Leodis Fractured His Ankle - Placed on IR
ProcessAccepted replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McKelvin was a big loss. He was having a great season. The secondary will not be the same without him. -
I'm at a loss for words. The team just quit.
-
I agree that he is a good corner who is playing well. I just don't see him as the kind of corner that you complete avoid their side of the field. Orton will and should try and test him. Grimes is not a Revis in his prime or a Ty Law or a Primetime. That's what I mean when I say not THAT good. My original comment was for FinFan who seem to suggest that Grimes was not going to be tested. He may make a play or two but Watkins can certainly keep him honest. Lets get this game going already.

Bills at 9-6 headed to New England???
ProcessAccepted replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree but they are at a key stage in their development - they need to believe that they should win, that how we get past these should have won outcomes. They are sooo close its frustrating. -
They should just start this game already. How cool is it to have such a meaningful game in week 11. This is a great thread and if/when we win this game it'll be good to see the doubters admit that it's not the same old Bills that Marrone is building. I wouldn't bet that Grimes gets the night off, he's just not that good.

How Many Wins saves the Coaching staff
ProcessAccepted replied to rumblefish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm trying to think about the worst teams in the leagues and how often they flip over their coaches. I know the Raiders have to lead the list. Does anyone know if there is any correlation between winning and the amount of time they give a coach without having him be on the hot seat? -

How come Whaley is not part of this conversation? -
Bills at 9-6 headed to New England???

Call me crazy but the Browns game is the one I am worried about. -
Not with the season DeMarco Murray's having. It sounds more like a move the Jets would make.
-
I'd love to have him but there are greater needs that could be addressed with the money it would take to get him. Great question though.

The question that I have is if whether Marrone would have made the change on QB if it there wasn't job security concerns. Without that change we'd be an afterthought. This is the best coaching staff that we've had in a long time but that does not mean that they are good. -

9. Just because they were 5-3 anything less would be viewed as another 2nd half season meltdown -
Shanahan got lucky having Elway and TD at the same time. He may have gotten some RBs some stats but beyond that .... Chip is competitive on the NFC East but does anyone really see them as a real contender. Lets not make these guys more than they really are.

So who are the good teams that we are not going to get wins against. I'm curious to see the list as I probably fall into the stat cherry picking group, especially the QB in the draft failure rate stat. I'm not sure that there is a QB in the draft for us next year with the picks that we have.
-
Exactly. No one is saying Orton is Jim Kelly. He's just the best option we have. Stats do mean something no matter what some posters think I think EJs longest pass play was he td to JJ Watt. Orton is not the long term answer, no one is saying that he is. He is just the answer right now

It might be time to get Jon Gruden's phone number.

There's no way Gruden is coming back to coaching. Way too much job security and fun doing what he's doing. -
How many losses until EJ plays again?
ProcessAccepted replied to rsxfirefighter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Orton won't stick around next year as backup. Before we sit Orton we need to have a viable option. I think Orton starts 2015 unless EJ is clearly ready. We will never win flip flopping at the qb position. -
Broncos considering signing Incognito
ProcessAccepted replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As the famous quote goes "Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it." This USA Today article from 2013 nicely sums Incognito's career http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2013/11/05/incognito-bully-accusations-nebraska-freshman/3439819/ This excerpt paints a more accurate picture that you seem to have of his time here in Buffalo. "The St. Louis Rams gave up on him after he head-butted two opponents in 2009, the latest of the 38 penalties he committed with the Rams in four seasons. The Buffalo Bills claimed him, but dumped him after three games, leading him to Miami, where he seemed to settle down after signing in 2010. He spoke of getting treatment for depression and learning from his mistakes." -

Not saying he'd ruin it it 7 weeks. He would be a distraction. It's negative media attention, questions to the players, bringing focus and time to things that do not add value. This team has enough hurdles to get over in the remaining weeks, there is not the bandwidth to handle the baggage that this guy brings with him. -
Defensive Rankings After 10 Weeks
ProcessAccepted replied to TheBillsWillRiseAgain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I loved your post until I read the start of the 3rd sentence. Please tell me that there is another Kyle on our D-front. Kyle Williams is a huge reason this line is where it's at. Listen to any team that faces us and they talk about Kyle Williams. We need character guys in our locker room. #95 and #22 bring way more value that just what they do on the field. -
I haven't given up on EJ, but I think the best place for him is the bench. He needs to learn, and starting games is not the best way for him to learn. He was struggling too much. EJ wasn't progressing on the field, his inaccuracy was hanging our receivers out there to get killed. Developing him off to the side is not a bad thing for him or for us. EJ had a 58% completion with 6.4 yards per completion. 5 Tds & 3 Ints & 1 fumble Orton has a 66% completion with 7.3 yards per completion. 10 TDs & 3 Ints & 2 fumbles This year Orton just gives us the best chance to win. I don't hate EJ, but we cant change our culture and continue to lose developing a QB.

NFL networks morning show
ProcessAccepted replied to Buffaloed in Pa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What I find interesting is that the NFL Network only show the Bills in footage showing other teams, even games that we won. It's not big plays, just simple catches. There's plenty of footage against other teams but they also seem to show the Bills. -
Even Cortana is dissing the Bills now.
