  1. When you're physically capable of making the passes you get a little more leeway to figure things out.
  2. He was a 50% passer last preseason and was 1/16 for 7 yards when rushed during preseason.
  3. I think the double negative may have gotten you. I have wanted Allen to start since the day after the draft.
  4. Nope. Time to build the team around the few shiny pieces we have. Get a premier pass rusher, a few OL, a WR, a CB, and more youth at RB.
  5. There is no justifiable reason to start Nathan Peterman at QB ever.
  6. No, that is only true if you take preseason for face value. You can't do that. The coaches asked Allen to do what they wanted, which was long developing routes without his LT and while rotating interior linemen. All Allen has proven at this point is that he is a quick learner and already significantly better than Nathan Peterman.
  7. Because Allen hasn't proven that he isn't an NFL QB.
  8. Shady will be happy, and so will his fantasy owners.
  9. I'm legitimately disappointed that he's even on the roster still. Hopefully he doesn't dress for the game. Logan is more viable as a backup than Peterman...
  10. I will continue to doubt anyone who sees Nathan Peterman as an NFL QB.
  11. ANY/A is, in my opinion, a pretty good indicator of a QB's performance. Here is every QB who has attempted at least 65 passes from 1998-2018 sorted by descending ANY/A Here is the same list, sorted ascending... There are 241 qualifying QBs. He is the only one with a negative score.

  13. Best: I'm not saying they're the best team in the league, but I came away very impressed with the Redskins. Also, Aaron Rodgers is better than at least 8 teams by himself. Worst: Hard to consider anyone other than the Bills here, though I do think we are a better team with Allen under center. Titans could be in for a rough season if Mariota is out and Gabbert is in. Surprise: has to be the Bucs and Fitzy. He's going to throw 4 INTs next week though. He did it in 2016 against us. Threw for almost 400 yards and never made the mistake we were all waiting for him to make. Then the next week against the Chiefs he threw for 188 yards and 6 INTs.
  14. 8 in 70 if you include the Jags 1, his other was the Saints when we were down by 91.37
  15. 30/70 for 290 Yards (4.14 YPA) 2 TDs and 8 INTs in roughly 2 games worth of action. Translates to a 25.0 Passer Rating and a negative ANY/A.
  16. I'll need to review the film before making any determinations like that.
  17. I applaud you for pulling it together enough to compose this. Thanks Virgil.
  18. I use the 'insert other media' button and from URL. Make sure the last thing in the address is .gif or .gifv
  19. Based on the talent pool available, I think it's going to take some trades to pull off. Kind of like the Watkins trade for the Rams. They weren't getting a WR like that in FA.
  20. No, that was used for Edmunds
  21. It's not a premier position, but Harrison Phillips is a guy I expect to be around for a long time.
  22. I respect that. I'm a bit younger. I was too young to really grasp the Super Bowl years. Most of my legitimate fandom has been encompassed by the drought. Even so, this is the least optimistic I have ever felt coming into a season and that was compounded by the announcement of the starting QB - a player evaluation that I thought the staff got completely and totally wrong. Unfortunately, this came to light in week 1. Now it is time for the professionals to be professionals, own their mistakes, and make the correct moves to get past it. If they cannot, then I cannot support them.
