That was not a Football Game Last Night - Weather ruined it
Billsfan1972 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was there for that game & actually wasn't too bad. But every year, every time I make the drive to Orchard Park I have to check the forecast and usually how many layers to wear. I'm too old for this. -

No it's a Buffalo thing.... Every year that's the worry come November, weather.... Of course the last home playoff game was 1996, so people forget. Every year I'd wager there are at least 3 games with inclement or bad weather in Buffalo. It's a running joke and that is why National TV always makes it a point to talk about it. -

It's just not fun. The winds & rain make for unpleasant games every year in Buffalo. That's just a fact. Yesterday's weather was the great equalizer. I found very little compelling and just a sense of dread for 4 quarters. -

I've started 10 threads this year. I thought the offense has seemed off, Diggs #'s down, worried about beating bad teams and it not telling us anything..... Oh and a thread last week (which was locked) that I was dreading the weather forecast for yesterday and gutted thinking that it would ruin the game. Really help me understand as a fan why they are just so terrible? https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/profile/24993-billsfan1972/content/?type=forums_topic&change_section=1 -

Yea go ahead..... Nothing I've posted is outlandish or ridiculous. I'm a Billsfan who posts opinions, and usually I will try & post some accompanying stats. I just checked that you haven't started a thread this year. I also noted that you seemed to have been miffed about my 300 yard threads that go back to 2019 on threads you've started. Go ahead look at this year's threads, which I've started maybe 10..... Yep look at me..... -

Get lost..... Really I posted my opinion on yesterday's game and that it was borderline unwatchable. Looking for opinions. You liked the game & conditions, good for you. I find it sad that this seems an annual occurrence for the Bills. Interesting stat they threw up about the least passes in NFL games & of course the Bills involved in almost everyone. No I do not miss the Joe Ferguson 12 passes/game era either. -

Your friend was absolutely right. I was already dreading the game and lived up to expectations. No fun at all. The fourth down qb sneak, I saw his knee on the ground. That was the difference. Regardless if the bills won 16-14, I'd have felt the exact same. -
I had a thread locked saying how depressed the weather forecast had me when I saw it last week and lo & behold it ruined the game yesterday. It was not fun to watch (win or lose) and please no platitudes to BB, it was a lousy game. Cold weather, while unpleasant can still be handled. Some rain too you can work around. A snow game when your team is playing for little can be fun to watch. But a crucial Monday night game where the wind is howling just sucked the life out of last night. Oh and Daboll's play calling and red zone offense has been terrible all year. How about one play that you've been working on all year when you need it?

Sunday late thread: Baltimore at Pittsburgh

I didn't see the pass, however it fit the Lamar narrative for his fans, so it was obviously Andrews' fault.....🤣 -
While right, that's not the point. The game in terms of the teams psyche (and that of many fans) is important. Either this team has it or doesn't is important. But sure, lose this week & next and then reel off 8 in a row & win the SB.....😜

Would have agreed, however when you used the word delusional, I needed to respond. They definitely can beat the Bucs, even with a loss, however they definitely should win tonight & that is why I am so bothered by the weather forecast. A decent night (dry, around freezing and winds <10) and the Bills sould win by 10+. Weather unfortunately can be the great equalizer.

Love going for the 2 points on the road. Amazing watching teams use more tickery it seems on 2-points converts then when at the 2 yard line going for a TD. Anyone see LAC's 2-pointer vs. Cincy and remember a similar one with the Bills this year too.... But 4th & inches vs. the Titans the Bills completely caved😡 -

Good thing the KC Defense is so good now!!!!!😜 -
And unless the Bills win, tomorrow will in all likelihood be posts about how the weather stymied the Bills, and they were outcoached. This weather I expect will already have be the significant talking point regardless of the outcome.

Sorry the game plan and particularlythe Bills best player is handicapped. Bad weather I unfortunately see as an equalizer. Again apologize for expressing an OPINION

I started another thread to ask opinions, but somehow seems it should go here.... So.... I'm feeling defeated and upset by this forecast. So far 19 pages talking about the weather for Monday Night and I checking the updates, I'm just gutted at what appears to be ridiculously windy conditions. Don't give me "You play the cards you are dealt". Do I want perfect conditions every week? Yes I'd be happy with that. Some adverse conditions are okay, but Monday looks terrible and certainly will play a huge factor in preparation and play calling. This will not be the best version of the Bills or the Pats, and I find myself no where near as excited about the game. The only hope is that winds do reduce to 10-15 mph......

It sux to have to look at weather forecasts and hope for changes during the week. Bad weather is not fun and scheduling Monday Night games in the North December on is just stupid. Of course come the playoffs, usually GB weather comes into play and few are happy. Look at these games being played in December @ night Den @ KC, Chi @ GB, Minn @ Chi, SF @ Tenn, Minn @ GB, Cle @ Pitt. Who wants to go to any of these?

Hit a nerve? Being sarcastic and frankly tired of the doom and gloom. Maybe the Pats make mistakes. Bills sorry are a much better team imo and home Monday Night and sick of excuses. I think that if both teams are at their best the Bills win by 7, if NE is off Bills win by 20. Sorry I'm a homer and tired of Bills fans fretting and the team playing scared/passive.....
