  1. My answer to that will be dismissed as bias/homerism (not necessarily by you), so I will simply leave it at we'll see this year.
  2. So you're saying you think you know 1 of the 3 things I asked. Good job. Keep deflecting.
  3. Do you know what play was called on the snaps you are watching? Do you know the progression Tyrod was supposed to follow on the snaps you are watching? Do you know what route each receiver on the field was supposed to run, or do you just see them in space and declare them open? I'm sure you'll dismiss this as excuses, but without that context all-22 is still nothing compared to film review with the team. You'd think if everyone was running free every play the WRs and team in general would be more hesitant to back Tyrod instead of following his leadership.
  4. 1) I certainly agree that Tom Brady is more accurate than Tyrod Taylor. I don't think anyone's arguing that. 2) Sammy's primary role in Roman's offense was big plays via superb athletic ability and deep ball tracking, which I agree is a misuse and far too limited a role. In college he thrived on screens, slants, and end-arounds. I believe that acquiring Maclin would allow him to serve as the big play receiver and let Sammy's role go back to what he excelled at. JMO.
  5. So, to be clear, if I tossed out a bet for say a Bills hat or something with the over/under line for 2017 at 4.5 wins you would take the under?
  6. Just one of these times I wish you'd spoil the lottery numbers instead.
  7. Clay wasn't listed because I only listed Receivers, but I see your point there. He is actually our most consistent starting pass catcher with 28 Starts and 28 Games played over the past 2 years. If we want to include him as well then 2016 looks even more ridiculous though. Including TE's we had 10 different starters and only 1 was available for all 16 games (O'Leary). I also don't see why you're using YAC to justify Chris Hogan, especially when Sammy essentially out-produced his past 2 years in 2015 alone. So on the Pats he caught it 2 yards from scrimmage instead of 30 yards downfield more often, who cares? In 2015 Hogan started 4 games, played in 16 Games and had 36 Catches for 450 Yards and 2 TDs. He was targeted 59 times in 612 Offensive Snaps. In 2016 Hogan started 14 Games, played in 15 Games and had 38 Catches for 680 Yards and 4 TDs. He was targeted 58 times in 632 Offensive Snaps. In 2015 alone Sammy started 13 games and had 60 Catches for 1,047 Yards and 9 TDs. He was targeted 96 times in 714 Offensive Snaps.
  8. What does any of that have to do with the Bills having "great receivers" the past 2 years? When you see that list I gave you do you honestly think 'great'? Especially when only one has actually played a full season without missing time?
  9. I accidentally skipped the great Hunter, he's been added. Many times they were 'open' because they ran the wrong route, but that's okay.
  10. In 2016 we had 8 different receivers start at least 1 game and 0 of them played in all 16 games. Over the past 2 years, the only WR to play in 16 games in a single season on the Bills was Chris Hogan. Here's every WR over the past 2 years: Robert Woods - 19 Starts, 27 Games Played Sammy Watkins - 21 Starts, 21 Games Played Marquise Goodwin - 9 Starts, 17 Games Played Chris Hogan - 4 Starts, 16 Games Played Brandon Tate - 1 Start, 15 Games Played Marcus Easley - 0 Starts, 13 Games Played Justin Hunter - 5 Starts, 12 Games Played Walt Powell - 2 Starts, 9 Games Played Percy Harvin - 6 Starts, 7 Games Played Greg Salas - 1 Start, 4 Games Played
  11. They weren't favored and they won, so yes, they covered the spread.
  12. If we go by Denver's offense last year: DT (Sammy in our case) got 90 Catches for 1,083 Yards and 5 TDs on 145 Targets Emmanuel Sanders (Maclin in this case) got 79 Catches for 1,032 Yards and 5 TDs on 139 Targets I don't see why a potential 139 targets would seem unappealing in the WR2 role.
  13. That list has the Bills as the 18th most likely to land him (because we drafted Zay Jones). Seems a bit out of touch considering some of the things out there on Twitter.
  14. TT also said the following in early March on WGR after re-doing his deal: He's definitely paying attention to the market.
  15. I understand it's a 3rd round comp pick, but considering it's guaranteed to be after pick 96 wouldn't it be better equated value-wise to a 4th in your example?
  16. Coincidentally, TT has also performed better than Flacco over the past 2 years. Also, and fortunately for us, Barnidge doesn't have BBFS and you aren't him.
  17. The Ravens have won 2 fewer games than the Bills over the past 2 years.
  18. It appears this way because the receiver he sees is already blocking most of the time so a throw wouldn't make sense. What he doesn't do often is scan back across the field. The preference would be for receivers to break their routes and try to get open by going the direction he is rolling, or at least to that half of the field.
  19. Because he has wanted to work with Tyrod since their days in Baltimore together. fixed that for you So, because we're picking a QB in the 1st they're definitely going to be better? I'd suggest you wait and see about that before jettisoning your starting QB. fixed that for you too.
  20. I've not seen much of that. Based on individual game spreads Vegas has us favored in 7 of our games, fwiw.
  21. Serious question - If thinking before camp even starts that there may still be hope for the season not even halfway through the schedule is a laughable concept, why are you a fan? Seems like masochism. Do you enjoy Bills games?
  22. True, but I think the overall point being made is that their presence opens up the offense in general.
  23. I think Brown fits as the inside guy the best of the bunch, outside of Sammy who would be the best anywhere.
  24. are you picturing that time we cut Cockrell and he became a starter for the Steelers?
  25. With a qb like Tyrod, when the pass plays break down and he's scrambling it is better for the receiver to break off their route and try to get open rather than blocking.
