  1. Is that a joke? Flacco will play this entire regular season at 31 years old. Taylor won't be able to play at a high level when he's 31. He's Michael Vick, except worse. Much worse. Flacco's style will allow him to play until he's 40, if he chooses to stay in shape. He's arm is better than any elite QB we've seen since John Elway. How long did Elway play for, after the years of abuse because he was a scrambler? I'll take the future over the future, if the future has a ring (that he earned btw), two digit playoff wins!, and is entering he's prime.
  2. Feel the pain. Make it real. Accept disaster. Make it easier to sleep at night. Maybe there should be a showing at The Ralph. How many people would seriously show up?
  3. Who wouldn't trade Taylor for Flacco right now? Flacco to Watkins seems like a league changer.
  4. Try being married to that women. As my girlfriend, she rooted for Baltimore in a pro San Francisco household...my best frien'ds annual Super Bowl party. I had to calm her ass down real quick, and she was acting dumb and claiming she was gonna root for whoever she wanted to. A Bears fan, not a Ravens fan at all. What did Chris Rock say about uncle Juice... I wouldn't have done it, but I understand.
  5. Did anybody catch this last night? I haven't watched the live broadcast of this game since 1991 when I was 13 years old. Al Michaels nailed it with his last thought before kickoff...the key to the Bills victory was Thurman. Too bad Kelly didn't realize this, as Thomas only got 21 touches. It should have been a 30 carry 200 yard game for him. The Bills started off shaky on defense, but after the first two possessions for the Giants, who probably should've gotten more than 3 points, the Bills gained all the momentum and commanded a 10-3 lead. At that point, Andre Reed dropped three straight passes, one in 3rd & 1. Forget the safety that made it 12-3. The Bills we absolutely marching out to a 17-3 lead. Again, Micahels realized that that type of score would have made it virtually impossible for the Giants to come back from. At 17-3, the Giants' offense would have abandoned the run, amd clock control, and the Bills pass rush would have knocked Hostetler out of the game. The Bills' offense would have piled on, and a 37-10 blowout was right there for the taking. As bad as Kelly's play calling and play got with a 12-3 lead, Reed's drops ruined the game for Buffalo. He was praised for his toughness over the middle, but simply didn't want to get hit anymore in the biggest game in franchise history. Tough pill to swallow. After the drops, the Giants scored a TD to make it 12-10 just before the half, and probably broke the backs, and hearts, of the Bills. The game was lost by the Bills in the first half, and won by the Giants in the second half. I apologize for bringing up this game again, but it was interesting to see the original broadcast for the first time in my adult life.
  6. Oooop. There's always next year.
  7. This brings up an idea.... Bills should have a Scott Norwood jersey shirt game vs the Jets. Everyone in the stadium would be wearing the #11 Norwood jersey. Talk about huge national recognition for a first class town. Lift Scotty up, as many times as humanly possible.
  8. Love the idea of a list. Lists win everytime haha. Of course the main debate is everywhere but the top, but I think splitting up the franchise QBs would prove helpful. 1. Hall of Fame 2. Franchise And so on
  9. You guys have been there, right? NFL players in Las Vegas will be a complete circus. But hey, do it right, and they should be able to party, legally for the most part. But I'm afraid, there will be an increase in crazy DUIs, and hard drug charges. There's just too much, ALL the time. City don't sleep, and neither will these football players. They play hard, and live hard. I know one thing, the Vegas ladies of the night will take full advantage of their opportunities with these athletes.
  10. Very true. For the show, everything has to stop after the murders though. It just gets too bizarre, especially when Juice speaks on camera. But before that, it's great stuff. The big problem with the show would be that you can't interview Uncle Juice at all. A Football Life is all about current interviews, unless the guy has passed, like Lyle Alzado.
  11. Yeah it was! Flutie has amazing perspective on his career. He wasn't for everyone, and he knows that. But he also knew that to be his best, which was what was best for a team with him on it, he needed to be himself. Loved that episode.
  12. Rex and RGIII together. Nothing could go wrong there. RGIII doesn't get it, and probably will never get it at this stage of his life. He thinks he's the smartest guy in the room, and he has an attitude problem. That's not a good formula for what he needs to become. He tore the Redskins locker room to pieces. Quarterbacks have that power. About his talent...he was considered a guy that would be pocket passer coming out of Baylor, not just a running quarterback. Now, Bryce Petty is a developmental project, out of the same system! Shanahan was right...he wanted Cousins, not Griffin. But he coached up the owner's favorite son and made the playoffs. Cousins lives.
  13. Man, they do a good job on this show. Well directed, well produced, and well narrated. They can get a little cliche at times, but considering the crap that is on tv these days, this is a good show. What Bills player do you want to see the most, taking into account that you learn a lot about their childhood background and locker room personality? p.s. After watching the episode on Terrell Owens, I hope he never gets in the Hall. He just doesn't get it.
  14. Nice Norwood highlight vids. All those hooking kicks.....
  15. Omit the word "serious", and I think the statements becomes un-debatable?
  16. @elway In other worlds...we upgraded at quarterback for a dumb draft pick. We had to do something, so we did it. Next step to come. At this time last year, on this board, Sanchez was a serious option. I'd rather be the Broncos than the Bills, in just about every way.
  17. I did have that!! Can't say that I couldn't have used the money 😫
  18. I'm not sure if it's me, but it's amazing that the game was played in slow motion.. Are you guys seeing that?
  19. You're going to kick yourselves for not realizing this sooner. The real reason Rex is considered a player's coach goes back a few years. When he first started coaching, he had a nasty rule that he needed to trash in order to get the true love of his players. Now, he absolutely has it figured out! Ready for it?....Rex doesn't make is players play football in mid January, late January, and even early February!! Have you seen it out there...it's difficult! Some places are cold. Tough decisions have to be made by coaches. And my God...players actually have to be clutch!! And the pay...forget about it - it stinks!!! So Rex has won over his players by avoiding that mess. "Nope boys," Rex tells his guys. "The playoffs are for suckers!! Follow me to the first week of January, and then relax on your couches and watch those idiot playoff teams on your gigantic TVs. Life is good."
  20. I live in the area where he went to high school(s). A high school office secretary I know said he was always sitting in a chair outside the principal's office. With NFL size in HIGH SCHOOL, he kept bouncing around the area and wearing out his welcome. One school that couldn't handle him was a perennial national contender, Bishop Amat, known for elite future NFL running backs. This is just crazy that he had such a physical gift, but at the same time, the inability to utilize and profit from it and to keep himself out of trouble.
  21. The Bills need the best backup quarterback they can find. TT will get hurt next year, and he will miss games.
  22. "It was almost as if God said to Nicklaus, 'You will have skills like no other,' then whispered to Palmer, 'But they will love you more.'" - Sorry, not sure who. But it's great if you know golf.
  23. "Did dis dude dus do dis?" John Starks commenting on Reggie Miller's 8 points in 10 seconds at MSG in the playoffs.
