  1. So here's a little story about a day 3 draft pick at QB. He sat for a few years and finally got an opportunity to come into the season as his team's starter in 2015. He put together solid seasons in 2015 and 2016, but 2017 was his worst year by nearly any statistical measure. 2017 wasn't entirely his fault, though. It was his first year with a new OC because his previous OC was hired to be the HC in LA. His top 2 WRs from 2015 and 2016 were no longer with the team in 2017, and OL injuries were an issue throughout the year. In addition to all that, his favorite target (his TE) was also injured for a portion of the year. This QB was also a contributor on the ground, ranking top 3 in rushing TDs by QBs from 2015-2017. His team made the playoffs once in his 3 years as a starter, and despite consistently below average defensive performance over the 3 years, the team has a record above .500 when he starts. Now that 2017 is over, many of the local fans criticize him because they do not believe he is capable of elevating the team around him and they question why the national media ever speaks highly of him. It is pretty clear that the team also intends to move on from him prior to the 2018 season. Who's that QB?
  2. Sorry you were offended, but it kind of stands out when the first 1/3 of your post contained lots of numbers and none of them were accurate today.
  3. Seriously. Look at the very first line of that chart.
  4. You linked me to his career GWD's. I literally told you that one was from 2012. You claimed they all came in 2015 or later. I'm not even arguing against Cousins, I just prefer that people are accurate with the stuff they post.
  5. I think his point was that Brissett's only year was worse than Tyrod's worst year as a starter by nearly all measures. He had a lower completion %, fewer passing TDs, more INTs, more sacks, more lost fumbles. a lower passer rating, and a lower ANY/A.
  6. Conversely, if his offer is low (or non-existent) from Cleveland it says a lot to me. Have to figure Hue has the most familiarity with him of anyone in the league outside of maybe some of Cincy's current staff.
  7. Thats the worst part, He wasn't really plagued by drops like Rosen or Jackson.
  8. Hmm, most of these numbers are slightly off for what it's worth. Was the article you're quoting from mid season? Kirk has 7 4th Quarter Comebacks and 11 Game Winning Drives since 2015. He had 1 of each in 2012, which you are including for some reason. His totals since 2015 are 1132 of 1689 (67%) 13,176 yards (4th), 81 TDs (8th), and 36 INTs. His passer rating is 97.5 (6th). Also, not noted, Cousins has 13 Rushing TDs since 2015, so his total TDs is 94 (T-4th).
  9. He's their OL coach. Demoted.
  10. 14 attempts in the past 2 years is correct. If you include his one playoff game he's thrown less than 175 pass attempts in his career instead of less than 150.
  11. Good for him! It'll be interesting to see what the market is for a QB who's thrown 14 passes in 2 years, and less than 150 passes in his career.
  12. Cam Newton was much more accurate in college than Allen has shown. He's also a much better athlete.
  13. I don't think Allen comes anywhere close to the accuracy that Beane has publicly said he looks for and cares about more than arm strength.
  14. He's an admitted Chiefs fan who's just here for conversation.
  15. Watson and/or Mahomes would've been awful under Dennison.
  16. They weren't, other than Cowherd who knew nothing. The rest just reported that Cowherd said so. And when Denver Execs were asked they denied it completely, because they would be subject to penalty if it were true.
  17. The rules for players under contract are different than the rules for free agents.
  18. He had McVay for 2, just like Matt Ryan had Kyle Shanahan for 2. Washington has never had the playmakers that the Falcons do.
  19. W/L isn't on just the QB, but I'll entertain regardless. His record since becoming the full time starter is 24-23-1. For someone who 'throws an interception in the 4th quarter when the game is on the line' he has 7 4th Quarter Comebacks and 11 Game Winning Drives since 2015. In 'his' playoff loss he was 29/46 (63%) for 329 yards, 1 TD and 0 INT, and he had a Rushing TD. Matt Ryan and Kirk Cousins are incredibly comparable NFL QBs. One just happens to be on a better team.
  20. I don't understand. Since becoming a starter in 2015, Cousins' and Ryan's production numbers are incredibly similar (and Cousins doesn't have Julio Jones or a run game). 0.1% difference in Completion %, 10 YPG difference, and Kirk has accounted for 15 more TDs and 2 more Turnovers than Matt Ryan in those 3 years. I think Cousins has more game winning drives in that span too.
  21. Agree to disagree. I don't think they mind being like the Eagles or the Rams as long as they achieve sustainable success.
  22. As a Bills fan I find his opinions pretty odd. Also, based on his newest mock the Bills are staying put and passing on Rudolph (and QB in general) at 21 & 22. It's almost as if he put Rudolph first to start to generate clicks because it was different.
  23. They actually put us around pick #5. And that's with a 10% tax.
  24. Well, at a minimum I would imagine they will air different commercials during the Bills' pick.
