  1. Instead of starting another thread, I'd just revive this. The offense, which looked fixed vs. NE, again just not what one expects from Buffalo. Allen was bad yesterday (except for his legs). Receivers don't seem to get much open field and yet again the weather sucked. Something about playing at home and not having a home field advantage this year too. Watched some of Rogers last night and just how good he & Adams are. Then see Burrows and Chase (a rookie) in open field, and again want to see that with Allen. Brady with another 400 yard game too. Still high on the Bills, but this won't do in the playoffs. Everything positive vs. NE, now you wonder a little about.
  2. Every week and you wonder what the forecast will be. Watching LAC/Den, Dallas/Ariz, KC/Cin and so on and so forth and weather isn't a talking point....
  3. Now 100 passing TDs and 30 rushing.....😜
  4. I'll pass.... Coming here the day after the game and being critiqued for not running the ball enough and playing smash mouth football, or scoring 35+ points is taking away the old time aesthetic you crave, would be too much.....😜
  5. And if all the QBs thrown into the fire that failed, if only McD had coached them and brought them along slowly, they'd be stars now.
  6. And so am I..... As said water under the bridge and just was interesting seeing Kyler Murray's collegiate #'s vs. Josh's and how different the two coaches approached it. And maybe they win the Houston game as he is more relaxed and prepared.
  7. Of course he has, and again no way of knowing if they were a little more liberal with the play calling or got him another weapon or two early on, how much better he could be.
  8. Yep I was vocal early on that Peterman was named the started, and so thankful game 1 was vs. Baltimore and he lasted one half. I continually was yes upset at how bad the offense was around him and yep the inability to do what every team in the league is able to do every year, which is have a QB throw for 300 yards in a game (all except the Bills of course, who went 3 years)..... I just thought it was an interesting comparison, but obviously there's always excuses for the Bills & McD. Maybe as a Bills fan, I always looked at it with rose coloured glasses, but I was going to cheer Allen on from day 1 and wanted to see him perform. And yes this was debated a lot in 2018 & 2019. But yep keep the excuses coming as to why Kyler could be "fast-tracked" and Allen could not.
  9. I know I was very vocal that I thought McD and the Bills really brought him along too slow and what we saw in 2020, we could have seen more of in 2018 & 2019. Look it is water under the bridge, but seems every time it's discussed there is always a debate and those backing the Bills (and McD's decisions) will always go on about how raw Allen was. I was looking up Kyler Murray in another thread talking about Allen's 20 Rushing/100 Passing TDs in the first 4 seasons and Kyler Murray may duplicate it next year. Then looked at Murray's College stats, vs. Josh's and was so surprised how little Murray played in college and very similar totals. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/josh-allen-7.html https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/kyler-murray-1.html And there was no question Kyler was the QB and given free reigns from day 1. Again just something I found interesting...... Flame away.
  10. 1 More Rushing TD in the last two games and it is the 30/100 club. Already the 25/100 club. Of course I will add, too bad McD was so conservative with him the first two years or #'s would be higher (and probably ints too). Interesting that Lamar only has 21 rushing TD's.
  11. What hot streak? A half vs. TB (failure in OT), not so great vs. Carolina and yep a great game vs. NE. Look closer at the $'s and they are just okay imo.
  12. Talk about cherry picking..... Didn't Brady throw for 250 the first half and the Fournette TD run? Right now I'm sure everyone is excited about the 'boys. But Washington & the Giants are terrible..... All teams have warts. Let the Bills get in the playoffs and hope the Defense does their job. As said I'm holding my breath every third down & awaiting that conversion (or waiting for that yellow flag).
  13. But the only team to have given up 3, 45 yd plus touchdown runs. Again look at the quarterbacks that played against. If the defense is good unfortunately there have been times that it has let the team down, & And I pointed out the Tennessee and the Tampa Bay games. And they play 2 cupcake offenses the next 2 weeks and I'm sure they'll do just fine fingers crossed.
  14. Read what I said. They are good, but hard to really tell based on the offenses and QB's they faced. They played very well vs. Mahomes and had a good second half vs. TB (terrible the first half and in OT). Tannehill was the 3rd best qb they faced and he started terrible the first half, but like the Pats last week, scored every time they touched the ball the second half. When you mention the "Wind Game", regardless what you say they allowed a 75 yard TD run on 3rd & 5 when everyone knew they were running and I hated the defensive set they had that play. They also let Mac gain 5 yards on two QB sneaks (including 4th down), which was disappointing.
  15. Again the Bills have faced very few good QBs all year. The # of back-ups and rookies unbelievable. Only Brady & Mahomes. And when Tennessee needed plays Tannehill delivered vs. the Bills too. Not saying they are bad, just the games the Bills really needed them to step up, they really haven't been anything more then okay.
  16. It is a continual issue watching the Bills. Throw out the Indy game, where nothing went well, but then there is the Wind game and that 76 yard run (still nightmares at how bad they played that). There are those 4th down conversions, that shouldn't happen as often as they do (vs. NE in particular). The Derek Henry TD, and a bad OT vs. TB. That and the inexperienced or backup qb's the bills have faced this year, is almost comical. Look as said get through the next two games and let's focus on the playoffs.
  17. But when you need that big stop, it just seems like a crapshoot. Like a # teams (Dallas being the most obvious, but GB, LA and others too), they can look real good vs. bad teams, but against good offenses, it is a different story.
  18. Woulda, shoulda, coulda.......
  19. He has done a much better job catching "catchable" balls this season, that last season he dropped (1st NE game notwithstanding😜). That is why when I see drops, there seldom is context, as usually they have to be a very easy catch with no defender in site or being hit. Knox last year seemed to "not make catches", which he is this year. Makes a big difference.
  20. Means very little. If a bad pass, then who cares? Now Mackenzie caught 11 of 12. he one drop, could have been a catch and conversely he made a couple that could have been incompletions too. Sanders dropped a TD pass that a professional should not. Doesn't seem to be a good metric on easy, wide-open, catches in coverages, leaping, or game-changing catches....... I'd like to see catches rated on some type of scale.
  21. Geez and consider the vitriol when anything negative is posted about McD here??? This is a Bills board. While fun to read a little about NE fans upset after the Sunday loss and complaining about refs, bad breaks, Mac, BB and the defense, back to Bills talk.
  22. And just not enough big plays on defense and can't remember the last fumble they forced. Ints are vs. Inexperienced qbs.
  23. Well done a secret admirer..... BTW Every team had a 300 yard passing game this year too.... Again how did McD accomplish it 3 years running????? What did he know that no other NFL knew? Clue..... It's a rhetorical question.....
