  1. But but but...... Your eyeballs & mine are wrong.🤣 Again I'm not talking drops in this thread, it is the tough catch or winning that one on one battle. The Brown pass and the Knox one were two perfect examples where in each case the Bill had both hands on the ball before the NYJ defender and then couldn't maintain possession. There were others too yesterday and then there were the drops too.
  2. I think we can all agree (except for the most ardent one's wearing rose coloured glasses) that the Bills have been no where close to their pre-season hype (and play through the KC game) since the bye. The offense has been off, bad in the redzone and Allen's only 300 yard game was vs. Minny (and that was only after blowing it) and then throwing for 69 yards the final two drives (to tie and then the terrible int). But I still think they'll turn it on. BTW I said the same thing after 7-6 last year.😉 Inigo, start a thread like this & expect childish responses and people pointing to 10-3 (which was the whole point of the thread😂).
  3. You tell me? A bunch of no names, playing in a dome and Goff throwing for 300+ a game. They seem to be making those catches though.
  4. We had maybe two good runs on first down and the rest resulted in second & 9. Tired hearing this. How about better blocking schemes, play calling and making catches and holding on to the ball when thrown to you?
  5. Always see the positives. The Bills are 10-3 but no where near the team many predicted the start of the season. They are winning (so are Baltimore without Lamar) but a team so highly touted shouldn't be tooth and nail week in week out. Anyone not concerned at their play since the second half of the GB game is wearing rose coloured glasses. Already can see the threads at the end of the season. Bills win the SB (which we all want), and it will be "See I told you so" Lose and can only imagine the takes.
  6. Omg the excuses. He had both hands on it before the NYJ player broke it up. It was not contested or simultaneous, he had the catch and didn't come down with it. His job is to hold on to it. It is the point of the thread. The Bills don't seem to make those catches as often as other players.
  7. And the Broncos Defense has been dominating and were at home and Mahomes & KC put up 34 points. Wilson had his best game of the season and at home. The Broncos have lost 8 one score games, they're snake bit. The Bills struggled mightily at home in a revenge game against another scrub QB. The Bills are 10-3. I'm happy with the record, not how they're winning games.
  8. They don't need to be playing the Bills, but it is tough to watch opponents do it against them. Today was just terrible.
  9. This team was the pre-season SB favourites. After two weeks, 17-0 seemed doable as the Bills punter was the loneliest player in football. A bad loss to Miami, but then even though they played bad, when push came to shove they beat Baltimore and then prior to the bye, really were the better team vs. KC. Since the bye and halftime vs. GB they've sputtered. Take a look at SF & Philly this week. KC took care of business on the road and Cincy controlled Cleveland. What did the Bills do? 5 straight punts vs. NYJ and then when they could have closed out the game looked lost. 10-3 and still in the drivers seat, but no one is excited right now, which may not be a terrible thing. How many times have us fans said "Next week"? Plenty here are very good at that!!!!!😉
  10. We've made very few this year. None today.
  11. "I love Buffalo for the December/January weather" Said no one.....
  12. Both plays the ball was in both hands prior to the defenders. Both times they did not secure it. Neither was a 50/50 play, they didn't hold on to it. See my thread on this I put up yesterday. Prescient.
  13. how about just making a contested catch. It was in both his hands (just like Brown) and neither made the play. Not every pass is perfect and sometimes the receiver needs to make a play.
  14. Anyone watch Detroit & Minny. Damn I hate 700+ passing.....
  15. But it's not a problem and I am the one who needs my eyes checked...... They weren't easy catches (some were drops), but help Allen once in a while.
  16. Now I'll double down. Pathetic today. Can they make one contested catch? Counted at least four to five passes that should have been caught. No help for Allen.
  17. Brown dropped a catchable pass.
  18. Again that is a different discussion and you are welcome to start a thread Efficiency, Chunk Plays and Production. The Bills are an elite team. They are one of the best offenses. I watch other games and if you want me to divide by 31, I still say I see more from other teams. And yes I'll now call out John Brown, dropping one at the 5 yard line. And now Mackenzie.😡
  19. So you disagree..... Thanks for the opinion. Care to elaborate? I posted my Observation and you think the Bills have made those catches. Here let me help you from the OP. Am I wrong to think we don't see as many by the Bills? That was the question I asked and elaborated explaining what my definition of a difficult catch is. Thank you for sharing.
  20. Of course the Bills make some. I said "not as many". I said it was an observation from watching other games. I started a thread to to see what others thought. You are welcome to say you disagree or that you think the Bills make "more" then the norm. Maybe I am scarred from the Minny game, where they seemed to make too many or the Bills secondary, where it appear they have players covered, but the player makes the catch because the Bills player didn't turn his head or get his arm up. No I do not break down every team and every play, but watch a lot and see more of these "catches" watching other teams. And please tell me as the your highlighted point why that may be? It is not highlights it is having the games on and watching. Even if highlights, I don't see as many from the Bills watching them every week. Geez this is like people upset when I said I saw 5 drops vs. NE, arguing that fact and guess what there were 5 Drops.
  21. Yes I would & I think Allen is very accurate. What I don't see from the Bills (and maybe I am wrong) is the receiver catching that 50/50 ball or the catch in tight coverage with the DB/Safety right there. I see plenty of great throws just past the outstretched arm of defensive players or as the receiver comes out of his cut, just not the contested ones (as an example). An example is Mayfield's winning TD vs. the Raiders Thursday where the DB was right there but the receiver (and not a top NFL receiver) made the play on the ball.
  22. Yes you were very clear, however people then decide to take it in different directions. What it shows to me is that to remain an NFL coach, make the playoffs continually.😉
  23. And McD's and the #'s should increase this year. Making the SB get's you 4 points on this scale (bye included). That would bring McD to 1.8333 should they make the SB. What position? I made it clear it was interesting, particularly how many rookie coaches and those with minimal tenure there are. I then proceeded to say I didn't think it meant a whole lot. McD is 5th on the list in his 6th season. And yes I broke down his stats and stated that this is what the pundits will say. Yes Lafleur will get a lot of flack too, as did others on the list until they won (particularly Reid).
