  1. They're already cutting Winston for Fitz?
  2. No, they weren't. They were listed as "late 4th qtr winning drives"
  3. It was never tied, except when the game started at 0-0. You're thinking of Houston. A game I hadn't even mentioned until now. And stats are not subjective. How people present them is, however.
  4. What's sad is that NC State has had more NFL QB success than the Browns. Finley also looking intriguing this year.
  5. The Bills never led by more than one, and trailed by 10 at one point. You're adding very specific perspective and ignoring the fact that he did almost everything that he "isn't" capable of. - 4th Quarter Comeback - Road division game - No Sammy or Shady - Won without a dominant run game Just stop. Your selective memory is bad. Move on to another topic or a different point.
  6. So, considering yards per game is essentially equal, you're telling me you'd take 2 more TDs at the expense of 4 more turnovers? Seems like a losing proposition.
  7. The game was in Tennessee, not Buffalo. It's a 4th quarter comeback, on the road, with no Sammy or Shady, and with Boobie Dixon, Boom Herron, and Cierre Wood as your RBs. It was ugly, but there is no denying he put the team on his back that day.
  8. Well, now that he's on the team, he leads our WRs in receptions on the year, is 2nd in yards, and is tied for 2nd in TDs
  9. Fact: Bortles has more rushing yards than Tyrod on roughly half the carries Fact: Bortles has been asked to do significantly less than Tyrod on a per game basis this year. The only QB with fewer attempts per game than Bortles is Carr, and Carr missed half a game due to injury. Fact: Bortles is averaging 190.7 yards per game, Tyrod is averaging 189.2. Fact: Bortles has 6 turnovers to Tyrod's 2.
  10. Last I saw he was an assistant on Andy Reid's staff in KC, not broadcasting.
  11. You might want to fact check before posting nonsense.
  12. I think, with Rodgers getting injured, that the quality back up QBs will be a talking point for a week or 2.
  13. I used to want to go when it was in NYC every year. Now that it moves around I just don't care. I might show up if they held it in DC, though.
  14. They just promoted Joe Callahan to their 53 and signed Jerod Evans to their Practice Squad. Knowing them that'll be their only move at the position.
  15. Ridiculous. Jets have faced Tyrod, Carr, Cutler, Bortles, Kizer/Hogan, and Brady. Tyrod was 4th of those 6. Carolina has faced Hoyer, Tyrod, Brees, Brady, Stafford, and Wentz (Kind of a murderers row). Tyrod was the worst of these 6, but only Brady had more than 230 yards passing against that D. Denver has faced Rivers, Prescott, Tyrod, Carr/Manuel, and Manning. Tyrod was 4th of those 5. Atlanta has faced Glennon, Rodgers, Stafford, Tyrod, and Cutler. Tyrod was 4th of those 5. Cincy has faced Flacco, Watson, Rodgers, Kizer/Hogan, and Tyrod. Tyrod had the 3rd best performance of those 5. If you want to talk about helping averages let's talk about teams that played Baltimore. Like Flacco's 28 yards against Jacksonville
  16. Deonte will be the new downfield guy. Hopefully he's up to speed this week, but definitely next week
  17. Didn't they get 2 starters back this week that were out to start the season?
  18. It was a post from Monday, when he was not at practice.
  19. I'd have to imagine it's more about the sport itself being politicized than the protests themselves. Football was a retreat from reality for many. Something that anyone could bond over regardless of other views on politics, religion, current events etc. Now that stuff has bled into football and it is no longer a retreat, so people are finding new things to fill that need. My firsthand experience, though somewhat unrelated, is with college football. As a freshman at VT during the tragedy in 2007, I can tell you that while the whole experience brought us together as a community, it was also in the back of everyone's minds. There was suddenly a much more visible police presence around campus. Double doors now only had 1 handle so that they could not be chained closed. Little things, but things you noticed and encountered every day. Fall of sophomore year rolled around and still, it was that elephant in the room. Always on everyone's mind, but nobody wanted to talk about it. Until September 1, 2007. Opening day for VT Football. Lane Stadium was packed, Enter Sandman came on and everyone was jumping. It was electric. And it was the first time in nearly 5 months that nobody in Blacksburg was thinking about what happened in April. It was incredible. And that is the power of football, or at least it was.
  20. he's #12 now
  21. I've got him 22 right now, but I also think he's headed into a bit of a softer schedule than his first 5 games and he has 3 of the next 4 games at home. He should continue to look better based on those factors plus receivers getting healthy and coming back over that same span.
  22. Reminds me of a couple years ago in Houston.
  23. Yeah, he's pretty much on pace for Kaep's 2014 season with ~4,000 all purpose yards. (Kaep had 3,369 & 639, Watson on pace for 3,459 & 539)
  24. I wanted him instead of Goodwin in 2015
