IMO Hyde is interested but like many veterans is more interested in playoffs / championship / Superbowl. These days there are a number of veterans who do not want to play whole season when previously they would sign up near end of training camp or preseason games. I think this partially due to extension of season. Physically I do not think he would perform at levels he expects from himself for entire season but for 4-6 games he could be an asset for Bills.

Each coach and GM should have a pool of money to pay fines for criticizing officials - fines are already not much an impact to amount they are playing but this way team is paying for what it should - getting referees with mistakes recognized. There used to be apology letters for mistakes but there do not seem to be anymore or the NFL league told them to stop telling people.

It reminds me of Robert Woods whose play (12 TDs, 2451 yards in 4 years) was discounted by fans who did a lot more than just catch the ball.

I think Cook would be better as receiver and Davis as RB with Johnson as change of pace back.

IMO if Bills are thinking at all about bringing Hyde back in it would be good to have him on practice squad so he could be in on meetings, etc wearing a red jersey in practice with strict instructions to players to not contact him at all. I think this would help DBs get up to speed.
