However interesting if you saw what I posted above, that targets down only 10%, but catches down 26%. Maybe a lot were just throwaways (or DPI's not called😜) by Allen, which could skew the #'s.
-
I think that is what I said. The Bills aren't doing a good job getting him the ball, and consequently the Bills Offense just has not been as good.
-
Two less catches is significant. If someone went from 48 to 16 over 16 games you'd say they should be cut. 24 yards less is also a big drop. His stats are down. And yes I'm saying get him the ball. Do you disagree with that assessment? Again why are others putting up #'s and their QB looking for them?
-
And that is who's fault? I think defenses adjusted to Adams, Kupp, Julio Jones, Jerry Rice and other great receivers. What a cop out.....
-
No arguing that he's had a good year. I want a great year. And yes like the top 5 receiver I think he is.
-
But has had a so so year.... If you're happy with your #2 receiver on a pass happy offense with 640 yards, great.....
-
Again great receivers can beat any coverage. Why always excuses? Diggs 2021 2020 Diff Avg Catches 5.86 7.94 -26.2% Avg Targets 9.14 10.38 -11.9% Avg Yds/catch 12.3 12.1 +1.7% Avg Yds/gm 71.93 95.94 -25.0% TDs 8 8 Even in two less games
-
Sure just like Kupp, Jefferson, Adams...... Why are there always excuses? The fact is the Bills are not designing plays to get him open and the ball (or has he regressed?).
-
So you're a fan.... Good for you. He hasn't had a particularly good year. Maybe injuries, but the #'s don't lie. Take receiver pairings, and remember we have a top 5 qb (forget Pro Bowl voting😜) and frankly the #'s are underwhelming. More balls to Diggs, Davis & maybe even Mackenzie this week I hope.
-
And for those posting Beasley's loss top the Bills. Yes will miss him, but in terms of production, he is 44th in receiving yards and 40th in catches for first down (yes 16th in catches).
-
And all good QB's do with their #1. Has been very frustrating watching the Bills and there use of Diggs.... Outside of course fade patterns inside the 10 yard line......😜 BTW as per Beasley being out. He is 44th in receiving yards and 40th in catches for first down.
-
Yes I've posted Diggs #'s being down and was told that was due to coverages and all the options Allen has..... Well down another this week (thanks Cole) and time to put up or shut up (i.e. Daboll draw up plays to get it to him). Outside the Jets & Texans games, Diggs, like the offense just not like 2020. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/2976212/stefon-diggs vs. Peers https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/16800/davante-adams vs. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/2977187/cooper-kupp vs. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/4262921/justin-jefferson Justin Jefferson was the pick the Bills gave up for him. I think Diggs is great, just don't think the Bills are using him to his full potential.

I'll bet you whatever you want that Beas has taken plenty of things along with injections he has no idea about, but was told it'd help his play, increase strength, numb aches and pains or improve performance. But he's a COVID-19 expert. Don't be so daft.
-
Good retire...... This is bigger then them!!!! Would I be upset at players retiring? No, and that includes Josh Allen too. I just don't get it.
-
Unless admitted to hospital, I doubt Cole would admit to anything more than mild symptoms.

A Few Thoughts about the Panthers Game, in no particular order
Billsfan1972 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just figured there was not a lot to say about the game. Meh at best. As said in another thread, the good news is the Bills didn't leave the game thinking they've figured it out. Still have faith..... -
The Chiefs are in trouble...possibly
Billsfan1972 replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because the Bills will have a tie in one of their last three games??????😜 -
Missing the point..... I think the Bills frankly have felt they just need to show up to win this year. After the Tennessee loss, I wasn't overly impressed vs. Miami, but a lot here were. After the Jags embarrassment they rolled NYJ (whose defense was in the midst of an embarrassing 4 week run). Then they avenged the Indy loss with what they thought was a convincing win vs. NO. Frankly I thought they were not impressive at all vs. Carolina, but I have faith and think that is another wake-up call (yep there have been a few😜).
-
If the Bills rolled the Panthers after the second half they had vs. TB, I'd be again concerned that the Bills think they have figured it out. I said the same (and was lambasted here) after the Miami & NYJ games, where I thought the results were what I'd call false positives and the NO game where all were pretty up about the offense and defense. A little struggle vs. Carolina at home should be another wake-up call to the Bills that there is work to be done. Now let them get redemption vs. NE!!!!!
-
I'd rather go for & get 2 yards then go against Rodgers or Pitt on the road, when that game Pitt had all the momentum. If Lamar can't get two yards, I'd be surprised.
-
GB was getting the ball back and had time to get in FG range with Rodgers. Then comes a coin flip and again you have Rodgers vs. Huntley.... I'd take Rodgers. Right call, bad execution.
