  1. Is it too early for a who to root for thread? Jets over Patriots Browns over Texans Bears over Ravens Chiefs over Steelers (don't care about the pick as much as keeping the AFC North teams down; the pick will be somewhere between 25-32 depending on where the Chiefs go out in the playoffs) Rams over Jaguars Chargers over Raiders??? this is a tough one for me. Actually think the Chargers are the better team. Don't really want to see the Chargers go on a winning streak going into our road game against them. Giants over Broncos Colts over Titans That's 8 games. Over/Under 4 of those games going our the way we would like them too? Jets, Browns and Giants wins would be long shots so that is likely 3-5 right there. Would need to go perfect on the other 5 games to go over OR get at least one big upset out of those three games.
  2. Or does the level of play go back to what we saw in the 80's and 90's? Fewer good QBs so the passing numbers come down and with that the receiving numbers. We see RBs take on more leading roles and they have bigger numbers. Talent wasn't as good back in the 80's and 90's but people still loved to watch the game.
  3. We actually are going to the pumpkin patch. But probably Saturday. I'll catch a little of whatever game is on locally in CA.
  4. Yep. Anyone who watched the game yesterday would know. Agree with this as well. Teams could shy away from him too though if an owner or GM feels that is their responsibility to look out for a players long term well being.
  5. True. But we weren't we likely to set the NFL record of only 10 turnovers last year until EJ started the last game of the year. We have a history of not turning the ball over with Taylor. That is good and bad as we know. At the end of the season i would expect a good and maybe even very good +/- differential. Probably not historically good though.
  6. Has me wondering when we might see a talent drop off. I figure the freshman players currently playing in college are still the best of the best athletes. They started playing football in 7th or 8th grade or even younger and long before this CTE thing really go going. Maybe even this years senior class in high school is still the best athletes too and perhaps next years class. But real soon the number of top athletes playing the sport at the high school level is going to start declining annually. But then the next question is will we notice a decline in play? If the skill sets on both sides of the ball decline equally I would think we wouldn't really notice a drop in level of play as the competition level would still be equal.
  7. Boy would that be nice. Without a doubt the offensive numbers will improve. But as another poster mentioned many of the teams left have pretty high scoring offenses too so it will be a balance of how much will our offense improve and how much will our defense be able to hang on to their top ranking?
  8. Carolina held the Eagles offense to 90 yards below their season average. Two of the Eagles TD scoring drives started at the Carolina 12 and 17 yard lines. Those stats tell me Carolina's defense was still very good in this game despite the 28 points given up.
  9. LOL They lost to the best team in their conference. This hardly means Cam and the Panthers are bad or over rated.
  10. Why in the world would you take three straight deep shots in that situation? They were playing like their was 20 seconds left and had no timeouts. I understand taking a shot on 1st and 10 but 2nd and 3rd downs too? Just move the chains.
  11. You literally said the exact opposite on page 2 regarding a ball that Wentz sailed high.
  12. We got to get it going against a 30th ranked Tampa Bay defense at home.
  13. Bradham playing too hard out there. Hurt now.
  14. Is there possibly a QB that has yet to enter the discussion yet as a serious top 3 prospect? I'm thinking of guys like Wentz and Turbitzky. At what point in the college season or even after did either of those guys start to get real consideration?
  15. I don't think Denver went from #10 to #1 just by playing us if that is what you are wondering. No doubt we aided those rankings some but those are good defenses even without our help.
  16. Defensive ranks (ypg) of teams played through 5 games: 1.Denver 2.Cincinatti 3.Carolina 10.Atlanta 25. NY Jets And the teams we have left to play: 32. New England 31. Indianapolis 30. Tampa Bay 29. New Orleans 27. Kansas City 25. NY Jets 24. LA Chargers 23. Oakland 8. Miami (only team in league with an offense ranked worse than ours) The offense has to improve right? Question is how much and is it enough to get to 9 or 10 wins?
  17. Eagles are 6th in the league in points scored and top 10 in both passing yards and rushing yard. I'd say their offense is fine, if not good. Maybe Carolina actually has a decent defense? That's kind of good for us because maybe our offense isn't going to finish at this historically bad pace we are on. Maybe it has to do at least some with the really good defenses we have faced so far this year.
  18. LOL. So if the Eagles struggle it's everyone but Wentz's fault. Carolina struggles and it is Cam's fault.
  19. I agree. Problem with Cousins is he is going to be 30 years old next season with whatever new team he is with. How will he play at the age of 33 and 34? To me he doesn't look like a guy that will hold up at even 33 or 34.
  20. It's still early but this feels like a year where 9-7 will earn a wild card spot. Heck, both wild cards might be 9-7 with a couple division winners being 9-7 as well. 11-5 is very optimistic but not impossible. 9-7 does seem very doable if we assume we take care of business against the Jets, Colts and Dolphins twice we would only need to find two more wins between the rest of the opponents. This next game is a big one though. Old Bills would lose back to back games after a 3-1 start. This team needs to find a way to right the ship and get to 4-2 with what you have to still consider a very winnable game against the Jets after that to get to 5-2.
  21. Yeah but now show the numbers for former Bills TE's vs. current Bills TE's.
  22. And on the complete opposite end of the spectrum Green Bay has had two starting QBs since 1992.
  23. LOL at Cleveland. 0% across the board
