At this point last season, Bills were 7-6
Billsfan1972 replied to Kaenon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Still the favourites, just the odds have shrunk. They were the clear one at the beginning of the year and seems the consensus is they still are (as the #1 seed), but whereas only KC was close at the beginning of the season, more in the mix now. https://www.legalsportsreport.com/odds/super-bowl/ -
I hate the Bills Schedule - Is this done on purpose?
Billsfan1972 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes Buffalo is cold and again the plan is for an open air stadium in the snowbelt (and don't forget the wind). Frankly I don't get it. The season ends with no reprieve NE (night game got lucky it was okay weather), NYJ (rain/snow), Night game Miami, @ Chicago, Night game @ Cincy & TBD NE. All their division rivals have it easier (yes Miami is in Miami)..... Check others and all have better "weather" schedules. I guess I'm just not as tough. -

Instead of a new thread. Let me say it again, this schedule is terrible. Weather related issues way too often and now look @ Miami forwarcast & Chicago next week. https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/Chicago+IL?canonicalCityId=51327091448a763db3e0093b240009381d87952467e6c2ba8bad55f1328ec986 -

Billsfan1972 replied to Kaenon's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's being generous. They got lucky on the 4th down penalty on the first one, a decent drive the second one, but nothing explosive and then two drives that netted 46 yards (yes a crucial 3rd down drop on one). You're more correct on the fact they went 3 & out twice when they could have put the game away. How about 5 straight punts and maybe 3 first downs to start the game? This is an elite offense playing lousy. -
NFL Week #14 - Jets at Bills - Post game thread
Billsfan1972 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Who wants to watch that putrid snorefest? Thankfully a victory, not much else. -
Wasn't an issue when I posted these threads.😉 https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/topic/244296-great-catches-by-bills-receivers-are-they-winning-1-on-1-battles/ Been watching all year and yes every team has drops, but the Bills obviously have a few more & there are those inopportune ones that really gnaw at you (sure other team fans will point out theirs too). The last two games have been bad, but heck the Bills won so the good news is we've gotten away with a lot (though I can think of one late game drop, and another catchable one that contributed to two of the Bills losses, that most may not remember).

No the goal every week is to win by 40+. Sometimes you have to grind it out. The Bills have been grinding it out pretty much every game. The QB's we've played since the bye are a disinterested Rodgers, Goff, Brisset, Cousins, Wilson, White & Mac Jones (have to use his full name). The Playoffs may/could be Mahomes, Jackson, Burrow, Herbert, Tua, Hurts or Prescott amongst others.

Yes because McD tells them before every game, let's just win by 1. Let's make sure the game is in doubt until the final minute. I don't want a repeat of Pittsburgh or NE. Oh & Dorsey, let's make sure the Offense sputters and gives the other teams as many chances as possible. Let's see hwat our defense is made of. Boy I want to prove those people wronmg who say we can't win a close one.

Another LAMP Post as can be seen by the positive reactions (yes I am the Vomit). As soon as I read these titles, I know what the reactions will be. After last year and all the close losses, nice to have won 3 this year (Bal, KC & Detroit), but these close games against non playoff (or barely .500 teams) is not a good thing if not sprinkled with a convincing blowout and dominant performance along the way. Let's look at Dallas. Yesterday they survived Houston, but they destroyed Minny and had while not dominant (as games were in doubt in the third quarter, very comfortable wins vs. NYG & Indy. People remember the Minny game, while the Bills last really good "dominant" game was Pitt?

While I don't know the official definition, only very obvious drops are counted, i.e. when coverage is not there and the receiver does not need to make any extraordinary effort to catch or hold onto a ball. I.e. even though John Brown had both hands on the ball and was securing the catch, once the NYJ player's hands knocked it out, that would not be a drop (exact same same with Knox where the ball was jarred loose though he had it secured to his body). Basically you need to hit the player in the #'s and they drop it on their own accord or like Singletary or MacKenzie have two hands securing the ball and drop it with out a Defensive player contacting you. Yesterday there were drops, but also a # of contested catches that need to be made (at least once in a while). I doubt those were called drops. If they were let me know. Can sort below by week and will include week 14 tomorrow. https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/advanced-stats-qb.php?range=week&week=14

I thought 10-3 would feel better...
Billsfan1972 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes Wilson moved the Ball and was benched the following week (or was it two). The Jets won the game because they kept the Bills off the field. And yes Denver converted in the Redzone, which they have been terrible at all year. So I gave them credit. However they still lost. NYJ beat the Bills, primarily due to controlling the ball the second half. Did you watch the game????? -

I really only care about the Bills and they have underperformed. They had <250 yards vs. NYJ at home. That is bad. KC's Defense did not underperform. They held the Broncos to 320 yards. What the Broncos did, which they've struggled all year was score TD's in the Redzone. I'll give you KC's defense underperformed in the redzone if that helps. -

And the Broncos did it on only 320 yards offense and for once they converted in the redzone, which has been their issue all year. They went 42, 60, 75 & 75 yards and were 4 for 4 in the redzone. They had a good game. -

And you look in a bubble based on Average Points. The Bills are not an average opponent. They should be scoring well above the average the Jets allow (okay am not bringing up weather, which played a part), but the Bills offense was bad yesterday outside the 2 TD drives (aided mightily by that great offside call and a 20 yard PI). The other two drives were 25 & 21 yards (yep McKenzie too dropped another 3rd down). Talk about inconsistent. -

Yes I imagine they were behind KC & GB? And rightly so. I still think the Bills are the best team in the NFL. -

I answered the question. The Bills beat NE. It was a good, not great victory. Actually started a thread on it talking the OL & Drops. What more can I do? Royale with Cheese mentioned 17 games and I pointed out Pittsburgh going in the toilet after an 11-0 start. Again facts. I have detailed the Denver game. Answer these Questions: Is Denver one of the top defenses in the League? KC put up more yards vs. them then anyone this Year Denver scored their most points all year, but had other games where they moved the ball more. True or False? KC closed out the game with 4 first downs & preventing Denver from an opportunity to win. True or False? Denver is 3-10, 3 in OT and 8 losses < 7 points. Again True or False? I guess my factual statements don't fit your narrative? -

Well done. Did he answer it? No he cherry picked, but keep defending him. -

Talk about cherry picking. I had issues about the NE game, but yes a solid win (and to me should have been by more). I was stating that the Bills have not played particularly well since the KC game. I did not go as far as FilthyBeast (and still have them winning it all), but used Pittsburgh as an example of a team whose 11-0 start was smoke and mirrors and then we saw the real team come the end of the season. If we look as you say at all 16 weeks they were a solid 12-4. So you are cherry picking the NE game, but that is perfectly fine? -

How about the 2020 Steelers, that everyone knew was a fraud and lost round 1. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/pit/2020.htm -

BTW was responding to FilthyBeast comparing to the Titans last year. So don't go after me. I still have them winning it all. I am a fan.
