, 207 Rush Attempts CJ Anderson - 36 Targets, 152 Rush Attempts 2016 Denver Broncos: Demaryius Thomas - 90 Catches, 145 Targets, 1083 Yards, 5 TD Emmanuel Sanders - 79 Catches, 139 Targets, 1032 Yards, 5 TD Devontae Booker - 45 Targets, 174 Rush Attempts CJ Anderson - 24 Targets, 110 Rush Attempts
  20. To expand upon my issue, JWill touched the ball on 2.9% of our offensive plays and committed 16.7% of our turnovers.
  21. First, I think you sell McDermott's X's & O's short. But more importantly, having an administrative, process driven, detail focused person at HC is perfectly fine for success as long as the coordinators understand the X's and O's below the HC. Our offensive success will rely heavily on Dennison's X's & O's. Our defense will on a much lesser extent, as McDermott has a system he wants implemented and Frazier is more likely to be more focused on calling the plays from that system (similar to Lynn calling plays from Roman's system, if you will).
  22. No link yet. The ball is still in the air...
  23. I hope his hands also heal so that his grip improves some.
  24. Watkins hasn't stated he's unhappy/bored in Buffalo, and he hasn't demanded a trade (yet). He also hasn't run anyone over (off the field).
